I can't vote for him

I know I'm in the minority *which I really don't give a fuck about*, and I know that certain people will feel that I'm "confused" due to what I say. With that being said, I can't bring myself into voting for Obama.

Reason #1 His economics

Before I get into why I disagree with his economics, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm the only child *by my mama*, and the middle child of my daddy. Both of my parents was knee deep in the dope game. My father died back in May, and my mama stays with me half sick all the time. I work like anyone else, however I do have dreams of investing into the stock market, and other venues. I'm basically a young black man *age 24* with a 50k a year job, that's taking care of a household, and lifestyle. With that being said, *correct me if I'm wrong* but from reading Obama's economic policies, he is for regulation in the stock market. An entity that's highly regulated right now. I do understand that he wants to give the middle class a tax break, however, when you tax big business, big business tends to hike up cost of the product, and ship jobs away. Don't believe me, go look at 1976 L.A. I appreciate the thought of helping people like me, however, how is this going to help me grow economically?

Reason #2 The media

I've learned, in my 24 years of existence, that if a group of people constantly talks about ONE person, usually that one person might not be that bad. For example, how many times you were in high school, and a group of dudes claim that they fucked a good looking girl. They call her a hoe or whatever. Then, when you actually talk to her, you find out that she never gave them dudes a chance. Thus, they hate because she fucked up their ego. This is what I feel the media is doing to Palin. This shit turns me off of Obama because he is allowing the bullshit to go on. Some may like women bashing on this forum, but damn I would think a presidential nominee would denounce some of the bullshit thats going on. That would make him look way better than him keeping quiet about the hit pieces out on Palin.

Reason #3 overemotional Black people

This shit is about to hit home. What turns me off the most about Obama, isn't Obama himself. Its the people *on this board, and in general* that do not wanna hear any criticism about Obama. It's like its fucking unpopular to question some of the things Obama is about. Too many of us are emotional invested into Obama, which is wrong in my opinion. Of all the people who needs to be critical towards Obama, it has to be US *black america*. Some might wonder why I'm critical, and wonder why not vote for him because he is black? My answer to that is, forgive me for saying this, I do not want the first black president to be a puppet. I have no faith that Obama would be his own man when he gets into office.

BTW, this will be the same type of niggas, that will go and riot if Obama loses. Thus, making ALL of us look bad. Funny thing about it, many of the people on this thread will distance themselves from that if it happens...

Because I have a difference in opinion about this situation?

Oh let me guess, I have to do exactly what other posters do on here. Lick Obama's balls to sound educated. Thanks for proving my point about overemotional black folks and Obama.

No, because your ideology clouds your reason.

He also plans to end tax breaks for companies who ship jobs overseas. Lack of some type of watchdog regulation, similar to what happens in China, our major trading partner, is the reason why its easy to ship jobs overseas. Those pillars of regulation were removed during the Reagan years and companies slipped out with our blessing. (tax breaks)

You fell for the smoke of a piece of ass too. Not unusual. A lot of brothers do. Kim K seems to have brothers in a spell on this board and that bitch is about a ditzy as Palin. I say if you look for a reason to distrust Obama's judgement, you'll find something. You compare some imaginary relationship with some white bitch to a man who offers some sound solutions and direction for the country then talk about how emotional we are?

You pulling the palin tampon string hard ain't you?

And don't give me that bullshit about women bashing playboy, you know where you are. This is BGOL and it's easy for us to compartmentalize a bitch so don't act like this is news how we might speak to an issue.

If you are turned off because we can talk shit about a woman, McCain Palin is where you need to be. They tend to attract people who are easy pray for a pretty face.

If your girl ever needs a rape kit, make sure she has a credit card or cash. Palin charges for that.

Black people turn you off because they support a candidate but white people never enter your imagination. Have you seen the Mega crowds that show up all around the world to see Obama?? Have you not seen these polls? You think Obama have those margins solely due to black people??? You dismiss all that and base your hate for Obama because a few soldiers on this board confront bullshit when it comes? What are you really afraid of playa besides worried about your Palin soft, fragile ego?

