Didn't take more than 2 days

South Korea Pushes Ripple Price Up 71%, as Japanese Banks Conduct Payment Trials

The South Korean cryptocurrency market has pushed the Ripple price up 71 percent over the past 24 hours, triggered by the Ripple blockchain-based payment trial conducted by Japanese and South Korean banks.

Ripple74_CCN_12.13.2017.png

South Korea Accounts For 50 Percent of Ripple Trades
Bithumb, Korbit, and Coinone, three of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the South Korean cryptocurrency market, currently account for more than 50 percent of global Ripple trades. Over the past 24 hours, the three trading platforms have processed over $1.7 billion worth of trades, surpassing the combined daily trading volume of Bittrex, Poloniex, Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Binance, and Kraken.

In South Korea, investors tend to move rapidly through word of mouth. Once several people are invested, everyone else rushes to invest in that particular asset, as Korbit co-founder and CEO Tony Lyu emphasized several times.

When a leading cryptocurrency like Ripple begins to surge in value within the South Korean market, by 10 to 30 percent, the rest of the investors in the market scramble to invest in it, triggering a short-term surge in the price and daily trading volume.

Cryptocurrencies that are heavily concentrated in the South Korean market such as Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, and Monero tend to increase by large margins and decline rapidly at times as well, because of the abovementioned tendency of the South Korean market and its investors to move speedily based on the trend of the market.

John Mcafee mentioned Verge today(along with monero and zcash-- good company). Verge has a dedicated community. Should have followed my own damn advice on that shit and caught it when it was on sale end of summer.

He's going to be like a church minister with this crypto shit. Fleecing black folks left and right. Heard they offering some product or some shit.
$350 for a crypto course... fuck that you an take suppoman's for $10

Since I'm beginning to understand this crypto game more and feel like it is time for me to spread my wings and fly from Coinbase, I decided to try and set an account with Poloniex, only to get this message

NEW YORK RESIDENTS MUST CLOSE THEIR ACCOUNTS
As of 8/8/2015 and in accordance with the New York State Department of Financial Services, Poloniex is no longer allowed to provide services to residents of the State of New York. Since you have indicated that you are a New York resident, we regret to inform you that you must close your account.

Can someone lead me to a platform where I can dabble in other crypto besides what coinbase got to offer?
Doc setup on binance.com and bitstamp.net

When I first joined this crypto journey, I was intrigued about having a cyber, cashless, worldwide, anonymous wallet. A method to buy shit anonymously. I sold fractional coins via a person to person transaction, that felt like a drug deal with cell phones. Then I've moved on to ATM transactions with my gas station android phone. Now the ATM fees are stupid, and Bitcoin has morphed into a Wild West speculative world, I'm wondering whether I should give up trying to embrace anonymity and like a bank account to secure better transaction fees.

Just random thoughts.

I still think a BGOL fiat exchange for members would a great thing. Maybe a 6% fee.

If you got some BTC through anonymous means, don't give that shit up so easily.

So coinbase is going to add some more coins in 2018. I know most of the more seasoned crypto traders on here don't like coinbase but they're probably the most popular with millions signing up. Whatever coin they add, it will see a hike in price. So my question is what coin do you think they'll add? I want to jump on it before it hits coinbase.

Investors are currently speculating on what coins Coinbase might add in an effort to buy-in before the masses. Popular speculations are: Bitcoin Cash, Monero, Dash, Ripple, and Iota.

I know there is a love/hate relationship with Ripple. But it seems to be the goto coin for newbies (you can always tell the new investors, they love to tell you how excited they are about their first purchase of Ripple and/or litecoin...lol). With that being said, having a few XRP wouldn't hurt regardless. It did finally spike after about 6 months of being stuck between .15 and .25

See my next post about IOTA.

The price of cryptocurrency IOTA has retreated to below $4.20 per token as of press time, after breaching the $5 level to an intraday high of $5.03 during yesterday’s trading session. The drop follows the recent clarification that IOTA’s collaboration with Microsoft is not an official partnership.

The so-called ‘IOT cryptocurrency’ failed to sustain its momentum from earlier this month and has been overtaken by Litecoin, now the fifth largest virtual currency by market capitalization.

Price movements of Litecoin and IOTA
Litecoin considered the crypto market’s silver to Bitcoin Gold, boasts a nearly $4 bln trading volume in the past 24 hours. The digital currency is trading at around $300 as of press time.

IOTA, meanwhile, has registered a 10 percent price loss on a trading volume of just slightly below $500 mln over the same period.

More than 40 percent of the IOTA transactions were conducted on the platform Bitfinex, which was the first major virtual currency exchange to support the IOT cryptocurrency.

The other key IOTA trading platforms are Chinese exchange Binance, which accounted for around 25 percent of the total volume traded, and South Korea’s number two cryptocurrency exchange Coinone, which conducted 12-14 percent of the total transactions.

The IOT cryptocurrency has also registered a major rally of its own just recently. In just over a week, IOTA’s price increased by about 450 percent after the announcement of its Data Marketplace, which misleadingly seemed to indicate a partnership with Microsoft. The reaction to this news resulted in a new record price peak of $5.55 on Dec. 6th.

