devil's advocate.... Ja didn't break any laws...BUT he promoting an image that could be seen as promoting black on black violence. Because lets face it. Most gun crime that happens is intra-racial. The Black community already has alarming rates of gun violence and having an influential young black male promoting something like that is detrimental on a social community level.

What this means for the NBA is it puts them in a very awkward position with the Black community:

1. On the one hand...coming down hard on Ja's behavior could be seen as racially driven.

On the other hand standing silent while a young black man with a national/global platform seemingly promotes gun violence, comes off as condoning it...and conspiracy theorists could make a case that the head honchos at the NBA (read: white corporate america) are perfectly fine with the promotion of black on black gun violence and even profits off it since they ALLOW Ja to openly behave this way knowing whose going to be negatively affected.

Ergo...If the NBA does something they're a bunch of racists buck breaking a black man who didn't commit a crime...if they do nothing they're a bunch of racists who dont care about the black community and are fine with negative images of black men

HOW DO YOU WIN THAT ARGUMENT??.

2. The NBA is a global brand and they have a history of promoting it in a certain way and the people who work for them and are the face of that brand cannot be seen doing things that violate or hurt the image of that brand. So they are within their rights to protect it the way they see fit.
