I hope not cause the market will recover faster

I'm pissed almost to the point of no words...I'm not gonna say I wanted a hard fork but I @ least wanted the threat of it to loom over the market this weekend and next...anyway the weekend is almost here...curious to see how far in the red it goes if it does go red...fuck :fuckyousay:

Well it still might go deep in the red....I don't think there will be a fork but you never know.
Nobody is supporting the new coin (if there's one) so that's more than half the battle

Yeah I think that BTC jumped same time I got this email today from Coinbase.

Dear Coinbase Customer,

We are contacting you to make you aware of recent developments in a number of proposals for technical changes to Bitcoin. All BTC stored on Coinbase will remain safe during these events described below.

The User Activated Hard Fork (UAHF) is a proposal to increase the Bitcoin block size scheduled to activate on August 1. The UAHF is incompatible with the current Bitcoin ruleset and will create a separate blockchain. Should UAHF activate on August 1, Coinbase will not support the new blockchain or its associated coin.

The User Activated Soft Fork (UASF) is a proposal to adopt Segregated Witness on the Bitcoin blockchain and could result in network instability. It is scheduled to activate at the same time as the UAHF.

To ensure the safety of customers’ funds, we will temporarily suspend BTC deposits, withdrawals, and buy/sell starting approximately 4 hours before activation of either fork.

  • If you do not wish to have access to UAHF coins, and do not wish to access your BTC during the fork, you are not required to take any action.
  • If you do wish to have access to UAHF coins or access your BTC during the fork, you should send your BTC from Coinbase to your external address by July 31.
For more information on these potential Bitcoin forks, please refer to this article: https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2844217-uahf-uasf-faq.

Thank you,

Coinbase Team

? Have you done the Math???
150k Minimum...IF they sell 4000 Asics, At today's prices that would be $1200 a Month that you could cash out, hold or reinvest in other coins.
So where the word "forever" comes from I'm confused......
The Main problem they had was the TIMING of this sale. With BIP148, BIP91 & UASF the market and all coins took a hit.
Yes, they have had hiccups but that's cause these companies don't have professional marketers doing the work (can't afford)
so they goof up, but they learning. SC still got the best prices and soon the best network for encrypted enterprise cloud storage.

Considering the math is simple yes I have. You're assuming the price maintains its current level or better. I'm taking into account that the price could drop and the even without the price drop the difficulty could increase over time which could reduce the amount you are able to mine alone. Keep in mind how fast this market moves, so yes your return on investment could take longer than you think.

Although the market crashing didn't help the price, Siacoins problem had little to do with bitcoin issue. They attempted to hype up the news and spilled the beans early and then didn't have any follow up news to maintain the price. The market was not impressed with the miner news and the current update is (unless it updated today) late. This was followed by them not being able to get enough preorders and them not having enough money to start production of the units on time. Now with that latest cash infusion that issue may have been resolved. Also, some of the updates that were supposed to drop in June were pushed back to other upcoming versions.

I believe Siacoin has potential and I've invested way more than the price of the miner in Siacoin. That being said I'm not willing to cut off 2500 for a year or more that could be used for other things.id rather have the funds in a position to move if the team moves slower than expected, loses out to competition or just out right fail/quit like other teams/projects.

I've lost money on investments in the past due to smart tech guys with poor business sense and poor marketing skills.while I think they need to stay focused on the project, I also feel any good team would be preparing for the day their product is completed.being the better product doesn't equal success and if the team overall fails you'll be stuck with a table weight considering that the miner supposedly is only good for mining Siacoins. All that being said they do seem to be one if the better teams especially around communication.

Let me ask you. What decent coin HAS NOT went up in the past year? Please let me know, I'm eager to see your findings.
I will get my money back in 2 MONTHS....You really won't see a drastic difference in difficulty until about 8 months to a year after getting the Miner. You talking like it's gonna be right away. Hahaha....Now, being that they have not sold the initial 10,000 they thought they capped it at 4,000, it's at about 1260 right now....if they only sell 2,000 that means I will get 300,000 SC per month. To each his own...if you can't see that this a no brainer gamble so be it. Good luck with whatever it is you see as a good gamble in this highly volatile environment.

Side Note - You talk like a Glass is Half Way Full type of person which is odd cause in your own admittance you've invested in SC. You should be having better, more positive thoughts for YOUR investment. ANY coin I have I'm pushing for it to do well....I have MILLIONS of SC so I have a lot of skin in the game and believe in the project and vision.

Yeah, I was waiting for more red. Fucking Stratis back to over 5 and was just 2 something a week or two back. We were all gearing up for a black-friday like event like :hellyea: Market cap was just 60 something billion before the bitcoin news.
Damn I guess I'm to late for the party.

Party just getting started. They setting up tables and the food, women, and drink haven't even shown up yet. We are very early in the game. :money: :money: :money:

Define a decent coin. Last I checked almost everything under the sun has gone up due to the hype of the market and pump and dumps that you seem to be in favor of.

