Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

My litecoin investment is up by a few Gs USD in about 2 months - this thread is gold. I am holding LTC though not selling for now, I'm waiting for it to hit $50 and that might be in 2 weeks :money:

only 182,000 :crymeariver:
I should have followed lgb and spaceage's advice and kept on steadily buying ripple every week.

I just hate how hard it is to buy large amounts of BTC. I have to pull multiple loads out of the ATM at a limited amount before the block my card, then go to BTC ATM and deposit the cash there.
Coinbase only does $300 max a week.

Do you mean an actual physical BTC ATM or is that website? There's a few BTC ATMs around me...thinking I might have to go check it out for some easy BTC to fiat withdrawal soon! Is there a limit of how much fiat you can take out on the physical ATM?

Actual physical BTC ATMS

My credit union always blocks my card if I try and do multiple withdrawals from an ATM.
I usually only end up with around $1000-$1500 cash.

I don't think there's a limit to how much you can deposit into a BTC ATM.

yeah I fucked up sold to soon and lost 4k

I think everyone has went through this at some point with ripple....

yeah man. we all did. I tried to game the system a litte and lost 6000 xrp in process when I bought back. NOW I'm hanging on until it hit 1 dollar at least.

Its a learning process for us all. BUT CAN U IMAGINE if you were trying to do, learn, read, monitor, and process all of this info on your own?

I do my deposits via ATMs. The problem is a some machines the exchange rates are bullshit.

The reason I don't do more deposits is because I can't explain cryocurrency clear enough. It's hard to throw money in an investment you truly don't understand. But so far it's monthly beer money.

Are any of y'all actively lending out all of your Ripple on Poloniex? I watched the video on lending and just want to confirm that it is a safe practice. I'd hate to lose what I have going so far.
That's what I'm currently doing, been at it over last few months. It seems pretty safe, but you're subjected to any malice that might be done to the exchange like a hacking of some sort. The safest thing is to move everything you own to wallet or cold wallet of some sort. If you do that, you won't be able to use the lending system.

We are currently in a elliot wave triangle pattern right now and price should continue its climb in about a day,

I've done it with all of my coins. It seems safe but the rates are so low that it really isn't worth it.The percentages are so low that you have to loan out hundreds of thousands just to get a few Ripple in a couple days.

I know one thing: If I was on here and kept seeing this thread refresh and the price going up knowing that I'm not invested, I would be sick.

There are hundreds of members on here who are doing just that. Honestly, the main reason I got involved was because I missed out on Malaki's Bitcoin investment suggestion.Back then it was $16 a Bitcoin and just a few days ago Bitcoin was around $1700.

pay attention to what he says in the last 3 minutes of this video as It could affect us all tremendously esp when he mentions changes to the system. PoW vs PoS.

Watched the whole video very informative. Pos is already implemented with some coins now. PIVX had I believe a hybrid pow/pos system in place to start now a full blown pos network with an algorithm to distribute rewards evenly among master nodes and stakeholders. The only drawback is you have to have 10,000 PIVX coins to start your own node. Which was cool before but now?? $10k :o. (Im not sure of the minimum for a staking node.) But if you are at that level it would be an opportunity to have passive income processing block chain transactions and rewarded with more pivx. I think all the coins that come out with that in place we should look at.

I can see XRP really taking off if Coinbase starts carrying it. I'm hoping the price dips a little bit but either way I plan on regularly adding to my total.

Okay. Well that's what I'm not clear on. Let's say that hypothetically I have 250,000 and want to lend all. How much Ripple can I expect to gain a day, assuming the now going percentage. (i.e., can one of y'all who are better at math kind of walk me through how the increase stacks--maybe give me the numbers on a realistic hypothetical transaction)

If you loaned out:
250000 Ripple at 0.25%
250,000 x 0.25% =
250,000 x 0.0025=
625 Ripple
