Opinions of Actinanass, Part 3: I can't vote for him

Re: I can't vote for him

I know I'm in the minority *which I really don't give a fuck about*, and I know that certain people will feel that I'm "confused" due to what I say.

Just make sure you vote today; for whomever.

Re: I can't vote for him

Bruh,

I AM TIRED of living in fear of what my corporation will do. I have been a corporate bitch for years, shucking and jiving every day with a mask on.

Let me tell you, you and I have been fearful of corporations for WAY TOO LONG. During the job crisis, we work our ass off for 50,000 - 100,000 a year, always fearing what our CORPORATION will do the next day with our jobs.

I'm tired of it. I'm sick of feeling so small in a corporation that has, at times, has disproportionately awarded wealth to people simply because of their affiliation with other wealthy people.

I'M TIRED OF FEARING CORPORATIONS.

The very system of capitalism must change, that is why I am voting for Barack. I understand the greedy nature of corporate America, and how nothing interferes with profit.

But brother, I'm telling you, if we don't take a stance against them now....then we can eventually scratch our civil liberties unless they're generating profit for someone.

You named 3 reasons why you can't vote for obama, Can you name 3 reason to vote for McCain?

If you think Obama IS NOT just another corporate puppet, you are in for a big surprise.

Re: I can't vote for him

You named 3 reasons why you can't vote for obama, Can you name 3 reason to vote for McCain?

Since you insist with the rhetoric...

1. McCain will give some opposition towards a Pelosi/Reid congress. *something Obama won't be able to do*

2. McCain will push for more energy HERE with an all of above approach. *Obama changes his mind too much on this issue*

3. McCain has a military record. Meaning, he has the understanding of how to fight a war *even better than President Bush*. The only true fight Obama has had was Chicago politics...

Do I need to bring up taxes?

I have more reasons why I couldn't vote for Obama than I could vote for McCain. Thus, this is why I made this thread.

btw, I did vote last friday...

Re: I can't vote for him

i didn't vote for obama but i DAMN SURE didn't vote for fuckin mccain. i voted independent. if obama is a wolf in sheeps clothing i don't want my own blood on my hands. besides, the original poster was right. obama has no real change in his plans. it's time for a 3rd party to rise fuck democrats and republicans.

Re: I can't vote for him

I did post this because of two reasons.

I was hoping that someone can clear up what Obama actually stands with his economics. *thanx Vegas*

And to prove how this would ruffle some people feathers if you speak anything negative about Obama. *looking 20+ posts in a span of 7 hours, I proved my point*.

 I'm not here to judge you man, however if all you wanted do was ask those questions and get some educated incite about Obama, then maybe it was not such a wise idea to go on a PRO-Obama BLOG-Post and write nice things about McCain, while posting non-factual things about Obama.:smh: If you have had any expirence on these posts then you already know most Brothas on here are going to speak their minds and not bite their tongues.
You a have a RIGHT to vote for whom ever you want, but it sounds a little to me like your seeking approval form OUR community about YOUR choice:( Hey man its your vote....run with it! Personally I'm in the military (officer), I make LESS than 200K per year, I live in SO CAL, and I'm voting for Obama because NONE of McCain/Palin's plans for our country benefit me or my family, not now and not in the future.

Actually, the whole point of me saying this on a PRO-Obama forum is to get educated. To find different outlets of information I haven't found yet. Not to mention, I could careless of anyone NOT holding their tongue. I hope the bgol faithful will feel the same from me. BTW, I'm not seeking no one's approval of MY choice. I was trying to seek if I've been missing something about Obama because I do not fall for slogans and rhetoric so easily. Plus, in the back of my head, I've been kinda wary of Pelosi and Reid. That became the main issue with me NOT voting for Obama. However, the American people decide, and I'm happy for Obama.

On the record, racism is officially dead as we knew it....

Re: I can't vote for him

I know I'm in the minority *which I really don't give a fuck about*, and I know that certain people will feel that I'm "confused" due to what I say. With that being said, I can't bring myself into voting for Obama.

Reason #1 His economics

Before I get into why I disagree with his economics, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm the only child *by my mama*, and the middle child of my daddy. Both of my parents was knee deep in the dope game. My father died back in May, and my mama stays with me half sick all the time. I work like anyone else, however I do have dreams of investing into the stock market, and other venues. I'm basically a young black man *age 24* with a 50k a year job, that's taking care of a household, and lifestyle. With that being said, *correct me if I'm wrong* but from reading Obama's economic policies, he is for regulation in the stock market. An entity that's highly regulated right now. I do understand that he wants to give the middle class a tax break, however, when you tax big business, big business tends to hike up cost of the product, and ship jobs away. Don't believe me, go look at 1976 L.A. I appreciate the thought of helping people like me, however, how is this going to help me grow economically?

This is really the only legit reason in your post so I'm glad you made it first. The stock is highly regulated, especially compared to other international markets. But certain segments, particularly in investment banking, have been deregulated over the last 20 yrs, helping lead to the housing crisis we have now.
As for taxing big business, you have a point. Obama's plan also includes taking away the tax breaks companies get when they outsource and giving tax breaks to companies that hire domestically and even larger breaks for providing medical insurance
.
Reason #2 The media

I've learned, in my 24 years of existence, that if a group of people constantly talks about ONE person, usually that one person might not be that bad. For example, how many times you were in high school, and a group of dudes claim that they fucked a good looking girl. They call her a hoe or whatever. Then, when you actually talk to her, you find out that she never gave them dudes a chance. Thus, they hate because she fucked up their ego. This is what I feel the media is doing to Palin. This shit turns me off of Obama because he is allowing the bullshit to go on. Some may like women bashing on this forum, but damn I would think a presidential nominee would denounce some of the bullshit thats going on. That would make him look way better than him keeping quiet about the hit pieces out on Palin.