I try to avoid out right gambling and I'm not saying buying the miner is a bad one. Im confident that ill be able to do more with 2500 in my chest than sitting around doing nothing for a year. You're talking like the price is a sure thing and I'm saying the miner is not for me. Either way if Siacoin is successful we both win.

Decent = NOT SHIT COINS
My point is the WHOLE market is up...even shit coins. This whole thing is still an infant so to say all coins will be
up a year from now if not a stretch. Buddy, if you own crypto you ARE out right gambling...#WakeUpCall

Gambling is using your money in hope of gaining riches due mostly in part to luck so I'm not gambling as much as investing in future technology.

Like I said, the miner is good for you and I have no issues with your choice.im not trying to convince you or anyone else it's a bad idea and I don't care about losing out on potential gains from the miner. I'm simply saying why I passed on the opportunity. Also, if it is successful the opportunity will be around even if I need to wait longer for a unit or pay more if I'm ever interested in mining.

As far as the shit coin talk, most people would have put Siacoin (and maybe still do) in that bucket so that term doesn't hold any real value to me. Some coins just have more potential than others to give you a better return on investment.

THIS IS LUCK MY FRIEND

THIS IS LUCK MY FRIEND

A little luck is involved in anything we do. However, having a process/ criteria for your picks is vastly different than having the pokemon approach to this.

If you buy 40 random coins with the hope of it getting a profit and 3 of them make you a million, that was luck and may be the only time you have a major win. if you research 10 coins only 1 gets you a million and 3 were a complete loss, luck was involved but your criteria was the biggest factor in your success and will more than likely lead to more major wins.

damn...I just realized a pattern the last 2 weeks w/ RISE leading up to the platform switch...it fluctuates between $0.04-0.09 (occasionally $0.10) @ least 2x a week...I could've doubled what I put in 4x over...I wasn't thinking like a trader tho...shit just hit me today when I sold it...I doubt it will sustain it tho...this relaunch was "flat" as hell...no real news behind it to drive up hype whatsoever

Again LUCK....Doesn't matter how much research you do Period.

That's your opinion and if going into situation blindly works for you cool. You can be lucky all day but if you are not prepared to take advantage of the lucky situation what good does luck do you.depending on luck alone leads to failure in most cases. That is why most lucky lotto winners lose their money and can't grow their new wealth.

Doing research and working on your skills leads you to a situation and truthfully it wasn't really luck that got you there.

Meeting Jayz would be luck for an inspiring artist. Being prepared for the day you meet Jayz or creating the opportunity is the work and research you put into your goals. The same concept applies here. Your research and plans can lead you to the right coins; not just random acts. Continued success is more than just dumb luck.

Of course you offended me if you insinuate I don't do research. I put in countless hours
WE all do research but nobody became a millionaire of ChainCoin here...?? It's luck.
I'm just sick of cats on here acting like they KNOW WTF is gonna happen and telling others something is a waste
and that's exactly what you did. If a motherfuacka told me he invested in something on here all I'm gonna say is GOOD LUCK
No need to respond. I'm tired of this back and forth...

SMH I thought we already decided to disagree and move on, so how can you be tired if you keep talking about it. If you can't discuss a topic and hear others view points, don't jump in the discussion or keep to your word and don't respond. If you're talking to me, I'm going to bring up the good and the bad.

First it was all luck and research don't matter and now you put in more hours of research than anyone. If you really put in the work, there would be no need to try to set up pump and dumps aka help to scam others out of their money. The money will come to you in time out of your efforts. I don't know or care who has a million, but I know it takes more than luck (random events) typically speaking to get there and maintain it. With that mind set youll be playing the victim all your life instead of taking some responsibilty for the few actions that are in your power to control.

You brought up the miner to me ("Better buy an Asic Miner from Obelisk Minimum 150k SC coins per month") and i told you why I (key word is I) wasn't interested at this time/if ever twice.I never said what anyone else should do one way or the other. I even said if the coin increases in value we both would win, so at what point did I shit on your dreams or anyone eles. This isn't group think, so we're all going to have different methods to get to our goal. You have millions of coins and you bought the miner, so at the end of the day fuck my choice and thoughts.I'm good with just holding the coins for a quicker return( if the price increases)/flexibility (in the event things go south or better oppurtunites come) and in my eyes that cool too.

There was no reason for you to keep responding but you choice to and I had no issues with responding. Now your in your feelings. As far as insinuating your lack of research, that was based of your statements about it not making a difference so that's on you.If I was taking your comments out of context, you should have responded with an eassy like me or said nothing. its funny that you can say whatever about a person but cry foul after being called out based on your own statements.

hey yall ,new to this shit but from what it looks like theres about to be a black friday sale coming up? for beginners what should i look to cop and when?? id appreciate the feedback fellas
