Truthfully they did get better against the run. Pass rush took a hit.
washington took the same approach. got some supposed run-stuffers but besides Frankie Luvu, who else is gonna get sacks? i dont know lol

Key here is Sam Williams and Donovan Ezeiraku….. I don’t know how they split minutes but yeah Fowler is gonna be a situational pass rusher.
washington should have kept him and used him that role - then they go out and get 36yr old Von Miller. who everybody knows will be a situational pass rusher. Fowler has an axe to grind vs washington. he feels disrespected.

yeah he was mostly situational for us. but when they decided to improve the run defense - they used Fowler as a scapegoat. that was dumb. i would have kept him for 3rd downs only. let him do his thing. dude had 10.5 sacks and a pick 6 for us.
Payne and Allen were the main disappointments vs the run. supposed to be the alabama wall.
