Our 1st BGOL team has launched their product.

Oh yeah...don't forget to list/link sources/give credit for any videos and images you use.

Thanks for all the feedback. The team has only been at it for 7 days so they still have lots to do. We just wanted to get the MVP (minimum viable product) up as quickly and possible and just get the foundation set before the end of this year.

Well done gentlemen. Honestly.

I look forward to watching your project unfold. I'm particularly impressed with the care you've all taken to document your progress and sharing the insights you've gleaned along the way.

This is probably the coolest collaborative effort I've seen on BGOL over the 6 years I've been here.

eewwll, you sir, are a scholar and a gentleman.

That's always the hard part. Considering this site is starting from scratch...if we achieve success, people will be able to see every step we took (the successes and the failures). So hopefully it will help some people.

:lol:Blunt can't catch a break.
Congrats on your initial launch.

More thorough review to follow...

Good shit! I wanted in but at this time I couldn't provide the necessary time. Good luck brothers.

Man this is wonderful....ya'll brothas keep it up and this will be a powerful site...Loving it already

The love and support is wonderful! absolutely wonderful.

The best way to support the project right now would be submitting content and spreading it across your social networks. just shout it out and have people come check it out.

This is our thoughts, on display. A site that says what you're thinking and that you don't have to visit in secret.. like it, tweet it, +1 it, everything. The more people that see the more that hear the more that we grow our own area of real internet.

With the support of you guys just doing that little thing consistently.. (visiting the site) and laughing, and enjoying and sharing it. it's going to be massive.. and you're seeing it first.

rare air guys.

thanks again for the support. just made some changes to the contact page so a few of the messages may not have gotten through. if anyone sent an email through there, kindly resend or u can always shoot an email to bluntbit@gmail.com with comments, questions, suggestions...

got a few questions before i made some space in my pm box so i'll just answer here...

someone said (paraphrasing) "looks good, coming along but why didn't u guys wait until it's all the way poppin and live before inviting the board. that way it looks like it was easy."
response: that defeats the purpose. the idea is to give bgol a play by play and some insight into the steps we take throughout the process.

the other question was (paraphrasing) "why do this on bgol? u guys would get more love on somemsgboardineverheardof.com".
response: never heard of whatever that board is and the idea was formed around sharing with bgol so i dont see how some random board would be a better look. not turning anything down as a potential traffic source so feel free to send any ideas but the idea is to build w/ the board so shooting some other site out as an "instead of bgol" defeats the purpose as well.

Post traffic stats, please :)

haven't started driving traffic yet so nothing too exciting there but got google analytics up and running & will be sharing the data. i know driving traffic is ur specialty so looking fwd to ur ideas advice as well sir.

and yes... the spirit of retlaw lives on.

Are you guys using Google Enterprise for email? I see you have just a regular Gmail account for your email, can we send emails to bluntbit@bluntbit.com?

Taken off is a stretch. Many sites are ghost on the net. Traffic and how they go about getting it what we need to know. My 10 year old can build a website...thats not a diss, it's the truth.

Big Head Rico, you do realize this was started, and is being taught by someone who has been successful at this very thing a no. of times. He's done it enough that he feels comfortable he can instruct other people in how to do it and be successful.

I think some people are projecting their defeatist mentality - which likely stems from a failed or many failed attempts - onto this, totally forgetting that eewwll is amongst the "few" who've managed to 'master' the process.

I don't get the feeling eewwll is the type to step out like this, and getting everyone's hopes up, if he wasn't VERY confident in himself as an instructor.

That would be some illest troll job of all times, tho'. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao: Dude get 'em amped, all in with the work, and disappear right as they're about to turn the corner.

But, nah...

...just sit back and watch, instead of offering up your negative criticism, like dude didn't consider the difficulty of pulling this off before he stepped out and offered this opportunity.

1. The goal is not to make a successful site

The goal is to show how to make a successful site and that includes what is looks like in the beginning, the thought processes that go into every stage, the failures, the successes so that the transparence helps a larger set of people.

I don't understand why people feel that you only release a product when it's perfect. If that was the case Zuckerberg would still be working on facebook and still trying to figure out when to launch.

This is a collaboration project.

Some people are already asking about traffic. How about you ask how you yourself can help to drive traffic? Put down the crab claws.

u mean google apps for business? we have a 60 day trial i believe but haven't activated it as of yet.

they charge per email address now, btw. nothing much but that changed about a year ago i think. used to be free.

but... just wondering...why would you send an email to bluntbit[at]bluntbit.com if you have an email account + the contact form already?

SMH @BGOL. With all the page views and responses in this thread, they only have 4 twitter followers. I know more people than that in here have a twitter account. That is all.

I was just asking because @gmail.com seemed more like a personal email to me. I thought having @bluntbit.com was more business looking. But your right it really doesn't make a difference.

Damn...lol... That was already my toned down comment because I didn't want to be negative.... Guess I have to do better.
