Chuck was absolutely right about Jimmy lol. He laid it out exactly how it was.
It ain't Chuck fault that Jimmy is a piece of shit.
Good luck with that Kim.
And she KNOWS HE DID IT
now you can't get on that high horse kim. that's over with.
there's a lot to get into but im not even gonna go there about how cool it is to see drug dealers and scam artists ill just leave that alone.

SAT THERE AND WATCHED HIS BROTHER GET FUCKED UP!!!!

This is who yall riding for?
Yes she can. It's not part of character.

Why we arguing.

Both brothers are scum bags.

We sympathize with Jimmy because he KNOWS he is scumbag.

EVERYTHING Kim said was true.

That doesn't make Jimmy a saint, but it fully exposes Chuck fake sainthood, and false martyr syndrome.

He is the worst because he is a hypocrite and delusional.

What is great here is that we ALREADY learned from breaking bad. No one is clean no one is innocent but it is all about choices...looking into the darkness and realizing who is looking back.

It's about the descent...about breaking.

And how to live with being broken.

i am not riding with jimmy per se. but chuck losing mesa verde was karma. jimmy is a scum bag. and so is chuck.

yep...karma is a bitch...

that big ass firm could have let her keep that one contract...that mutha-fucka went out his way to snatch that shit back...so fuck him...

she stood in that stairwell for days on her lunch break day in and day out to get that contract..she deserved it...

dude sat thru a meeting and dam near died to keep her from getting that contract...like they needed it...smh...

good ass ep...

Me and wife screamed like teenagers watching Jason in the 80s when Chuck dropped....

Then cheered like Cam had really won the super bowl.

That is some evil...

Cause here is the thing Jimmy reacted on FACTS...

and no matter all the speeches about justice redemption honor law integrity?

He offered no forgiveness or redemption for his own brother because of simple jealousy pride and ego.

It is so simple and biblical

Prodigal son...asking the father why he let the other brother in?

Chuck is so smart he's stupid ? Going to a copy shop at night when you have electro-allergies

Sometimes you gotta let shit go, plan your retaliation patiently

I don't see Jimmy as a scum bag at all.

In the first season, when everyone advised and wanted his brother committed, it was Jimmy who outright refused and fought for him.

He also took care of him by himself on a daily basis.

This is also the same dude who had his hands on millions last season and didn't keep it when he could have.

All this while his brother was going behind his back and making sure he didn't move forward in his company and trying to keep him in the mail room.

The scene where Chuck is pleading trying to convince Kim to not believe Chuck...

We gonna see he had the same exact conversation with his own wife

*did u notice how the bed scene was shot exactly luke Chucks bedroom scene with HIS wife?

Ya'll ain't see that Kim is essentially Skylar? It's just because she was introduced differently that we feel differently about her.

* Notice how the law firm looks just like Skylar's old job building? Even the bosses?

This didn't really take place "back in the day."

The events we're watching now are really close to the Breaking Bad events so you're talking 2008 or later.

My point is I know u could do that now, but 5 years ago was it as prevalent?

So would/could the machines have saved any digital copies?

Hold on back in the day did copiers have memory?
Yes but what's the evidence that would get a court order?

If I owned that shop I'm not just gonna let you see what my customers do without due process.

I know hhm may have pull with some judges.

Off topic, Mike just got some innocent person killed.

I now see how tio got all fucked up. The meds lol, mike gonna give that nigga a stroke.

How?
We see Chuck treat Jimmy fucked up. And now we know why he treats Jimmy fucked up.

We don't like him because he's mean to Jimmy. There isn't anything else in his professional reputation shown thus far to say he's a scumbag. We just don't like him cause it felt like he was unfairly picking on Jimmy.

Playa

If you found out i was stealing from our dad and took his business under.
didn't want the job that i gave you
bailed me out of jail countless times.
Men and you all good? No resentment there at all?
Jimmy doesn't want to be like Chuck that's the fake aspect. He's got everybody fooled into thinking he looks up to him and wants to be like him and live up to his standards. no he doesn't. He'd still be working at the job Kim gave him if he did.
He wants to do his own thing and that's OK too
but you're not going to sit here and say that Jimmy being a scumbag to the people he cares about and to others is Chuck's fault.

He couldn't that was his breaking point. He knew he was right about it. He actually was right about it. It's his entire reputation that's on the line. That doesn't mean shit to Jimmy but it does to Chuck.

But that's why Big companies stay big. Cause they don't do that. Walmart has never said "Let's move to another neighborhood since this mom and pop grocery store has a good base"
not ever

Chuck also got Jimmy the job
Chuck also bailed Jimmy out of jam countless times. Like i said we're introduced to Chuck with him getting Jimmy out of jail yet again. it wasn't the first time as they both alluded to. Jimmy is a junkie for cutting corners. He always says shit like "This is my last time" to chuck.
this is before Jimmy embraces his way of life which he's starting to do now. We see him on breaking bad after he's accepted who he is.
It works both ways.

and pretty much the only reason im presenting the other side is because of the shock i had when everyone came to his defense after he stole from his dad. we all waited to see if it were even true because the writer's don't allude to stuff they make sure they show it... as everyone said the week before

and then they show him doing it and the goal post was moved.

