{~}Official 2022-2023 NBA Thread - it’s that time again, this thread coming to a end

Amazes me how no one mentions the nigga only had 2 fucking points in 41 mins
Cause we so use to him disappearing for long stretches like this. I hate that niggas grandmother. Good dude, real good dude in the community. He really is. But I'll still break both of his legs and put his head in a vice like Nicky did to the dude in Casino till his fuckin eyeball pops out.

Jack is a gotdamn poet. Not the romantic kind, but a poet nonetheless.

They still gotta go at least 3 months into next season before they can make any moves on Ayton and he has a year from his contract signing to tell Phoenix to fuck off if he doesn’t like the trade destination.

  • Phoenix cannot trade Ayton before January 15 of 2023, which means that it is unlikely that the Suns will be able to participate in any major offseason trades.
  • The contract includes a one-year no-trade clause that permits Ayton to block any deal during that period.
  • Since it was Indiana that initially presented Ayton with the offer sheet that Phoenix matched, the Pacers are unable to trade for Ayton for one year as well.
  • The deal takes the Suns beyond the NBA’s soft salary cap and into the luxury tax for 2022-23.

Either run it back next year or Reload...
  • 2023-24 $15,800,000 guaranteed, fully guaranteed on 6/28/23
  • 2024-25 non-guaranteed, fully guaranteed on 6/28/24
In 2023-24, Paul will earn a base salary of $30,800,000, while carrying a cap hit of $30,800,000 and a dead cap value of $15,800,000.

I thought we had it bad with that Tobias Harris contract, but damn the Suns are going to have a fun off-season :smh:.

New owners don't like to eat luxury tax or buy out contracts. Unless you're Steve Bomber rich.
Oh and a special shout out to Nets fans for taking that Ben Simmons contract:blush:
