Official BREAKING BAD Season 4 Discussion Thread 10p SUNDAYS

you knew breaking bad was going to be good because most of the people popped their cherries with the x-files.

it gets a little outlandish from time to time, but not as absurd as weeds. good TV though, and they are allowed to play loose with fact.

this season started off slow, but they've recovered well and have built up some good suspense.
 
I thought walter had poisoned that kid for a second

Ok so the kid didn't randomly take the cig this dude Gus is just pure evil that's all.

Also that scene with jesse and Gus once again proves Walt isn't a pussy when the shit hits the fan.... he's just a pussy leading up to the point where he can't squirm out of manning up.
 
This episode went by fast

After last week i was expecting something major, not saying that it was a let Down but not what i expected


Oh i noticed mike hasnt come back from mexico

I still believe he might help Walt kill gus

He has to make an appearance ,his a big character on the show

They cant just leave him in mexico and not ever mention him again

Gus ain't make it this far without being careful. But I don't believe he got that cigarette to the kid. He might not even have been poisoned at all. But now Gus realizes that Jesse thinks HE might have had something to do with it.

I think Gus goes down now next episode one way or another.

Who ever said walt was a pussy? No way you could watch from season 1 and think so, don't get shit confused because a dude might cry because he fears for his family's life.

Totally different situations that chick was blackmailing him. It ain't in Walt to use a kid like that, plus Walt didn't know that kid was or who he was to Jesse.

I do think he pushed Jesse into believing Gus had something to do with it.

I don't think Gus was the one who did it, it's probably going to torn out to be a big misunderstanding and the kid was the one who was going through Jesse's shit and took it, but by then its going to be too late.

agreed. I don't see Gus doing setting that up either. He's already knows how Jesse feels about hurting kids. It's either a misunderstanding or theirs a 3rd player in the mix here

Wouldn't he had people follow jessie to make sure if he really kill Walter

Co-sign Walt isn't a pussy he will get shit done but he's not a gangsta and thats where he's fucked up in the last season or two. When Walt steps outside who he is and tries to compete with Gus and individuals like his is when he loses.

When Walt stays in his lane, reacts and makes moves according to how shit comes hes ok.

No way Walt had the opportunity, means or mindset to poison that kid. He was busy trying to get his family safe and escape (he didn't know his money was gone at that point). He had no time to recover and think up that plan let alone carry it out.

If you notice this episode picks up right where it left off last week. I'm guessing that after the conversation with her sister Skyler arranged for them to go to Hank and her sisters house for protection. Walt never left the house.

Jessie said he had it on him when he left in the morning and had checked on it before leaving so the kid couldn't have just discovered it (that was my first thought though). It had to have been the brother who works in the lab with Jessie that got it off of him when he was in his work gear.
 
Didn't Jesse claim to find the cigarette that had the poison but I saw no evidence of that...he said he had it that morning but ehh...I think the blame lies squarely on Jesse OR maybe he's smarter than we're giving him credit for and he played Walter into helping him kill Gus...don't get me wrong...Jesse ain't poison the kid on purpose but after fuckin up I guess in some fucked up way he tried to make lemonade outta a lemon...after hearing from Saul how Gus took Walt out to the desert and threatened his fam...Jess was on that couch thinking about some shit...Idk this show is all over the place but in a good way...I can't predict what's next...ep was a bit of a letdown but obviously it's warming up to a major season finale...

guess we will see but the only other person who had a chance was the big black dude at Saul's who pat jesse down, but then again remember Walt said the poison would take a day or two to react.

i think the kid took it himself or gus or his henchmen did it. then again they they can twist the hell out of the story and make walter the big bad guy.

Interesting. When Gus was taken to the hospital and Jesse found out how Gus knew his blood type, allergies, and basically his whole life was meant to illustrate how Gus knew everything going on in their lives and that Walt was trying to poison him. Walt said it, Gus is 5 steps ahead of him.

BUT, this does not go on to explain the hospital parking lot scene. They're gonna have to shed some clarity on that one. Bit far-fetched. I can't imagine he'd know that Walt would be at the hospital nefariously planning something against him involving his Volvo wagon.

I think Gus figure it out that Jesse was trying to "pulled him" to the hospital. Mean if Gus is smart enough as this show is making him out to be, I think Jesse's "no, I'm not going anywhere... if he wants me to work, he can come tell me himself" routine would give it away. Just think about it... If Gus poisoned the kid to twist Jesse to kill Walt, then Gus would have known Jesse already confronted/talked to Walt at some point. He would have figured that there was a slight chance that Jesse didn't killed Walt and his loyalty has switched back... since Jesse told Gus that the kid was poisoned.


All I know, someone is going to die in next week's episode.

Ya the black dude is cool as fuck :lol: the ep before this 1 I don't think he said all but 1 word...I forgot what he said but he ain't even have to say that but he said some smart shit just to fuck w/ Walter :lol: as for Gus...I take it he was walking and contemplating the discussion he had w/ Jesse and then when he seen his car sitting there all by itself it just didn't feel right to him...maybe he did have something to do w/ the kid...cuz I'm now thinking how did the black guy know where Jesse was? And if he was following him the whole time then that mean he had to know Jess went to Walter house...I don't think that scene need clarification...I think Gus rightfully had a hunch that shit ain't feel right
