{~}Official 2022-2023 NBA Thread - it’s that time again, this thread coming to a end

I can’t stand when mfs get on these shows and try to cape for these orgs….bitch shit up

I ain't never backing the team

But they raise a good point

Is there REALLY any truth that by being "loyal" to the player that has any PROVEN effect on future signings?

Cause after what Ainge did to IT?

You would have thought THAT would apply...

But it didn't and doesn't.

When a player gets drafted, they have no say in where they go. I’m sure Dame would have never picked to go to Portland when he he was drafted. But he went, and has been a modeled citizen since being there. While this stupid organization has demonstrated for 14 years that they don’t what the fuck they are doing. After all that, if your position is Dame is wrong, something is wrong with you. Someone of Dame’s caliber should get to go where they want, all that other stuff these pundits are talking is that, bullshit and nothing else. Talking for clicks….

I hear you.

That's not what I'm asking.

They did raise a fair point

Has an organization ever really suffered from not doing what the player wanted?

The blazers are not about shit anyways, so it doesn’t matter. The last 14 years shows us that. And don’t be fooled by teams not winning or going to the playoffs. They all make money regardless. This is just bs for the media

Forget what show I was watching yesterday but they basically said Portland ain't ever landed a free agent. How they treat Dame ain't go change nothing

"Jordan was on a lot of players' nerves way before that, including Klay's and Steph's..."

So Poole is supposed to be okay with Draymond hitting him the face at work, without punishment? The franchise has cosigned Draymond after ever fuck up. Dude cost them KD, cost them a championship, and cost them Poole and probably Divenchenzo. Seems fucked up to keep dumping on Poole on the way out like this.

There was some punishment...

He didn't have to just be cool with it immediately but if his demeanor caused it to be an elephant in the room half a year later, it seems to me that, from that point forward, the issue was him.

Michael Jordan slapped Steve Kerr. (Obviously DG is not MJ but the point is he is the far more important and valuable player.) If Steve Kerr thought that entitled him to become a locker room cancer, what do you think would have happened?

And who is dumping on Poole, Ric Bucher?

He kind of got fouled though

Hold on he stole him in the chin and called technical? That’s silly lol.
There's probably gonna be a lot more, video reviews by the refs and team challenges.

The end result from that shit after all was said and done, after Draymond was cast as the villain for punching a loud mouth cat In the mouth that multiple players on his team and around the league don't like. Green ended up getting a bag anyway, and they shipped that fool to purgatory. :dunno:

That team had 10 years to build something
And they didn't. And now they can use their superstar in order to do so. The Pelicans became a better overall team in part from trading their best player, Anthony Davis.
Salute to Dame for sticking around but their indebted to take whatever in order to get him like Tyler Herro and a bunch of picks from drafts 6-7 years in the future.

Just did a Google search. It says their best 5 free agent signings are
5. Dorell Wright
4. Danny Ainge
3. Ruben Patterson
2. Dave Twardzik
1. Kenny Anderson

Makes sense. What black dude in their right mind would choose to live in Oregon? IDK any!!
