Our 1st BGOL team has launched their product.

I use to have a blog.. Got 200,000 unique views my first month, and that shit was hard work.. I got featured on some very high traffic blogs, made a couple hundred off of Adsense, and then soon after I started, I quit.. Blogging looks easy, but its hard fucking work.

I'll be watching this closely because if you guys meet your goal, and pull off 1,000,000 unique views in 90 days without paying for traffic, I'll be thoroughly impressed..

what were you blogging about?

I could do that without a team bruh bruh.. Fuck outta here with that bullshit

J/k good stuff y'all... Wish y'all the best!

Yes it is, but we have to put it in, and will put it in to get where we need to be to get to our goals.

Just check it out from time to time share some things, see something that would be nice just submit it, we'll look at it and post it. Aiming for a huge community.

likin the name bluntbit, sounds catchy and has a wtf factor in it that should pique the avg person's interest who stumbles upon the url:yes:

Once y'all update the twitter feed profile with a profile pic, website link and a blurb stating what it's about I'll start sharing the site and twitter page. Folx on twitter will dismiss you as not serious until you have that.

The main thing that helped me clear that 200,000 was I kept emailing Eskay over at NahRight.com, and he would reblog me, and give me a LinkBack... Miss Info also gave me a couple LinkBacks as well.

LinkBacks are KEY to building a successful blog.

Like a 2dopeboyz or nahright?

Were you breaking new artists or were you copying content from other blogs?

Exactly..

I was copying content from other blogs mostly, and trying to be the first to post content from Social Media..

I also had an account at Getty Images, and I'd get exclusive images of artists at events, and I'd blog about that as well.

Whats your traffic generation plans?

SEO?
Social?
Paid?

Backlinks and keyword research are the key to SEO!!

Social awesome content shared to the right people??

Paid....google adwords aint the same like back in the day?

Are u building a email list....to drive traffic??

Content and Traffic are keys to success.

I'm proud of you guys for getting this far.....keep up the good work....i like the launch site to document everything.

Yeah, man, I didn't want to say anything about it but I think we can all agree this is bigger than any of our personal beefs and more important than anyone's desire to troll.

Very true. At the peak of my blogging days I was generating decent traffic. When I had two people working with me we where taking over the blaxplotiation genre. Those two guys ended having life events happening and I was left to fend for myself. End up starting a FB, Youtube, Google + page, but was unable to devote the time needed to continue to build up my traffic. At one point I was getting 600+ views per day with no marketing. The blog WAS coming up as top 5 search result for blaxploitation anything. Not so much now :(

I was doing radio interviews and connecting with former blaxploitation stars. I was in prime position to make a serious move, but had to fall back because of school.

Congratulations guys! Always glad to hear the success stories. I know it's just a beginning and takes consistent hard work to maintain but it's good to finally see some positive action coming from the pool of talent here.

Ok...well for bgol folx who want to help them out, follow their account please https://twitter.com/blunt_bit or retweet from their timeline. It helps to add hastags folx will look at such as #postracial or something else related to the story folx search for. If you there are enough folx retweeting the account with hastags, that will keep them visible in the searches and some folx will follow just because of that. I'm not on twitter much anymore so I'm not sure how much my tweets will help, but if you can also ask your friends to follow them. Most people do this on friday, but the follow friday hashtag #FF is used almost anytime as a friend follow.

Some folx will follow anyone who retweets them, so whomever is running the twitter account, retweeting folx with similar agenda's/content will help. They will often follow and retweet you in return. If there are folx who have good twitter convo's or post good content, or retweet me, I'll sometimes skim their timeline, follower's and who they follow to see if there is anyone else that seems interesting, so the more interactive you can be the better for you, at least in the beginning. This can be real time consuming tho. There are supposed to be automated programs that will post pre-written content on the blogs and tweet them at specified intervals. I don't know anything about those programs, but it might be something worth looking into. Also check your mentions and new followers once or twice a day and give a "thanx for the retweet", "Thanks for the Follow" or "Thanx for your support" shoutout on your timeline. Give folx warm fuzzy feelings and they are more likely to retweet you. You can do this until volume gets to be too much. Then just do it for new followers. You can name several followers in one tweet.

If I can think of anything else I'll add more, but the main thing is to get folx here mon bgol retweeting your content so you can get page views. If the content is good, you will automatically retain most followers.

Good luck.