But there, you said it. Worried about how you'll look to white people. The civil rights struggle all boils down to wwwft. What Will White Folks Think? That's where this all comes from. :smh:

If you can't vote for Obama, then don't. This ain't Cuba. Not a black requirement.

You know damn well that bashing for the sake of bashing is not allowed and really doesn't occur on THIS BOARD. I swear Bro, you seem to have more than the usual a lil "Save-A-White-Girl" in you (given our history; and/or inherent sense of forgiveness and fairness, its understandable to have a bit). Truth is, ON THIS BOARD, damn near every one of accusations have been proven to be true -- by Sarah Palin, herdamnself !!!

(1) It is not now nor has it ever been unpopular to question any Obama policy, on THIS BOARD. Don't lie. If you need excuses, find another one.

(2) When you start preaching to white people about being emotionally invested in white people, I might then say you're on to something. In the meantime, however, stop with the bullshit.

For one, I do agree with the fact that you do need regulation towards shipping businesses elsewhere, however, it is unfair to OVER tax the companies, and expect them to produce more jobs. This is where I differ from Obama. Regulate the overseas bullshit, however, make it affordable to create jobs here. This is how you create growth.

With the last statement, I just do not want OUR first president to become a puppet. That is all..

Welcome to the dark side. Unfortunately (at least to me), it's going to be the losing side and I desperately fear for the health of the African-American community.

I think Obama is going to return us to a level near sharecropping (beholden to debt, fighting for wages, and neglected by the government).

1. about palin. As I see it, Palin really isn't the threat, but a rather good decoy. The cons are going to vote for McCain anyway, so whats the point of even trying to attack someone that's not running for president? What this tells me is the fact that Obama's campaign knew they fucked up with picking Biden. Thus, why Obama is allowing the media to do what they do.

2. I was always iffy on Obama. Honestly, I do not trust many democrats due to how Clinton was. Clinton was good for the time he was in office, however, after he left, shit hit the fan. Sadly, it wouldn't matter who got in office in 2000. Back to the subject, I see Obama's rise is due to the fact that Bush got close to 13 percent of the Black vote during 2004. That shit scared the fuck out of Howard Dean in company. I mean, why all of a sudden the democrats promote a black man so quickly?

3. Dude you cannot, with a straight face, tell me that there's not any irrational people on this board, that would follow anything Obama say? Think about this, how many threads, on the main board, actually have something positive about McCain? I've been the main person saying "not ever republican is bad, just like not every democrat is good", however, you barely see anything objective on this board. With that being said, look at the posts in this thread alone. People are pissed because I'm not following the mantra everyone else is. Yet, I'm the brainwashed one. I do give the people on here credit for knowing a little bit more than people in the outside world do. That's about it.

4.BTW, I'm actually having a good day.

5. My point about black people being emotional invested in Obama do not have anything to do with white folks. Why not we be the better group of people? Why must we have to point out what other races do to justify our actions? Thats very childish argument dude.

6. Talking about overemotional people is banned from this forum? Talking about free speech....

7. Let me get you straight about this puppet thing. For one, every politician has to listen to the American people. The part that bothers me is if Obama can do what he feels is right, even if its against public opinion. From what I hear, he moves around every time it seems uncomfortable. Not saying McCain doesn't do that either. However, the question should be, who does it more?

8. My well rounded reason is due to his economics. I'm just not buying it. That's the only true reason. Everything else is cool with me.

Just can't bring yourself to vote for Obama huh??

Even after eight years of the WORST President in America's history.

You say we are "overemotional Black people".

You're saying that we lack the deductive reasoning ability and analytical mental ability that the good White folks of this country have.

Is that right Mr Ass??

Not saying McCain doesn't do that either. However, the question should be, who does it more?
Blah, blah, fucking blah. Facts; not more of your unsupported, unsubtantiated opinion.