XRP. Hard to believe they don't have it now. Don't think they will add any privacy coins. Who needs the government bitching and crying even more about money laundering? Bitcoin Cash wouldn't surprise me.

I put feelers out to all my peeps.

If they know of anyone who passed on who may have had tech knowledge or purchased btc for something years ago...send the old computers to me. I'll gladly do a fair split of whatever bitcoin found.

Bitcoin recovery Business is in full effect.

bitcoinrecovery.com is taken

OK , hxxp://bitcoinrecoverycenter.com/ and bitcoinrecovery.us has been purchased. I have no clue how to do this. Anybody want in. PM me.

It could be because of the over all market, but there is a rumor that a big announcement well be made around two so called house hold name companies.

Some people may believe this partly because the person who is saying this leaked the news about the lockup date and was correct. Also, someone from Ripple mentioned something about the two major companies.

Given that everyone knew about the escrow happening this month, I think the guy just got lucky with the date. However, according to him the news should come out by Friday or early next week.
Also Ripple is replacing SWIFT for some bank to bank transfers. they testing now. Wish I could find the article ... I'd post it.

Smart Media Token Powered By Steem Pays You To Watch Porn

luzcypher (73) in ico • 18 days ago
Porn viewers may not be getting laid but they soon will be getting paid Smart Media Tokens built on the Steem blockchain.

I got a Google Alert today that notifies me of any recently published news containing the word Steemit.

There was an article posted today on ChipIn.com that said;
Penthouse Adopts Blockchain.
I took the click bait and read this story about a new ICO coin called VICE launching Jan. 3, 2018 that will reward viewers for watching, producers for creating, and curators for curating porn.
In a Vice transaction, the viewer earns tokens for watching, the producer earns tokens for creating content and the content curator earns tokens for identifying relevant content for the viewer. Source ChipIn.com

Could this revenue model shift to a site like NetFlix and monetize viewing movies or mainstream broadcasts?
Imagine NetFlix running on a blockchain generating its own token and instead of charging a subscription it operated on a percentage of the daily tokens generated, the rest being rewarded to the producers and the viewers.
The more movies you watch the more you earn.
Are we headed for a future when couch potatoes can make a full time income sitting on their ass? It sounds too good to be true but the porn industry thinks so and is going for the money shot.
vice.png

Vice.org says they have the platform ready to go and expect to raise $25-50 million with their launch Jan 3rd. That remains to be seen, but what they do have is a huge audience in the 100's of millions visiting their sites. Imagine if they started getting paid.
I may have to buy a few of those coins before the pump and dump (no pun intended).

SPANKCHAIN is already doing this. They have a working model. Don't ask me how I know.

They are selling JARVIS. An automated analytical price prediction software. It will tell you when to buy / sell based on your input. It is not connected to any exchanges and will not actually make the purchases or sales but it will send you an alert.

You can get JARVIS software for the low price of $2499.00

Nope we are here. Sitting on close to a million ripple. If it hits $1.00 :mike:

I can't tell if it's moving off of the recent news or the rumors. There is supposed to be an AMA today and I've yet to see anything good come from with any of the coins when they occur. That plus if the rumor is false could tank the current price.

I'm not selling outright but I'm considering putting in a stop lost around .45. If it does drop, I hope it stops and holds around .30/.35 and I'll rebuy what I sold through the stop then. The problem is that even if it hits. 45 it may not drop further and worse rebound on me.

OK, I found out why XRP pumped so hard.
XRP, DASH & XMR all be be added to Coinbase next year. #Guaranteed
This will allow more people to get those coins via fiat WAYYY more easily
Expect them all to continue to grow exponentially next year.
Don't believe ANY OTHER NEWS of why it went up.
Only the Super Duper Whales were privy to the info I am telling you
And they bought the SHIT outta the coin.
I am lucky to know

My contact says XRP will easily be $2+

For the more seasoned traders here, I need a little guidance. What pages should I focus on in this thread to improve my trading alt coins? My coinbase game has been pretty on point(Approx $20k balance from a $13k investment since 11/9/17), but I know that I'm limiting myself trading-wise by only using bittrex and cryptopia(barely) as my exchanges and only researching coins based off of their activity and a few words from the message boards connected to their page on coinmarketcap.com. I'm definitely doing well, but I know I'm still working harder than smarter. Any help would be appreciated

You need to get into the slack group would be my guess. I'm assuming that's where all the heavy hitters are now.

I had to research the reference to slack I saw in this thread.

When your team needs to kick off a project, hire a new employee, deploy some code, review a sales contract, finalize next year's budget, measure an A/B test, plan your next office opening, and more, Slack has you covered.

https://slack.com/

Looks like spectrum is the man

I've gotten a lot of DMs about the slack group. I haven't really responded to most of them. I'm only going to send out invites to people with pretty significant posting histories in this thread (no newbies). You might want to DM me again but it's mainly for bgol vets at this point.
