@@@Official Cavs thread 2014-2015@@@

Most good teams play down to the level of weaker teams, especially on a front end to a back to back and the 2nd game being a big one..
The big difference is the Cavs are starting to win these types of games, and unlike the start of the season, they no longer hold their heads low once things don't break their way, early in ball games.
Also they are starting to identify the hot hand and ride it, as opposed to trying to force shit..

Madison Square Garden is like Castle Grayskull. It amplifies your powers 10 fold when you walk through the door. Opposing players have big (sometimes career) nights on a regular basis there.

Knicks players however have built up an immunity to the power boost.

37 pts and 2 assist lmaooo

Struggle win

He did what he had to do bruh... wasn't nobody hitting shit so, u gonna have nights like this! I'd bitch too but he was 12-18 from the field, that's a helluva Night, 18 shots to get 37 points, AND hit the game winner per se. Uncle Drew played his ass off tonight...

Cavs Fixed Issues Moving LeBron To PG Duties, Irving Off Ball
Dec 05, 2014 11:20 AM EST

During the early part of the season, Kyrie Irving was maligned for his low assist totals amidst the Cleveland Cavaliers' struggles on offense.

The Cavaliers have changed their system over the past month since their loss at Utah Jazz in which Irving had no assists.

"He was playing off the ball. This is where the Cavs have made incredible strides over the last month. Since that Utah game, LeBron (James) has taken over basically as the point guard and Kyrie has allowed him to do it.

"(Against the Knicks) you saw LeBron running the show and Kyrie being the No. 2. The difference was LeBron was setting people up. The team had 19 assists. LeBron had 12 of them, six of those assists went to Kyrie. He puts up 37 points on a night where LeBron isn't going great offensive and his assists didn't matter as much because the team was operating differently.

"Because he's giving less energy on the offensive end, Kyrie is expending that energy on the defensive end playing some of the best defense of his career."

David Blatt has also left Irving on the floor at the beginning of the second and fourth quarters during James' time on the bench.

They had sum solid numbers tonight

23 L. James 42 9/18 7 13 2 24
0 K. Love 40 5/13 13 0 1 15
2 K. Irving 38 7/16 4 6 1 15
31 S. Marion 30 4/6 4 1 1 9
17 A. Varejao 17 4/7 4 2 4 9

I still don't like Kyrie averaging fewer assists than Kobe..... But one problem at a fucking time....

Blatt showing that coaching mojo!!! Good to seek him flowing, especially with all the 'he should be fired' jumping the gun Dudes after less than 25% of the season had been played! Dude made a bold move and obviously knows what he's doing... :bravo:

Difference is, he's not taking as many shots as Kobe either though. With the offense flowing through LeBron now, he will be set up to score more than pass. That extra pass some times can be one pass too many... He's been playing very efficiently lately...

Yea that's the thing one at a fucking time...

I got a feel waiters might get shipped tho, I think once everybody gell, he'll be straight

Man, that shit looked bad. This win streak did save his job, because if this were 1-5......blatt would be gone....

They have to work on Waiters, but dealing with a shot-first pg and a generous player like Lebron had to be done sooner than later.

But Kyrie still misses on assist opportunities. Think about how quick he breaks the defense down.

Let me stop being greedy...one problem at a time...

He still needs to learn not to question Blatt in the open like he did yesterday against the Knicks.

The Cavs are finally learning how to play ball, especially on team defense.. The only thing next is they have to learn how to dominate and psychologically destroy other teams but at least the seed has been casted and from here on, all they have to do is stick to the script, with everybody staying in their lanes..

What Kyle and even LeBron has to keep doing, is taking what the defense is giving them, because right now most teams are playing the big three very aggressively with their rotations and traps, this is leaving plenty of opportunities for both Andy and Tristan.. What LeBron and Irving must do is keep reading the defense and feed the big guys once they get open, this is the big key to wining right now..

No it isnt

The issue with the Cavs has been effort....when they have shown effort they have been good...when they play half assed they get worked over like a conga drum
