he shot the ball like shit tonight. I was talking about the series. He didnt shoot particular well over the series...but it wasnt like his man was taking him out to the shack and driving at will defensively... he definitely didnt play great ball at all over the course of the series... but i was talking about defensively..i dont think the bleeding was because of great PG play by the Mavs where the PG was just getting into the lane at will.. the mavs just had incredible ball movement and also caught the lakers cheating and late to rotate..( and the mavs have to get credit for just hitting the shots as well)
He's right....
It's called muscle memory. I got addicted to the snap sound of the net on a swish. (without my contacts or with just one contact... lol) vision is of the beholder. An unmoving target is always locked in.i know exactly what he's talking about, because i used to practice without my contacts in.
interesting post-game comments about team chemistry in this vid

plus he did this
why is the barry boy so suprised about this blowout loss in a closeout game?
does he not remember the celtics blowing the fakers out by 39?
does he not remember the suns blowing the fakers out by 31?
so today's blowout loss to the mavericks by 36 is supposed to be a shock?
some leaders inspire QUITTING.
that is what I kept saying the series was over... Lakers dont have a good reputation in situations like this.. they just fold...

in other threads you've repeatedly asked for signature playoff games.
but the problem is that there are already several signature playoff games to choose from and you're overlooking them.
THESE ARE the signature playoff games.

Booooo.....
lakers were unprepared for this series. they thought they'd just cross any obstacle that presented itself like they had in the past. Dallas was playing with purpose of changing history. what was Lakers purpose????? it wasn't destiny. Jerry West is the Lakers destiny.
Booooo.....
lakers were unprepared for this series. .
Now it sounds like you are blaming Phil, cause if you say they were not prepared that usually falls on the coach...Booooo.....

I been saying it's Phil's fault this whole thread. Phil knows this too. but it's like chess...... win 11 and lose 3..... who cares about the losses??? Phil coached this year outta habit. Now it sounds like you are blaming Phil, cause if you say they were not prepared that usually falls on the coach...
So you think this was a coaching problem?
I would be willing to bet anything all Phil did was stress how they had to force the mavs off the 3 point line, close out on shooters, and rotate. That was so obvious that I just cant buy that they werent prepared.
Man..look at how many threes the Mavs had where the shooter was completely unchallenged.. i cant even count how many times I saw Shannon Brown sleeping in the paint and then terry run out and spot up for three... never even attempting to chase him down.. just take a look at the highlights..that is effort..
I am officially retired from basketball.![]()
I've rolled with Kobe from the day he came into the league, up until today. I'm not even mad, 'cause it's just clear that the Lakers were no longer hungry. I blame the 2004 loss against Detroit on Kobe sabotaging the team, but this wasn't intentional sabotage. The Lakers have been to the Finals the last three years, and it showed today. What big contracts do to some players passion for the game, winning did to the Lakers.
In any case, I had plenty of frustrating and fun times arguing with you dudes - but after 15 years of rolling with Kobe, I have no interest in continuing to watch, because while I think he does have a few more years, at best, of above average basketball left in him, he is definitely on the down side of his career. My interest in basketball has waned considerably since I realized I wasn't going pro -![]()

- and now seems as good of a time as any to call it quits.
I'm O-U-T.
PS: Congrats to Dallas fans.
Good run for LA but a few moves, especially the Artest vs. Ariza move really did them in... They need a point guard, a real small forward, and they need to abandon this twin towers set and come with a more conventional line up. I believe a changing of the guard is in order, no matter what the Lakers or the Spurs do in terms of moves.
After this years NCAA tournament, I am no longer surprised at what happens... especially this year.
This is one of the best playoffs in years though... and Big Ups to the younger players and the up and coming coaches (Hollins, Dude in Chicago, etc.), once we get through this CBA shit, the league is in good hands.. Congrats Dallas...![]()
How does Kobe stack up to MJ now? It was fucking foolish to even think dude was better than MJ....![]()
You're right. No argument from me. I guess this is what it feels like to be a Eagles fan.
We have a long way to go.
Even in a Lakers getting swept thread, the Eagles still lose![]()
It's time for Derek Fisher to hang em up. Is he a first ballot hall of famer though ?
