Not the way Butler, Joker and Murray playing it won't.

If that is the matchup and it doesn’t do numbers, that’s the NBA’s and it’s media fault. The Nuggets and Heat are playing the best basketball in the playoffs right now. Not those other two teams.

But that’s where the narrative that Malone is talking about would come back to bite the NBA. Cuz you consistently talk about the losing teams and what they’re not doing and make it seem like the winners shouldn’t actually be winning. So the casual fan base who make up the majority of NBA fans begin to think that the Nuggets and Heat are not actually good and therefore wouldn’t make a good Finals matchup. The NBA isn’t marketing the shit correctly imo.

Casual fans are interested in what they're interested in and they choose what to watch by their interest.

Jokic is a 2 time MVP and both the Nuggets and Heat are up 2-0 and the Heat beat Boston 2 times at home.

And Boston played in the Finals last year.

The casual fan knows that the Nuggets and Heat are good teams.

I understand that the Nuggets are you team but you can blame everyone for not wanting to see them play.

The Spurs and Pistons were champions and great teams, but they weren't exciting or must see tv.

I guess we can blame the fans and the NBA for not marketing them better too?

Being good doesn't make you the most popular as evidenced by social media.

Additionally yes the Lakers organization is a storied franchise with a deep history and championships in the league.

But without Lebron, them niggas wouldn't talked about, be on tv and nobody except their fans would give a shit about them.

Just like when Lebron was in Cleveland and Miami.

Yes the NBA markets certain players, but fans are drawn to who they're drawn to regardless and f marketing.

Fans gravitate towards Jimmy because of his play, not because of marketing.

Notice that you didn’t mention the Heat and you only thought I was talking about Denver. I’m a basketball fan mane. Not just a Nuggets fan. With that said…

Where do you get that I’m blaming everyone? I’m blaming the media. It’s simple, if you don’t cover it, the casual won’t see it. Folks were shocked that Fox on Sacramento was a fucking baller. Not me cuz I actually watch the games.

The NBA fights for Lakers and Celtics to make it every time they are in the playoffs. They know what the fans want. The fact is that the NBA has more talented players and teams that deserve more shine. The Spurs and Pistons was a boring series because of their style of play. People love watching up and down basketball, high scoring games. The Nuggets are the best offensive team in the NBA. Highest scoring. They have shooting, post play, great bench play, defense when needed. They are a complete team. I say that as a basketball fan, not a Nuggets fan. The Heat have Heart and a dude who’s a fucking menace right now in Jimmy Butler. They got Bam and solid bench play and great coaching.

Celtics got a dude that doesn’t like to score in the 4th quarter. We really want to watch a dude NOT close out games?? What does the casual fan want that Miami or Denver doesn’t provide?

Lebron James is one of your answers. But there’s more…

I typed the "Heat" three times in my post.

I stated Lebron because he's a Laker and your type of fans has mentioned tired of seeing the same teams. People like Lebron and want to see him.

Steph, Ja, and a few others are draws because they're exciting and people like to see them play.

I don't know what the casual fan wants?

Strangely Tatum was all world less than a week ago!

Had a bad game in game 6 but lit it up similar to Murray and murked the Sixers in game 7. Have two bad 4th quarters and now he hasn't grown, hasn't advanced and turned into some shit.

How quickly things change! :roflmao:

Regarding De'Aron Fox, he's been balling for the past 4-5 years. Nobody sees it or gives a shit when you're losing though. That's just what it is, plays he's in Sacramento a team that hadn't made the playoffs for damn near two decades.

Yes the NBA can do better to market more players and teams, and the sports talking head can do better to talk about more teams than the Lakers and Golden State etc.

I just don't see it as a huge conspiracy or preplanned to go against other teams and players as as others do.

Butler and Tatum did what they needed to do for points , rebs, assist.. heat center did what he needed to do on rebs, and heat covered the spread +10.5.. $20 was turned into $140.. now using that bread to bet on stats for joker, lebron, and Davis.. hey hey free money.. I should’ve been bet on these games last round

No match-up in NBA history would undermine the importance of the regular season more than Heat/Lakers.

Even with the Giannis injury asterisk, the success of this 8th-seeded team that was nearly eliminated in the play-in is perplexing.

Probably the Heat more than anything because the Lakers changed their entire team around at the trade deadline and had the best record after the all star break..

Yeah. Making adjustments at the deadline is an important part of the season. I've heard it said that you didn't need to pay attention to anything the Lakers did pre-trade deadline to understand this team as it exists today and it undermines the first half of the season that a team can just overhaul itself like they did or the Suns tried to and then make it to the Finals. The NBA needs people paying attention before Christmas, certainly before March-- This "just add water" shit does not help the league.

However, that's a normal part of the flow of the season. Teams always make adjustments and try to make a run.

Not ideal but not absurd.

This "Playoff Jimmy" shit??? A mockery.

Obviously lucky as fuck since they so barely even made the playoffs-- only a fool would cite them as a model. Yet here they are. Their existence just shits all over the integrity of the reguar season.

Think about it though..the NFL wraps up with the SB and then a few weeks later is the all star break and then thats when people start paying attention. Yeah we watch games at Christmas time and watch games that feature spectacular rookies, but for the most part, people really dont start paying attention until after the break, especially with Load management.

The NBA is also going to run into a problem that MLB is facing, who's going to be the next star to transcend the sport like Lebron..you have stars, but you dont have that main guy that EVERYONE knows..Curry and Bron both are getting older..Giannis is not that dude. For a few decades, we had Magic, Bird, MJ took it to another level, then you had Kobe overlap with Jordan, and then Lebron overlap with Kobe, and Curry and Durant, but these guys are getting older...who's next? Jokic? Tatum? Wemby?

Yall can thank the Hawks for the Heat's playoff run.

Losing that play in game to the Hawks seems to have really made them straighten up they shit.

Spoles and Buckets and Adebisi must have lit a fire in the locker room.

I'm impressed they are doing all this without Tyler Hero.

Hell, Bron was DONE with the regular season until he saw they had a chance to make the playoffs. When he broke the scoring record, I knew he was going to damn near quit the season. As soon as them new guys started hooping, and Dallas started losing, the door opened for the a Lakers and Bron slide back into the lineup. They said he was hurt, but I don’t think he was as hurt as they claimed.

I certainly counted the Heat out. I’m not even going to lie. But I also didn’t expect the Bucks, to lay an egg they way the did regardless of Giannis getting hurt.

The play-in tournament has ruffled the regular season.

LeBron is in good shape for his age, but I see hints of father time especially if he plays long minutes.
