This here is the typical owner vs player argument on what they are paying them vs what they are “worth”. Most fans don’t care what athletes get paid cuz they don’t see a dime of that. Karl Malone is 60 years old-- I think it is inaccurate to call him a pedo today because 40+ years ago he, as a teenager, had sex with someone 6 years younger than him. You make it sound like Karl Malone is a threat to children and there's nothing to support that idea.
A pedophile is someone who has sex with children or wants to. I don't see how you can honestly tag Karl Malone with that label.

If we were talking about actions as an adult, that would be one thing. I don't believe in judging people forever based on what they did as teens. And two teens having sex does not make the older teen a pedophile. That's simply not what a pedophile is. I would feel differently if this was something he did as an adult.
Obviously, 6 years is the biggest possible age difference between teens since teens range from 13-19.
Legally, nobody under 16 can give consent in most states so you are technically correct. A sexual encounter between teenagers, to me, is not the same as an adult preying on a child.
