**Official Football (Soccer) Thread"

Guess Heynckes really didn't need Guardiola's advice on how to beat Barca.

I dunno about over turning this one in the Camp Nou.

Well that's one less thing to worry about.:smh::smh::smh:
yep :smh:
Yeah, it does seem like the lineup was all wrong. Guess they really are dependent on him, injured or not.
But its not like we don't have quality players outside of him that can get it done. Anyway I didn't have my hopes up, even if they make it to the final I don't see them beating Madrid.

Sadly, I got Madrid as the team to beat

DJ I am late on this but it was a good season. Although we (like I play for the team or something) went to shit after the heartbreaking/terrible Red Card in Madrid. Here is for the repeat next year!

Now it will really be interesting to see what happens in the transfer window. I am curious if they are really going to let Rooney play in the midfield or what. I mean he is our best striker and cmf is not his best position as much as I like him.

I also have to think that we are getting rid of Nani. Just too hot cold and probably Anderson as well just too injury prone. It sucks because I like these cats but always look for adding new blood into the squad.

Well it looks like an all german wembley final . I cannot see real scoring 4 plus goala against dortmund eapecially with that brick wall midfield and defence . In a way klopp is the only manager i know that can realistically beat bayern.

First Barca and now Madrid. They were well and truly outplayed by Dortmund.

Definately looks like a all German final.

I'm banking on Falcao or Lewandowski at this stage. Either way, it can only help. We need a proven striker in Europe cause we're a right mess in that competition.

I don't know if he's better than RVP, or even Kagawa at this point. He WAS a decent striker at one point, but he loses the ball way too much in important areas for my liking. Personally, i'd like to see him drop into central midfield, where he can have a little more time on the ball to do his thing.

We'll probably offload one of the 2, if not both, to finance a big money move.

Premier League Team of the Year: David de Gea (Manchester United), Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City), Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham Hotspur), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Leighton Baines (Everton), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Juan Mata (Chelsea), Gareth Bale (Tottenham Hotspur), Luis Suarez (Liverpool), Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Robin van Persie (Manchester United).

Happy DDG got on there. A lot of people were talking shit about him but real recognize real.

I said it the day United exited the tournament, that Madrid should've been bounced at Old Trafford.

Dortmund further confirmed that notion that Madrid simply don't have what it takes to raise the CL.

No hate for Bayern here, thoroughly outplayed Barca. I hope Dortmund wins though. Madrid getting eliminated certainly takes the sting off though.

In this other thread I go to some Serie A fan was talking mad shit about the Bundesliga, lol at him.

Lol at posters coming out the woodwork when Barca loses.

Djcandle u see what I'm talking about what a fit robben does.

Man listen.. that's just shit defending. That's all that was.

I was fuming at that goal for real, cause there isn't a person on planet earth (except for Adriano it seems) that doesn't know what Robben is going to do when he's marauding down that flank.

Dribble, dribble, dribble, cut onto his left, far post shot.

That's as certain as the sun coming up!

Why on earth would you allow him to do that?!??! For all that money they make, nobody watched any tape on dude??

Not that it really mattered, but that entire Barca first team had every right to look at Adriano like this:

I get what ur saying but its not only adriano. And I wasn't really talking bout the goal but his game in general. U see how hard he was working? Defending and attacking. One of the best players on the field. A fit robben is a beast. Also he scored 2times in semifinale.

Mario Goetze > Arjen Robben

Robben did alright defensively against a Barcelona team that isn't used to chasing. He was more or less the release valve in tonight's match, and got the favorable 1v1 against Adriano.

He was clearly given free reign to attack on all costs, and with a disjointed Barca backline, he was always going to shine.

On the contrary, Mario Goetze's pressure against Madrid was much greater on the defensive side, and offensively he was chased down by Xabi Alonso (arguably one of the game's best defensive midfielders) for the entirety of the match. Goetze was still able to complete passes.

I wish I had the heat maps of both matches, cause i'm certain Goetze would've ate Robben for breakfast on both sides of the ball. I'm praying his hammy holds up, and will turn up at Wembley for the final.

Either way, we'll see if Guardiola shares your sentiment next year.

haha gotze is a good player he still on the come up tho. robben is there already. and yeah xabi is good but he isnt fast enough thats why gotze hell the whole dortmund got him. you could see when khedira came in for xabi the game changed. gotze is the future tho. but i dont see gotze dribbling pass 1 2 3 men like robben. and gotze aint gonna do shit to robben hell robben scored the only goal when they played against each other this season. but i agree robben is getting old and gotze is the future but robben in his prime is better than gotze in his prime. also gotze plays at a different position so his role is different too. reus is that nigga too. i dont really like lewo tho he is a good striker but needs too many chances

i wish gotze will be fit for the final tho

When's the last time David Luiz has scored an average goal? He should always play defensive midfield.

problem with luizz is he to wild when he plays midfield. last week he almost broke somebody's leg. he shouldnt even be allowed to play today. now he can play ball if he gets control and focus more he will be a problem