That is the most feminine thing I have ever heard a man say and still be a man. How much a man moves around when he's thinking. :smh::smh:

Yeah, whites don't approve so it's best to make it public while you can.

Not to add fuel to the fire, I too have no intention of voting for Obama...

...but I also have no intention of voting for McCain either.

And so we are all clear; you are not compelled to vote for Obama, even if you're Black. Although I strongly urge every one to exercise the franchise (and I note that it is implicit in your remarks that you will), I simply hope that Black people who plan not to vote for Obama, not do so because of the reasons given by actinanass.

I already have someone I plan to vote for via write-in for president. If for whatever reason I am not permitted to do that, I will just skip the presidential candidates altogether and vote on the remaining ballot items.

Re: I can't vote for him

To the OP:

So the point of your post is to justify to others why you choose not to support Obama?

If so, then this post is completely pointless because your vote is yours and yours alone. It does not require mass approval as it is ultimately a personal decision. A decision that you should not allow to be swayed by the media or the choices of others, but by facts and what you deem to be important to you and the future of those you care about.

Pointing to anything else just means you have chosen sides and are just trying to push your agenda and I have seen that from both sides.

If you chose not to vote for Obama that is your right, but to make an announcement on a board that you clearly see is pro-Obama can be deduced to nothing more than attention whoring.

On point.

Thanks for the contribution to the thread...such as it was. :hmm:

Re: I can't vote for him

I did post this because of two reasons.

I was hoping that someone can clear up what Obama actually stands with his economics. *thanx Vegas*

And to prove how this would ruffle some people feathers if you speak anything negative about Obama. *looking 20+ posts in a span of 7 hours, I proved my point*.

Re: I can't vote for him

The reason why the moderator emphasized THIS BOARD is because it's not run the same as the main board. THIS BOARD = Politics and Topics of the day.

On your point though, are you saying it would be better that you vote for McCain Palin because of Clinton, Obama, democratic party methods..what?

Actually I want objectivity on the most part. It bothers me that the media wants Obama to win so much. I know I'm not the only one thinking this.

Re: I can't vote for him

You should just change your name from "Actinanass" to "ActinaDUMBass" for making this post.

Maybe this thread should be called "Blacks who are too scared to vote".

I have a cousin who won't vote saying he thinks that voting Obama will contribute to getting him assassinated.

I'm watching one of Obama speeches on youtube and my cuz asks in a surprised manner "You're actually gonna vote for him?"

Re: I can't vote for him

How do you just come up with this stuff ???

Are you saying that a Black man cannot have ambition?

Are you saying that a Black man must always be taken
by the hand and led into something by white folk ???

Bro, I swear, if you told that to my young son, I'd have him
slap taste out of your mouth; and then I'd shoot you if you
as much as looked at him funny for doing it.

Got Damn man. "Is" you serious ???

Most of us are past objectivity bruh. We are now in the general election cycle. 40 plus days out of election day. You talk like the country has been waiting for you to finally get done with your objectivity. We've been forming opinions about Barack for almost a year.

And look, Obama took his knocks in the press and between foxnews and cnn's Lou "I hate all minorities" Dobbs, Obama continues to get his share of abuse so no, you ain't the only one who think as you do.

The balance of America has already made their decision about Barack but you haven't. All I can say is you walk too slow.

Re: I can't vote for him

Everyone has the right to vote for whomever they say best fit to represent them and if McCain does that for you could you point out some of the reasons behind what you feel?

I'm still waiting for that dissertation my damn self n1pd. So far, it's why Obama ain't the one complete with details, somewhat.

I already voted for Obama in early voting in the Atlanta area on Monday. The line was around the corner and out the door and I can pretty well assume that there were very little or no McBush or write-in voters in line!

Re: I can't vote for him

"actinanass" - I see you aptly named yourself. At least you know your limitations. :hmm:

Re: I can't vote for him

I know I'm in the minority *which I really don't give a fuck about*, and I know that certain people will feel that I'm "confused" due to what I say...
