**Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Thread**

I watched the most soccer yesterday, than I have ever before...probably 3/4 of the game.

But I can tell,Michael Bradley sucks...

Is his daddy one of the guys who picks the team?

Yooooooo. That shit cuts deep, I was at a bar and the white boys were ready to party and getting cocky, that goooooooooooooooooooal was pure poison. They were quiet like little mouse, Damn karma.

I was in the bar deep with my ronaldo jersey. after that varela goal some white guy had liquid courage and tried to fight me. Some female in his group held him back :smh:. yo, i take my football serious (chelsea fc) but not to the point Im going to randomly fight some other guy at the bar. :smh:

homie was walking into an ass whipping:itsawrap: . Shorty diverted that shit, I really didn't want to fight him just trying to enjoy the game.

He was but no more. Bradley fucked up, but he's not a bad player. He's still young and needs to learn to manage a match more efficiently.

That comes with experience.

He really fucked up. I don't even know if lack of experience is the issue there. That's something a 10 year old should have known... there are 39 seconds left and you have the ball with no one within 10 yards...if you kick it out of bounds, towards the opposing keeper or anywhere the game is over.

Midfielders instinct I say. A defensive midfielders quality is 360 degree passing and keeping the ball well thru circulation. Bradley by nature is that, so playing him in a higher role up the pitch, those qualities are still going to come thru. You can tell he tried to play the pass back, hesitated, and the rest was history.

Whatever the case maybe, it was something that shouldn't have happened, but I get it. That's where a little better game management comes into play.

Just gotta focus on the Germans and try to play mistake free football.

Speaking of which, that first Cameron giveaway was soft. We should've won 2-0.

he just couldn't control his first touch and he couldn't recover before the defense was all over him.

He didn't need to recover. He just needed to boot the ball... ANYWHERE. If he just kicks it as hard as he could out of play the game is over.

Ahha true but don't expect anything from these last games if both teams are certain of qualifying

that was the only group that had 2 teams already qualified. It's on and poppin for the other groups. Only 3 teams are eliminated going into the last group games.

I expect to see most if not all teams going hard.

I have to admit, sometimes I have a hard time rooting for this team. The racism in American soccer is ridiculous. On every level too. There was alot of surprise and shock when the roster and the starting lineups were announced because of Beasley, the black German players, and Landon Donovan. Then as it is playing out, the black players really are the best on the team. Dempsey is the only non black player putting in work. The Commentators keep talking about Bradley,Dempsey, and Zusi but Jermain Jones,Fabian Johnson,Tim Howard, and Demarcus Beasley are the ones putting in the major work(with Dempsey). They dogged Brooks when he was brought in,but really didn't give him the same props that Donovan got for scoring. They talked more about Zusi's corner kick assist than either Brooks' goal or Jermain's goal which was the best goal scored by us the whole tournament.:hmm: The real story of the World cup is all these bruthas out here carrying this team. Why isn't Tim Howard the face of this team? He is the only player ever to play for the US that is one of the top in the World at his position. And has been for YEARS. There is not a doubt in my mind that is Tim Howard was white, they would be portraying him as the leader and constantly showing him shouting encouragement and portraying him as the hero of the team for years.
And who are these Commentators? The truth of the matter is that Lalas was garbage when he played. He was known for his red hair and goatee, but him and Agoos were liabilities on defense.I was shocked he made the team over Desmond Armstrong in the first place. Then they have Landon who is one of the worst commentators I've ever seen in any sport. And yet Cobi Jones can't get a job. Or Desmond Armstrong. :smh:
The real reason we will never be a powerhouse in Soccer here in the US is our system. Our most talented don't get the best training but our most wealthy do.Its expensive as hell to play for a club soccer team here in the US.This is why Klinnsmann had to go to Germany to get players who were able to come up thru a system that developed based on talent and not on wealth. Non coincidentally, these are the best players on the team.
