I remember hearing one of those commentators I think it was Terry Bradshaw saying Mahomes is a good QB but the defenses are forcing him to play real football and he doesn’t want to do it. He always has a receiver open to the side but he wants those highligh plays (long bombs, flips, no look passes) so he holds the ball to long waiting for that and then is forced to run around, throw it in the grass/out of bounds or force the pass. I bet he has a lot of rushing yards this year