This is one is just bullshit. First, the MSM wanted to love Palin had treated her with kid gloves for several weeks. Right wing commentators intentionally mixed crazy, irresponsible left bloggers who went after her daughter with legitimate questions from the MSM. The media had 8 weeks to introduce her to the nation and the McCain campaign kept her away for the first three. When she did make her own appearances, she failed horribly. That's Obama's fault?
On another point, did McCain ever once denounce the right's constant insinuations and lies about him being a Muslim or a non-citizen or a terrorist sympathizer? Once. Late, after the media put some heat on his ass about how reckless his own campaign was being. He never criticized Fox News or conservative talk radio. Going by your second reason, you can't vote for McCain either.
Reason #3 overemotional Black people

This shit is about to hit home. What turns me off the most about Obama, isn't Obama himself. Its the people *on this board, and in general* that do not wanna hear any criticism about Obama. It's like its fucking unpopular to question some of the things Obama is about. Too many of us are emotional invested into Obama, which is wrong in my opinion. Of all the people who needs to be critical towards Obama, it has to be US *black america*. Some might wonder why I'm critical, and wonder why not vote for him because he is black? My answer to that is, forgive me for saying this, I do not want the first black president to be a puppet. I have no faith that Obama would be his own man when he gets into office.

This one is bullshit, too. Again, holding Obama accountable for someone else's behavior. Behavior he himself has tried to tamp down. If you look on his history, including his run as president of Harvard Law Review, he's always been his own man, at least as much as you can be when you're the man in charge of two combative parties.
BTW, this will be the same type of niggas, that will go and riot if Obama loses. Thus, making ALL of us look bad. Funny thing about it, many of the people on this thread will distance themselves from that if it happens...

I doubt there would have been riots. Damn, you think Black folks are savages too? That' some self hate right there. I do think it would have been a HUGE letdown but riots?

Actin
In all seriousness and no bullshit, you seem like a typical 24 yr. olds: a lot of smarts but no wisdom. I was there once and life and experience have shown me how foolish I was. You'll get there and in 10 years, you'll look back and be like "Damn, I was trippin'!"

Re: I can't vote for him

The only problem I have with your posts is that you NEVER provide evidence that the competition would do a better job of governing. Thus, it seems like you are 'hating' for no reason. If you are truly conservative, ethics should guide your decision as well as your need for financial conservatism. John McCain ran a negative campaign using rovian tactics and Obama did not. This fact and the economic situation that we are in helped Obama get into office.

Give several concrete reasons why McCain would have been a better candidate and people may give you the respect that you seek. Your economic reasoning for not supporting Obama is negated by the fact that he has said over and over that he would grant a tax credit to those businesses that increase American jobs. Using 1976 as an example is bullshit; a more accurate picture can be conjured using the Clinton era. As I recall, gas was a little more than a dollar during that era. If the price of gas/oil is low, the price of other commodities tend to follow suit.

Being realistic, I know that Obama will eventually have to tax the middle class as the rich use loopholes to avoid taxation, but I'm confident it will not happen as soon as he takes office. I'm willing to pay my fair share in taxes, as I always have, as an American citizen.

AO, I don't think any amount of info and logic will insight a "Eureka" moment in Actin's syllogistic ideological thinking.

You are right, I could swallow his brand of criticism a little better if he backed up his thoughts not only with info but sources to that info.

I voted for Barack because he was a man that I felt would not only change the scope in perception of the U.S. in the world, but also because he is a man who makes intelligently succinct decisions that will benefit us. He seems more than willing to cooperate with people that will help us build a more efficient U.S. without destroying our integrity.

I didn't see those qualities in John McCain throughout his campaign, but sad to say I saw a few of them in his concession speech last night. Life is a learning experience, and maybe it took him losing to a better opponent to be able to be gracious and eloquent while being in a position of leadership rather than be negative.

Still, we have 4 yrs to see what brotha Barack will do to help change the face and interior of America, and best believe it will not be an easy road.

One more thing, we would all be naive to think that there are no greater powers at work that will keep the machine of capitalism going in the opposition of the people, and I' not talking about the divine ones from above...

I get the feeling from the two sides of John McCain we've seen is that John McCain would do anything, ANYTHING, to win. While that could be a good trait, it could also be a bad one. I take it as a sign that in a foreign policy matter, for example, in his quest to win on his terms, his doggedness could cause him to overlook with is actually in the best interest of the U.S.

Thanks for bringing this thread up.

Funny how my predictions came true.

Obama couldn't deal with pelosi and reid.... Like I fucking predicted..

On another note, I'm actually happy Mccain didn't win. Reason being, because now this election could be a landslide.... Repeating history are we???

I know Mitt's your boy but don't take on his deceptive practices.

Mitt not only found a way to not be drafted during Vietnam but he was actually campaigning for the war in France. Obama falls in that age group that doesn't have a war of their own like the 60+ crowd.

My point is, both of the candidates do not have military experience. In fact, YOU voted against a man who has one of the best military experiences in politics today. Yet, you wanna knock Romney...

Dude, you can't have it both ways.

You're vote basically proved that YOU do not give a fuck about military experience. You, and whoever agree with you about military experience, are full of shit if you voted for President Obama. This is why I don't engage on this board anymore. Too many double standards when it comes to politics.

I can tell you up front, I don't give a damn about military experience. But it's always fun to see how unimportant that is to the same folks who thought it was a disqualifier for Bill Clinton and now they're supporting a guy with nearly the exact same track record.
