A Montgomery County man broke into an apartment Monday and raped a 6-year-old girl in her top bunk bed while her older brother slept below, police said.

Oscar Rivera Herrera, 28, of Hatfield, has been charged with rape of a child, burglary, and other crimes.

Herrera broke into the Hatfield Village Apartments early Monday morning through a living room window and climbed into bed with a 6-year-old girl, District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said in a news release.

The girl's 11-year-old brother, sleeping in the bottom bunk bed below his sister, told police he awoke to his sister asking, "Why are you doing this," and crying, according to an arrest affidavit filed in the case. He assumed his sister was having a nightmare, he told police, until he awoke a second time to the bed shaking, and a man's voice.

The boy went to his parents' bedroom and then called 911 at 4 a.m., telling dispatchers that someone did "something" to his sister.

The children's stepfather held Herrera at knifepoint until police arrived, officials said. The family told police they did not know Herrera.

The 6-year-old girl was taken to the hospital for a medical assessment and forensic evidence collection. She told police that "bad things happened," according to the affidavit. She drew a picture to describe to detectives that he raped her. The girl told police Herrera removed her pajamas, hit her in the head and face, and grabbed her sides during the sexual assault.

Herrera was arraigned Monday night and was being held on $1 million bail. He is to next appear in court for a preliminary hearing Nov. 19.

I would have castrated his ass right there on the spot. The sad part about the law is I would get more time for killing him, or castrating him that he would get for his crime against a six year old girl, when the judge and anyone in the jury would have done the same thing

It was his step child, I am not saying he doesn't love her, I am sure he does or grew to love the child over time. But I do believe that if the girl was his own flesh and blood, the reaction or outcome for the perp/assailant would have been different. The outcome would have been negative.

I tip my hat off to him, cause if that was my own flesh and blood, I would be catching a case for murder myself.

I would have burned him or marked him in some way that he can be identified later... Around here the homies will break a window or catch that public intoxication so they can be in the holding cell with an out-of-towner for 8 hours. 8 hours is just enough time to break something on somebody inconspicuously and convince/coerce them to refuse medical treatment so they can't defend themselves in the county.

I hope he gets raped and bled out in prison... but what I really took from the article is the father is probably the worst case of a bitch ass Ive ever come across :angry:
 
That knife tip would have made some nice set of Geo-Political maps of the countries of the North, Central and South Americas including every island known on that piece of shit man's skin before the police got there.
