{~}Official 2022-2023 NBA Thread - it’s that time again, this thread coming to a end

Shit went south with Bones Hyland quick. Young buck is a shooter. Punk ass Clippers got them one
That was horrible getting rid of him. :smh: Bruh, I know you pissed

Didn't the warriors let him go in the first place?
He left as a free agent.
Eric Gordon finally got traded

Myles Turner got a new deal

and John Collins is still stuck with Trae
I still don't get why the Hornets have never made a huge effort to get Collins. He could play the 5 for them and he'd be a hell of a pick and roll/pop partner for Lamelo.
Wiseman must have wanted out.
Wiseman is 3 years into a 4 year rookie deal with the Warriors having to exercise his team option to bring him back next year and pay him 12 mil next season if they did not including whatever luxury tax implications existed.

Word is, he was shocked he was moved. He wanted to stay, but now, he's with a much younger core, so he's good now.
He was basically a cheerleader. Dude never played he also apparently was lazy and didn’t practice or train much. I wish him the best but this ain’t no Jermain O’Neil situation where he sucked for 4 years then turned into an allstar

@largebillsonlyplease what's up with Wiseman? Is he really that bad?

They weren't asking the man to score. I'm saying how hard could it be to rebound, play solid defense and set moving screens?

No he isn't bad he's pretty good
He's not ready and wasn't to impact immediately
It was a bad pick not because he's bad but because the core still had about 3-4 years left it was too early to get a project when you still contending and need to get immediate impact players

I think he'll be good and on a team that will let him work through the things

I was a fan of the pick I thought he was ready he showed flashes but it didn't come together like they'd hoped so that's a miss on the record.
Hit on kuminga and moody missed on wiseman

And proof positive is what if they had got haliburton instead or the other guards and wings that have turned out to be real instant contributors?
We won it all we're the defending champs and wiseman didn't even play
Imagine if we had someone who was ready and could just grow and keep it going?

So I still think he'll actually be really good just not with the warriors and the style of play.

The happiest person in this shit

Udoka

Kyrie went from costing him a job....and him having Kyrie and KD to rebuilding

Personally I think Brooklyn still has a decent team and probably the best shooting team in the league with Cam, Joe Harris, Bridges and the other Curry

low basketball IQ

He couldn't be counted on for those things. Them rather playing Loony says everything.
It wasn't that at all lol
He was just young he doesn't have a low basketball IQ he just didn't have enough reps
And ppl always clown looney
But the fact is he rebounds
And literally defends 1-5
Because when you switch him onto a guard it's not a mismatch and idk how many ppl you can say that about.
He was literally guarding prime harden in the playoffs on switches to no advantage

He's not pretty good....he's pretty bad and is about to be a bust

He's a second pick who got traded for nothing. That tells you what Golden State and the teams around the league thought of him.

are you his cousin?

Dude is literally one on of the worst defensive players in the leagues statistically

Looks the +/- for your team with him playing

The move really was about the Luxury Tax... He's available for an extension this summer...

Yes that’s true but he wasn’t playing and it wasn’t due to injury, and it was because of his play and that had nothing to due with salary or potential salary.

There’s been issues for a while.

Gotcha, so it was the style of play that he didn't fit into.

Understood.

Do you know how old Steph Curry and Klay are?

Ball was instant impact wing player and playmaker who would have fit in well with the team and offense. Wiseman, at best, will be a 3 year project big.
And hes doing it without his "real" starting PG and while having to deal with the fact the front office blew the #1 pick last year on a D league project big in Wiseman.
Guys.... as of today... Wiseman is a fucking bust. Those other guys are role players at best. All worthless without the Warriors all-star core. A core now in their mid 30s with 3 years of high competitive ball left. If you can flip them for KD for the next 4 years (which with health all but guarantees 2 titles), you do it.
Like i said about Wiseman from day 1.

Oh, and @therealjondoe , been telling you for years Pat Riley was trash.
