I don’t know who you read, but I knew a year ago that this was going to be the conclusion. Disney has it written in the state constitution. The governor knows this. Unless Florida wants to incur $billions in expenses, just make your proclamations and keep it pushing. But because it’s all theatrics he had to go and sign legislation. That notwithstanding, I don't believe that G.W. Bush was anywhere near as dumb as people try to claim he was. Letting someone else run things doesn't inherently mean you are stupid. I know we just sat through a Trump presidency that said otherwise, but that doesn't make it the rule.
The thing I always go back to is that at one point, Cheney basically wanted to declare martial law. Possibly not in an official capacity, but he wanted to authorize the military to operate within the country, so everything but the official declaration. But he couldn't because G.W. felt like that was going too far and stopped it. So if anything, GWB was just smart enough to put the country's stability over a power grab. Well, in that one case, anyway.
Granted, he isn't a genius, but he's far from stupid.

It looks like the 2020 plan was adopted as the 2032 plan during the May 25, 2022 Reedy Creek meeting, according to agenda item 6-I of the meeting minutes.
So there are a couple of interpretations of today’s land use resolution:
