{~}Official 2022-2023 NBA Thread - it’s that time again, this thread coming to a end

Wade is the best Heat player. Bron wasn't there long enough to warrant that award. 15 years and a chip BEFORE Bron. All time guard defense (blocks), all time guard rebounder, that shit makes him legendary.

Not everything has to be about Bron, and everybody knows that Riley hates LeBron for leaving. Wade got dumped at the side of road by the same man, so he knows what's up with the side talking, fake love from Riley. His love ain't worth shit.

Not an excuse but It would be crazy to expect them to be the same or better without lebron

Of course they would be worse
Worse cool. Can't even make the playoffs though? 1 of 4 teams in the history of the league to go to the finals and totally miss the playoffs the next year.

Shit was an abomination. Comical at times. 100 got dam free throws. Stern hated Cuban.

Rile is a colossal piece of shit. Refused to pay the man after the Heatles run and forced him out. Now hes lying trying to save face.
10 years of service from DPOY candidate Marion, 8 from MVP candidate Stoudemire.

8 all-star seasons and an All-NBA first team between them in their 18 years-- So All-stars about half the time.

5th and 7th all-time in points in franchise history.

2nd and 3rd in rebounds.

No-brainer IMO.
You dont retire numbers for this bullshit. Honor and acknowledge them in team ring of honor or some shit... but retiring numbers!? Fuck no.

He's the sentimental hero. I understand that. I see you capitalized before. Yes it was before. With Shaq. And Wade followed the same formula once Shaq left. Back to 1st round exits. Until the real best player to wear a heat jersey came and boosted his legend

The Suns have been around since 1968. I'm legitimately surprised you didn't change your mind based on that information I presented. Marion was #2 in rebounds and #5 in scoring for a 55 year old franchise and he was there for a decade-- About a fifth of the franchise's long history. And he was more known for his defense than his offense!

I think the ring of honor and jersey retirement are the same for the Suns... Which jerseys would you yank down?

Marion, No. 31, and Stoudemire, No. 32, will have their uniform numbers officially retired as part of their induction to the Ring of Honor, joining Alvan Adams (33), Charles Barkley (34), Tom Chambers (24), Walter Davis (6), Connie Hawkins (42), Kevin Johnson (7), Dan Majerle (9), Steve Nash (13), Dick Van Arsdale (5) and Paul Westphal (44) as the Suns’ retired numbers.

This is even more unreasonable than your Oakley/Starks stance, @Amajorhater!

Ok. Well thats useful context. The bar is clearly pretty low there to get retired. Retired jerseys should be reserved for all time greats, hall of famers, and champions. Ring of honor should be distinct from retired numbers.
