UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on November 20, 2010 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in the Detroit suburb of Auburn Hills, Michigan.[1] This will be the first UFC event in the Metro Detroit area since UFC 9.

i got that brock feeling on this one with rampage. its like he only got one game plan and if that don't work machida is gone pick him apart and its back to movies and i got hughes by submission

Yeah - when Machida was doin' his thing in recent years and makin' cats look stupid ... he was doin' so against guys with better ALL-AROUND games than Rampage. I just don't see Rampage chargin' across, engagin', and takin' Machida out with a big shot or two. Lyoto isn't Marvin Eastman or Chuck Liddell ... he's elusive :eek::D

'Page is done fighting IMO....he doesn't seem to have the passion to fight anymore....and he has become way too one dimensional as a fighter....he rather box now from the outside...and Machida is faster and elusive....

Davis By UD or Sub his standup is ass but he is a NCAA DIV 1 national Champion and he has won a few submission grapping tournaments.
G-Sot VS J-lau Can't call this one, they are both wizards on the ground, but Gsot has the advantage, in the standup but Jlau stays in your face and applies pressure. This is the fight to watch!!!!!!!!!!!

True - I have a feeling it will be like the MACHIDA/ORTIZ fight from a few years back.

Rampage just doesn't have the quickness/kicks/movement like RUA does (as exemplified earlier this year when he took Machida out). Shogun moves well and switches up his attack ... Rampage has a puncher's chance.

Fam, Rampage's resume trumps Machida's. No, Rampage isn't the fighter he once was, but I think Rua exposed Machida as not being the fighter we thought he was.

I always felt Pride fighters were superior to UFC fighters. The best Rampage to me was the Rampage that fought and almost beat Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva on the same night. Now that was the Rampage I liked.

Many Pride fighters who came to the UFC has dominated in some way from Anderson Silva, Rampage, Shogun, etc.

Machida is going to stick and move. Best luck for Rampage is to either wrestle him down and knock him out, or hit him cause one of Machida's weakness is that he does not have a really good chin so he can get KO'd.

The UFC Rampage = older, more battle-worn than Pride Rampage. Time happens to all fighters, fam. But you're talking like Rampage is Houston Alexander. He has more than just a puncher's chance against Machida... although I do think Machida will win in a snooze-fest, by UD.

lol @ no one giving Rampage a chance. Fuck it, I know it won't be easy, and I'm also a fan of Machida, but I hope Rampage wins just because. With his records against tough opponents (yeah he's not in his prime anymore, but let's not act like he has been beaten by tomato cans as of late either), but a weakness in Machida's armor has been discovered as well.

Rampage ain't got shit on Houston. Alexander's the truth, and has been The Man for years. I have a feeling though that I just might eat my words. I think Rampage is gonna work his all-around game ... go for the single- or double-leg takedown ... work the ground and pound and get side or mull mount, possibly go for a submission ... but then when it gets back to the feet he'll work the jabs, uppercuts, combos, spinning back kicks & fists, and such. Rampage is gonna embarass Machida out there and put on a highlight reel performance like the multi-faceted motivated cat that he is.

but like its been noted - Rampage doesnt fight like he is hungry anymore like Pride days

If the same Rampage shows up that fought Evans than it's going to be a long night for him. And I honestly think Hughes beats Penn in their 3rd fight. Hughes has just looked like a new man and I think Penn doesn't know how to feel after dropping back to back fights at LW. Should be a great card I think and interesting set-ups for future fights.

I dunno about Lauzon/Sotoropolous...they're both, basically, the same guy...Lauzon is more wild, though...and he has worse stand up...but a younger Jens Pulver has better stand-up than George...and we all know what happened there.

From the little I've seen of Davis and Boesch....Davis will grapplefukk him but Boetsch has a puncher's chance.

Anybody here seen Gerald Harris' opponent fight before? On MMA Live I think they said he's a Chute Boxe guy so...I imagine he's wild with the striking and has no takedown defense.

All these fights are interesting tonight....GOTTA COP THIS ONE:yes:

Munoz and Aaron Simpson fighting in a few moments....I forgot about that...that's a toss-up...Simpson has better hands but Munoz has better ground and pound, from what I've seen. Wrestling is about equal.

Rampage will be Machida's most powerful opponent yet. He has not fought anybody with Quinton's power. Machida will be Rampage's most awkward fighter. Rashad lost cause he was too cocky.

I used to think Karate was a joke. I felt wrestling was number one, but I respect all disciplines now. I you know how to use Karate the way Machida does, you can be very dangerous.

Grappling such as Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu were the most dominant styles. Karate was not that impressive to me in the early UFC days, but Machida changed that. Quinton better bring his A game.

Rampage better avoid his kicks as best he can.

Why the fuck does Dana White show up in a tight ass shirt with a fuckin gut when muthfuckas around him are in the best shape of there lives.

although rampage vs. machida might be a let down,
this card is stacked with great fights.
this looks like the best ufc pay per view of the year.
