~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder(Heat 3-1)~-~-~-~

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

Dude Im going to answer this real quick

1. Barea hmmmm isnt westbrook quicker and faster than jj berea.:eek::eek: who on the heat will guard westbrook??:lol::lol::lol:

2. Zone Defense the celtics slowed the heat down without a real center or even PF.

3. Chandler......Hmmm Ibaka has twice as many blocks as anyone this playoffs......and Perkins can guard any 4 or 5.....

Ask the Mavs,Lakers and Spurs about IBAKA AND PERKINS....beat bymun, dirk, gasol, tim duncan.....IBAKA and PERKINS are no joke son!!

Did u see the regualar season games between these two teams....OKC clearly has advantages.

I didnt even mention HARDEN who just might be the best most complete basketball player on the team. Durant great scorer,Westbrook most atheltic. but James harden is that baller.

We will see i go OKC in 6 sticking to that.

this

im still waiting on someone to tell me who is going to rebound for miami?

it damn sure aint bosh

anthony is useless

howard is nursing home status

this isnt going to be as competitive as some of you think

theyre not getting second shots

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

If I was so much of a bandwagon fan i would be posting when they lose and I damn sure would've went ghost when they lost to the mavs
You clowns convinced yourselves that I hopped on the heat train after the decision Lmaoooo

Funny you niggas wasn't there when me and Beeii was going at it during the 10 first round playoffs with the heat and celtics

Lebron was no where on that team but I will let you believe what a bandwagon nigga I am

because it didnt happen nigga

first you was a dwade fan years ago but you didnt post about the heat

now youre shitting on wade and loving bron

niggah thats the wagon you hoppped on...stop it

you didnt even post in sports threads like that

but now youre the biggest angriest heat fan alive

hell only thereason was the only person here representing miami

and then you quit on them during game 2 of the indiana series and i said they would still win

what real fan does that?

and youre calling people clowns....hilarious!

i had more confidence in your bums than you

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

just getting ready to cry like you always do and yell fire spo whenever anything goes wrong

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

see this is why our conversation will be short.
you are talking about okc from a month ago not the okc of a week ago....
they have grown and changed so much
you're watching old tape and they play totally different

they attack the rim

they rebound

they pass the ball

and they play great defense

ibaka and perkins aren't gonna be on bosh they're not going to double team him lol the other will be in the paint and are a trillion times better than any other big man you have to offer, true or not?

Bosh straight destroys Perkins. No way he can play Bosh without help. On Perkins, Bosh can get almost any shot he wants. I don't see Perkins getting a lot of minutes in this series.

perkins can play on anthony and dominate the boards and intimidation

easily

perkins better get a lot of minutes they have the height and inside advantage especially on the defensive end

thats a weak argument

i know who I debate sports with

most of my posts come from sports threads

i debated emmitt vs barry from 10pm to 7am one day

btw its not hard....all you need is a brain to remember....let that soak for a minute

and comparing football to bball is dumb as fuck....

one is a series of 7 games...the other isnt

but real fans dont quit on their teams...period!

thats the fairweather shit

now back to my question...who is going to rebound for the heat?

no one is answering this question

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

youre saying shit that had nothing to do with what i was talking about.
you used the bulls as an example and it was a horrible one.

if westbrook tries to hit jumpers you get off easy

if he attacks the rim you're not equipped to stop him...you don't have anyone on your roster with his speed period.

If Westbrook was attacking and finishing at the rim his field goal percentage would be a lot higher. In the Spurs series he only shot 35% and for the year he shot under 40%. So he is not attacking the rim or shooting well.

So why would the Heat or any team double him? Hell, based on his stats you prefer him to shoot as much as possible because he makes less than 40% of his shots.

when did i mention double teaming

we won't know but its a scary thought if the light bulb went off and he figured out how to play.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

Chalmers just needs to be good on offense, not great. Team D will help him on the other end. He isn't a complete bumb like Bibby was.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

Haslem, Anthony and Turiaf if they can stay out of foul trouble..

yeah rio is good but he will need alot of weak side help with westbrook

That's to be expected. That's what the big 3 are for. Not sure y people are concerned about a 1 on 1 match up with Westbrook. For the most part, there won't be one. Even Spo is not stupid enough to let that happen. Westy might catch Chalmers in transition though. That's the only place Chalmers will get lost out an island. Like I've said from the beginning, this is all made possible by Bosh's presence. If he goes out, the game changes drastically for role players like Chalmers on both O and D.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

From reading these last few comments, the Heat will have to figure out more compared to the thunder.

not an east job at all

but not complex

I know I've never seen a home crowd as hyped as OKC. It has to be difficult to play there. I need to check their home record.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

OKC is more than a problem.
Some of y'all haven't been paying enough attention.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

What's yalls take on this lineup.

