Official NBA 2017-2018 Thread - Final day of the regular with playoff seating still unknown

So good brother, what is your honest grade for the Cavs in that trade, AND do you think they will be able to 'flip the switch' this season?
Same grade i gave it when it went down. F

Its not a matter of flipping the switch. They can still win the east. The question is can this current roster give a respectable showing against the Warriors or Rockets. Answer is a resounding "Hell No".

Translated, Fuck all these bitches, including the damn coach!!! LMAO!!
He said he cant be concerned about peoples job security...

Lue brought this on himself when he was talking that "Agenda" shit. I dont know if he was talking bout Bron or not but he dam sure shoulda made it clear he was NOT.

Word!! I could see LeBron when he read those comments being like 'Motherfucker you know who I am?!?!?!?'

Houston really really really want to beat the warriors and they play like it every time they play warriors don't match their intensity, haven't at any point this season when they've played great win for houston they keep trying to make a statement and the warriors keep just going through the motions

Yeah. Houston fells are playing like they have something to prove.

I want to see these two teams match up (healthy) in the playoffs.

Coaching lost this game. I get it, Kerr allows them to play free but I wish he would step in at times to right the ship.

Jacking up wild shots during the last few mins is what cost them thus game. Passing up on an easy dunk layup for Durant just to pass it to klay on a transition three on a break. Wild passes and just dump wreck less shots.

On one end you can’t complain to much because they win a lot of games. But the Warriors wreckless aggression cost them this game

Warriors cant beat the Rockets if cp3 and Harden outplay Steph and Klay like this. This is prolly the worst combined I seen them play. Rockets outrebounded them and outdefended them down the stretch. Win the season series 2-1.

and the game was still close

Where the CP3 haters tonite??

I always thought he was great, just like I think he's a bitch...at least on the court :dunno:

He had 20 assists because he had his son guarding him and Cavs had to help on every fucking play. Russ just passed to the open guy.

BGOL told me Cavs got the better of that trade tho.

They did?

Me too.
Great win for the rockets
They played great and also we just weren't intense enough to really do the thing half assed it in the 1st half and 4th quarter didn't run the offense what have I said for 4 years straight now? Lol.

Rockets beat us to almost all the 50\50 balls and they were standing watching like I said kudos to them.

Props to harden for hitting that tough step back 3 in curry face

Props to Chris Paul for getting ripped like he was in the rec league and starting a fast break in the clutch

Yea we

disagree on this fam
Harden is better than Klay offensively and creating shots for others. defensively klay washes him
Curry is just better than Paul.

I could just as easily say Paul washes Curry defensively and as a passer. One guy rarely turns the ball over the other is very loose with the ball. Klay will never be an MVP candidate like Harden, and has role is reduced. The Rockets backcourt is better and has played better this year. Golden State needs to rely on KD when they play cuz thats where the advantage lies.

If that's how you really feel? It's all good.

Also go check the stats. The Rockets back court has not played better than the warriors and both back courts have been missing their best player harden has been injured and curry has been injured too.

Harden missed some time but is an MVP frontrunner. Paul has been outstanding this year. Steph has been outstanding. Klay has played well but he isnt carrying the same load. KD and Steph are their duo now.

he's on pace for 50/40/90 that's more than just well.

hopefully they meet in the playoffs and can settle it.

Nigga saw the handwriting on the wall and left..

Sources: Kevin Love takes heat from Cavs over illness, absence
10:38 PM ET

The Cleveland Cavaliers held a fiery team meeting in the practice facility locker room prior to Monday's practice, during which several players challenged the legitimacy of Kevin Love's illness that led him to leave Saturday's loss to Oklahoma City early and miss Sunday's practice, league sources told ESPN.

Several players were pushing for the Cavaliers' management and coaching staff to hold Love accountable for leaving the arena before the end of Saturday's game, and then missing Sunday's practice, league sources told ESPN.

The meeting was loud and intense, only calming down once Love spoke to those gathered in the room and explained himself, league sources said.

  • Sources: Cavs working to trade for Kings guard George Hill

The Cleveland Cavaliers are progressing in conversations on a deal to acquire Sacramento Kings guard George Hill, league sources told ESPN.

The Cavaliers and Kings are discussing a package centered on guard Iman Shumpert and forward Channing Frye, league sources said. The teams are discussing a second-round pick, too, sources said.

No trade is imminent, but the two teams have moved closer on terms and both are motivated to find a final pathway to a deal, league sources said.

Hill has been unhappy with his role with the Kings, whom he signed with last summer after turning down a more lucrative extension offer with the Utah Jazz. The Kings are determined to accommodate Hill's desire for a trade, and his ability to guard both positions in the backcourt could help the struggling Cavaliers' defense.

Sacramento has to clear a roster spot to take on one or two additional players in a deal with Cleveland and has been discussing deals for young forwards Malachi Richardson and Skal Labissiere to clear roster spots, league sources said.

The Cavaliers have had some hesitancy about the guaranteed $19 million remaining on Hill's contract in the 2018-19 season, league sources said, especially if LeBron James leaves in free agency and the Cavaliers move toward a rebuild. Only $1 million of the $18 million on his 2019-20 contract is guaranteed, making it easy to waive Hill.

Frye would be eager to negotiate a buyout with the Kings on his $7.4 million expiring contract, league sources said.
