random musing but should I be concerned that wagerr is hustling t-shirts and caps in their slack? that shit just seems low grade to me...verge did that shit too o_O
As long as they are updating folks accordingly and meeting their stated goals (or letting people know when goals can't be reached and what is the new projected time table). I wouldn't worry about that right now. It may just mean they didn't meet their intended ICO goals or they are trying a cheap way to keep their name out in the public while they are still getting stuff together.

Am I a dumbass for keeping 1 mill verge? Time will tell

depends on your expectations...looking @ its history I just don't see it as a top 10 coin as an article alluded to...before the name change verge was dogecoin dark...that tells me a lot...I don't think the coin will ever flatline but looking @ it's history I see it as a coin that will only be used for pump and dumps...just my opinion...then again in 6 months shit might explode and I might be the "dumbass"...but seriously it all boils down to what you expect from the coin and just make sure you don't invest too much that you get burned from it...there was a point where I had about 25% of my profits in XVG...luckily I got out in time before I took a loss

Fingers crossed this thing sizzles. I think it's good enough to serve it's use purpose and comes with enough age to be taken seriously by this time next year if devs can get 8n front of the 8 ball on it

another word...cuz I know a couple of cats were curious about maidsafe and we were chopping it up...if when they release the final product...they intend to drop the 'maid' and be simply known as safecoin...they also will be trickling in a lot more coins...they say no more than 4.3 billion ultimately

https://maidsafe.net/safecoin.html

I was a little concerned about the number but everything I'm reading points to this project being "revolutionary" if they accomplish what it is they set out to...the belief is several coins will eventually rely on them for security...some are saying it could be the first coin to hit a market cap that surpasses a trillion...realistic estimates are $10-15...I'm not holding my breath w/ this one...I have 1k that I will def hold on to...deciding if I want to push it up to 10k...I'm not gonna lie FOMO is the only reason why I have this coin bcuz of the alex fortin prediction article...where he posted predictions about BTC ETH XRP FCT and MAID...so far his predictions have been all correct...MAID is the only one that hasn't matched his predictions "yet"

https://www.alexfortin.com/top-5-crypto-currencies-invest-2016/

his prediction for MAID is pretty out there...but fuck it...it's cheap enough right now that you can rack up a few w/o breaking the bank

I don't think it's low grade at all given who their intended audience is. It's not like they are trying to provide enterprise solutions. Stratis t-shirts and hats? :eek:Hell no.

But T-shirts, caps, and beer mugs are right up Wagerr's alley. Shit. I wouldn't care if they started taking out ads with bikini models in wagerr hats. Generate some buzz.

Why Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple Fell on June 15: The Correction Explained

By Nathan Reiff | June 19, 2017 — 10:07 AM EDT

Share

On June 15, 2017, the digital currency market underwent a significant market correction, with the value of a number of top currencies declining quickly and substantially. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple all dropped in value by 13-17% in a single day, with other currencies seeing even larger losses on a similar time scale. The drop in value coincided with an overall decline in market capitalization by around $16 billion. This came shortly after the cryptocurrency market had achieved a significant milestone by extending beyond $100 billion in market cap. What was behind the significant losses on June 15? And why might this matter for the long-term health of the blossoming industry?

Actually a Return to More Sustainable Levels?
In a report by Coin Telegraph, Andreas Antonopoulos, a Bitcoin expert, suggested that those questioning the sharp fall in price among cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin should also consider the recent price movements in the other direction. After several weeks of quick gains, during which Bitcoin achieved a record $3000 price per coin, Antonopoulos believes that the market correction is in fact just that: a movement toward a more sustainable price level after a period of too-rapid growth. In hindsight, he feels, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other currencies were gaining in value at levels that were outsized and unsustainable. Along with ICOs and increasing hype by the wider media, the risk of a cryptocurrency bubble was climbing. "We're returning to more sustainable price levels for all cryptos. In the process of reverting to the long term trendline, we will undershoot," Antonopoulos explained.

Big Fall After Big Gains
The fall on June 15 does seem to have countered weeks of unbelievable gains. Bitcoin climbed by nearly 200% since the beginning of the year, achieving an all-time high of $3018 just days before the fall to $2300. A market correction after a new all-time high is nothing new for Bitcoin. In fact, this is the pattern that the currency has seen each time it achieves a new record. However, the currency has always seemed to rebound to even higher peaks. This could be thanks to widespread media coverage, a rapidly growing base of users, and a general trend toward new interest among hedge funds and banks.

The question remains what will happen with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies in the near future. On one hand, if past trends continue, Bitcoin may be primed for new price heights. With a fierce battle raging over Bitcoin's future and the currencies ongoing problems with scaling, however, this may be a time when Ethereum or another currency finally catches up with the largest player in the growing field. Or, as some analysts have suggested, perhaps cryptocurrencies are indeed within a bubble, and it's only a matter of time before it bursts.

I was hoping the bubble did die it's fucking with my margins since they jacked the price up on graphics cards

Buy the platforms

yup :hellyea: I'm looking @ ubiq as a result of that...potentially these are your "next ehthereums" basically...I like omni too even tho it is expensive...a bit of a long shot but if maidsafe/safecoin succeeds then omni given its limited supply will skyrocket...I'm already big on waves...I liked counterparty but one of the biggest projects on their platform (STORJ) is currently switching over to ETH

KAYI off cryptopia has brought me some funds. It's currently .00000003 btc. Just buying some of these "illuminati" coins with hopes they do something in 5 yrs.

Some disconcerting info about Antshares from a Reddit post on the Antshares subreddits...

Read this earlier on Reddit. The things that strikes me about this is that the poster doesn't seem to realize that Onchain DNA is what Antshares and Lawchain are based on. Antshares is a public blockchain off the DNA framework. Basically, all DNA projects can 'talk' to each other. I'm sure there will be private blockchains created off DNA.

Development concerns have been talked about in the developer slack for antshares. Seems like they are trying to get more developers in on this with the event on the 15th.