Mario
Dwayne
Shane
Lebron
Chris

Forcing "Iblocker" to guard James or Shane, getting him away from the basket.
Perkins guard Bosh or UD, which at times pulls him out some.

LeBron and Haslem will be big on the defensive glass.

I didn't read through all five pages, so I'm not sure if this was mentioned, but are y'all convinced that OKC's young guys won't be shell shocked by the big stage??

Shaq and Penny were as good as Durant and Westbrook are, and they sure as hell were.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

How long have you guys been actually 'watching' the game of basketball. The ONLY determining factor is how the referees call the game.

Of all major sports, basketball is the most vulnerable to manipulation. There are only five players on the court per team, fewer than in other professional team sports; thus, a single player can have a much greater effect on a basketball game than he can in the other sports. Star players can carry an entire team on their shoulders.

Because individual players matter so much, a single referee can affect a basketball game more than he can in any other sport. Referees call fouls. Contact occurs on nearly every play, any of which could be called as a foul. They're called "touch fouls," and they are mostly, but not always, ignored. The refs get to decide which ones to call.

Even more drastically, a ref can put a star player in foul trouble immediately -- and cause the coach to bench him longer throughout the game -- if he wants the other side to win. He can set the pace of the game, low-scoring or high-scoring, based on how he calls fouls. He can decide to invalidate a basket by calling an offensive foul on the play, or give a team the potential for some extra points by calling a defensive foul. There's no formal instant replay.

It all depends on the referees.

They may feel the butterflies but they have vet players who have been there done that. Fish and Perk I believe helped OKC grow into what they are now.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

Shaq and Penny were definitely up against a better team. That's not the situation that OKC is in.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

One of the keys to this series will be turnovers. Both teams average a lot of turnovers (OKC lead the league) and both are opportunistic when it comes to creating turnovers from opponents. I want to see Lebron get his ring to silence his critics but it seems that OKC might have too many weapons for Miami.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

Post his stats from both games

Funny how you think 1 blow out in a reg season game indicates anything then try to deminish a heat win by saying the heat struggled to win the next game

Series was 1-1 I ain't got to make anything up proof is there

That nigga new what Westbrook stats were against the Heat and that is why he did not post them.

In the Heats first match up with the Thunder Westbrook shot 4-16 (25%)

In the second match up Westbrook shot 9-26 (34%)

In the Celtic series there were at least two games when Pierce didn't get to the free throw line until the fourth quarter. Saw it happen with Wade in one game. It is damn near impossible for a bunch of 6'5" dudes to be jockying for position, rebounding, getting layups, etc. to NOT FOUL. Some players clearly get EVERY call (end up shooting 24 free throws and shit ) others don't get to line until the game is decided.

Miami heat = buffalo bills

Niggas bout to be in the finals twice and lose

Who the fuck does that

And I got my niggu fish hitting big big clutch 3's.

He like how Ron Harper went to the lakers back in 99

also what's this shit about the heat running the east????

Nah niggu, I'm not with the bullshit I'm a Knicks fan

I see Perkins and Ibaka getting in foul trouble by the early 3rd in the first two games or getting hurt from trying take the charge. Everybody else on OKC will stop contesting shots and loosen up on defense. As long as Lebron and Haslem don't try too many 3s and post up or drive all 4 we should be good.
Live out your 3 point fantasies when we are up by 10.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

This series is going to be an offensive shootout. The thing is that Okc has more offensive firepower than the heat. Okc should not double Wade or Lebron, just let them get their points and don't allow the others to have wide open 3's and jumpers if Okc does that they win this series easily.

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

nigga this shit bout to be like Lakers Pistons in 2004.

5 game series.

but my niggu wade ain't going.

he from chicago

also beatdown was reppin kobe backin 08-09.

go look up the posts.

Never repped Kobe but for that series against the smelltics yeah I wanted them to beat Boston. You already know where I stand when it comes to the celtics

But yeah this game going 6 possible 7 games in Miami favor only because of the experience factor and Bron failing in the finals.

You got to fail before you succeed

Durant will go through it too and he will get it next yr

But make. I mistake these 2 cats will see each other for the next 6 yrs in the finals this is the new bird/magic matchup

Re: ~-~-~-~Official 2012 NBA Finals Thread: Miami Heat vs. OKC Thunder~-~-~-~

Haslem, Anthony and Turiaf if they can stay out of foul trouble..

Haslem Battier and Miller need to stay out of foul trouble and score when the opportunity presents itself.. Anthony, Turiaf and Jones need to play tough defense(including strategic fouls), get a couple putbacks or rebounds, and clog the lane. If everyone plays their roles we'll get to see Juwan Howard and Cole put in some work. Lol.

That's my point. Just 1 official can dictate the entire outcome of a game with 3 or 4 well timed calls.
