**Official Football (Soccer) Thread"

you are right about rooney and welbeck and thats the only reason why welback played cause he also defend.

but as for the rest you wrong, well let me say its your opinion. cause like i keep saying the best defense in this sport is offense. a team like real is always going to score a goal so playing like that yeah it will work for a while but it wont work for 90min. man u should have go for the win or at least score a goal before the started playing like that.

you could see when rooney enter the game the game suddenly changed. (there is a difference in playing home or away)they were more dangerous. playing like that is a no-no ask barca what happened last year against chelsea. although barca was dominating the game they couldnt score and a team like chelsea always scores one goal. and that fucked barca up at the end.

thats football tho the better team dont always win.

Up until 56 mins, Madrid weren't doing anything on our goal. That trend could've continued for two days, and they wouldn't have scored. There was zero threat. Madrid were completely subdued.

It wasn't until that red that the entire dynamic shifted. Shifting Ozil to the right, allowed Modric to dictate, and it was game, set, and match. There wasn't a LM (Nani) to occupy that space.

And of course when Wazza came on we we're going to look dangerous. We were chasing two goals, and had no choice but to press on. To suggest we keep that up for 90 mins is amateur mate. Especially when you have not 1, but 2 goals in hand.

This match wasn't left to the players on the pitch, and no football contest, especially one as big as this, should finish that way.

One gone,:lol: Barca come get yours.
I am a(Proud) Gunner, and I approve this message :lol:

I know we aren't going anywhere and I have accepted and resigned to that fate. :D:D

nah bigbro trust me real would have scored a goal. thats how real plays a team, like real you have to watch the full 90min. im not saying that they would have won im just saying they would have scored and the game would have been different.

you say that they didnt have a chance. they did although it wasnt big it was also of not paying attention. the same way ronldo scored his goal, they could have scored 2 goals like that if they paid attention. remember the ball higauin passed and nobody did nothing. i forgot who passed the second one. and also lets not forget man u was the better team yeah but they missed al their chances as well. welbeck isnt sharp as rooney and you know that in football if you dont score the other team will. no matter how good you play.

Gabrielle Marcotti, as well as a majority of revered football writers on the planet agree.

"Mourinho said the “better team lost”. And, in fact, many of the limits of the current Real Madrid side were laid bare by United. It's not just the dependence on Alonso (who, incidentally, wasn't fully fit). It's the fact that when Ronaldo has a quiet half -- as he did in the first 45 minutes -- Real pose little threat. And when you've had so many quality players playing together for so long that's simply not good enough.

Against most opponents, Ronaldo can kick it up a notch and paper over most cracks. And when teams go out and attack Real, they can be devastating on the counterattack. But against sides of the caliber of Manchester United, that's not enough. Not unless an opponent gets sent off with more than half an hour to go."

It's all good though. I've come to terms with the injustice.

We move forward.

Yeah i understand ya point. And i never said real was playing better. Hell in madrid man u was playing good too. My point is real will always score a goal. And ofcourse what the ref did was bullshit. Im not even a real supporter. Similar shit happened few Years ago with CL finals between ars vs barca. That was bull too

Messi is a football god... 40 La Liga goals... 17 games in a row with at least 1 goal. The man comes on as a sub with 30 mins left to keep his streak going and he gets it done with style. Simply amazing.

He better show up against Milan.

Hard to get excited about beating last place Depor. That flick was sick though, and it's nice not to give up a goal.

Thats what i was about to type ac is different than depo tho. A lot of teams have figured barca out so i will be hard. But like i said leading with 2 goals against barca is like leading with 1. Specially when u go play there.

I expect them to use the same strategy as Chelsea and hold on for dear life and counterattack whenever they get a chance.

Wasted chances by Milan covered up a lot of Barca's cracks in defense. Pinolero, I didn't know Sneijder was out there either, nor Eboue until today. It'd be pretty cool to see them all go deep in these playoffs.

Yeah, their defense is still dripping with wack juice. It's nice to see them press like they did in the Guardiola era though. Forgot about Sneijder as well.

yep ac played like bitches. they played like man u played against real Madrid. only man u did it better. you could see when the turn on the pressure barca kinda had trouble. but then again milan didnt have a striker that really hurt them. pazzini was injured and because of that that stupid rule balloteli couldnt play.rule
I didn't even realize Drogba played for Galatasaray.
yeah he said china was boring. he left like 8mil a year on the table there.
Keone was right.:yes::yes::yes:

:lol::lol: yep :lol::lol:

messi did his thang tho

Arsenal almost did it!

Saw this on the soccernet chat, it's so true:

"Robben's going to get shipped out of Bavaria the second Guardiola gets there. There's no room for a player like him in a Pep team."

thats the problem with robben. if he is fits nobody cant stop him and then you want a player like him on your team. but if he is not just as today you see what happens. not to mention he is greedy as fuck. but like i said when he is fit and everything works nobody is complaining.

porto messed me up man. although malaga deserved a red card too. i really thought the would do well IN cL man.

as for arsenal now wenger punkass will think about it and start buying quality players.

Is it true the ref took away a legit goal by Saviola?

Also, Cazorla leaves Malaga gets eliminated with Arsenal, and Malaga advances.

I don't care for him either way. I'd rather have a great team, than this selfish ass dude. He clearly plays for his-self. :smh:

And yes, there's no way he's going to make Guardiola's XI.

crazy isnt it.

bayer - juv:dance:

zlatan idiot no zlatans revenge for him

Good god, who's the horrible commentator(not the English guy)?

Taylor Twellman. :smh: He's Maryland Alumn so I keep giving him a pass, but no more. He needs to get away from a microphone during matches cause he's absolutely horrid. He, Alexi Lalas, and Gus Johnson can all disappear for all I care.

I felt for Ian Darke having to put up with that clown last night. :smh:

Before this wk's league action talk begins....I just want to mention how BAD the Jamaica Nation Team is.

I have given up on anything imaginable hope for them to make the World Cup. The midfield can't keep possession, the strikers don't know what their doing or when they should take the shot and not take another couple touches....the only bright spot is Ricketts (the keepers).

Team is just poor.