Excellent points...

My thing is even IF Jimmy hadn't tampered and an error was found?

He would have blamed Jimmy.

Or Ernesto.

Or kim.

Or who was convenient

And the fact it was so easy and he was so certain and even tried to twist the fact that jimmy supported him whenever he was ill even when his own damn firm was trying to force him out tells you all you need to know.

F*ck Chuck.

I understand the father and bailing Jimmy out...bullshit.

He is an asshole.

That doesn't make his brother innocent or mean he can't hate resent jimmy.

But his Walt like rationalizations for EVERYTHING he does are just unbearable.

Give that man an Emmy.

I haven't frustratedingly, loved a character like this in a long time.

But he can die or be crippled now, im good.

On to mike...brillant.

We see Mike has BEEN dirty but much like the criminals he believes he is better then he has a code.

And Mike learned he was a criminal mastermind just like walt...look how he starting feeling himself and bought out the bar...that is something he would later tell walt was a stupid move to expose himself.

That innocent blood will shatter Mike, but this is his code and Mike's twisted way to justify all his criminal activities

Just. Like. Walt.

And to have Mike unintentionaly maybe subconsciously? cripple the man Gustavo loathes...wow, mind blowingly, great writing.

Wait...but you didn't see ANY fault with the Sainted, father in that scene?

If the writers of Better Call Saul don't somehow write the hard drive into the story arc, it is a serious oversight.

But we can't throw out ifs when he was actually right though lol. That's what I mean. you're saying well if he was wrong about saying his brother actually did do something to damage his reputation for kim then he would have... but we don't have to deal with woulda shoulda coulda in this case. we dealt with what happened and the fact is jimmy did it exactly how he laid it out.
kim said it. your brother is smart there can be no trace. his brother was so smart that he actually had his guy at the place jimmy was at before jimmy got there..
jimmy is just better at being bad than chuck is at being good.

I see chuck's side of things. He did more for Jimmy than I would have after i thought someone had robbed from my daddy and led to his death. i can tell you that much for damn sure.

Wait...but you didn't see ANY fault with the Sainted, father in that scene?

Not a fault that would justify Jimmy stealing from him TOO.
if he's too green and is a sucker and is going to go down YOU CAN'T contribute to it too. that's the point.
Saying he was going to lose his money anyway isn't justification for jimmy stealing from him.

Like i said earlier it's like if your brother has a wife that's a nympho and then you fuck her
and you keep fucking her
then its found out and you're asked why.
"Well she was going to fuck other people anyway might as well get me some too"

that's gonna go over real well right?

I guess what it boils down to, is whether Chuck would really turn Jimmy in over the things he did. Or does he just want to prove to Howard and Kim that this mistake was really Jimmy's fault.

My view of Chuck is that he wants Jimmy to fundamentally change for the better (according to his own moral code) and failing that, he wants to minimize the damage that Jimmy can cause.

If he really wanted to fuck Jimmy over he could have told the other Law firm that hired Jimmy was cutting corners when he was getting all those old people signed up for the class action. Instead he implied that it just "looked odd" But he knew slipping Jimmy was up to his old tricks.

So, wow, here the "No half measures" theme again. Chuck is not going to the extreme against his brother because it would probably mean a hit to his professional reputation. But because he can't or won't do that it sorta enables Jimmy to continue do shady shit which in turn comes back on Chuck. Such a crazy dynamic.

I have to give the writers credit. They achieving exactly what they want to achieve. Having viewers picking sides and arguing over which fake characters they ride with.:eek2::p

If the writers of Better Call Saul don't somehow write the hard drive into the story arc, it is a serious oversight.

The story said "Since 2002 virtually every copier has a hard drive". Better Call Saul starts in 2002 which means that these machines may be older models that don't have them. Considering that this is a low budget print shop that uses a single slow recording VHS tape for its security camera, which is primitive for even 2002 standards, it's also likely that their machines are just as primitive.

Even if they did have hard drives, who would think to look for them? It's 2016 and people are only now starting to realize what a big deal this is.

no -this is pre 2006
pay attention to the cars and phones
note Jimmy's brand new C class this season and the AMG S Class the nursing home lawyers had last season

If you really want to make a fair comparison then you would have already warned your brother that his wife had already come on to you and was spreading her ass all over town. Your brother would have replied "What if you're wrong" and refused to check her. Then you would have to be caught by a relative with a well known long standing grudge who claims that you're the only other person she's having sex with. Then the wife would have to divorce your brother who eventually commits suicide.

If that were to happen would it be fair to say that your philandering ended your brother's marriage? Would it be accurate to say that you drove him to suicide?

also not every copier has hard drives especially if it wasn;t made to be on network - its really scanner printer models

no its the direct comparison because jimmy stole. he contributed to it too. it wasn't a long standing relative. it wasn't some outside force or some shit. it was HIM. so the comparions rings exactly true as i said it. he warned his dad
and then ended up being one of the people he warned him about.
