The Heat are the team they are usually compared to when the argument of having patience is used.

They're ranked 9th. Move them up to 5th in the league and the record won't change much. And this squad is not a #1 in the league type of offensive unit. Playing at their peak offensively is not the solution...because this team simply doesn't have the shooters to just go out every night and run people off the court.
The real problem with the squad is that they dont have the personnel to get stops.
It's not different than in ANY SPORT... with professionals, below average defenses can make average players look good. Thus you get muthafuckas like Lou Williams scoring career highs.

You would have thought Lebron would have learned this shit from that ass whooping he took from the Spurs when he couldn't get Chalmers or Wade to get stops on the perimeter. This current Cavs squad is even worse. At least with Wade it's just physical issue...his body couldn't hold up... but Kyrie and Love are two of the worst defensive players (by position) in the league. I posted the stats before this season started to illustrate this.

How many points do they score in their wins(118)? How is the ball movement when they win? When they win, defense still sucks(107).
Now, how many points to they score in their loses(90)? How is the ball movement when they lose? When they lose, defense still sucks(99).
This team definitely needs to work on defense, but they also need to find their way offensively. They are too quick to resort to dribbling and forced shot when they don't have to.

My argument is this. Even with an improved offense, this team is not built to win titles. This is not like when Lebron joined the Heat. At at that point, the big 3 were all two-way players and Lebron and Wade wrecked shop on both sides of the ball.
I don't think this team at it's best (even with the offense at its best) is a championship team. Teams don't win titles with shitty defenses man. And great offenses have long been not doing shit in the playoffs. I cant remember how many steve nash teams were scoring 120 a game and couldn't even get to the conference finals.
I just think this team is fundamentally flawed to the point that, even with their best efforts, they aren't ready to content unless Lebron is going to be going for triple doubles in the playoffs every night and locking down the other teams best player.
