Official 2011 NFL Draft Thread......

Damn. Mallett has become an after thought. They're saying no one is even interested in him as a 3 round pick at this point.
:smh:

We'll see, it's definitely gotta be more than weed as a drug problem. Arguably the best QB in the draft but won't get picked til the 4th or 5th.

Destiny my friend, Destiny!

NIGGA, why the fuck was you not in the thread last night :lol::lol:

I was at work but I was following the draft very closely

I have no problem with drafting a lineman but word was that we could have gotten the Jags 2nd rounder to trade down to #16 still could have got Costanzo or Solder :dunno:

How did I know Jerry would draft a linebacker...

You knew because eventually he was going to do something stupid:angry::angry: He refuses to acknowledge the fact that his secondary is awful and there you have rahim moore who is better than ball but he rolls with a LB fuck fuck fuck:angry::angry::angry:

I dont understand it one bit

You cant explain the shit to me at all

not mad at the Bears pick... I dont like them trading a fourth when they need more players

I would have prefered Marvin Austin but they addressed a need. Hopefully we'll go O-line again in the 3rd.

So how would you feel if the Bears snatched up Mallett later on.I have a bad feeling he could end up with the Patriots.

Alan Ball must have some picture of Jerry or something. I swear if that roll that nigga out starting at safety next year, me, the dtowns, alexw and a couple other cats need to go execute order 66 on Jerry :hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm:

Alan Ball won't be the starting safety Jerry knows he can't do that but if we dont get Huff back there we could be in trouble

I looked up dude who we drafted and he is still recovering from a ACL and will probably play inside

Man didnt we draft a LB in the 2nd round last year to play inside recovering from a knee injury or am I tripping?

Solder is a swinging door for speed rushers and Costanzo is a good player but Tyron has the most breakout capability.

Yep, stephen hodge who i believe is no longer with the team

Yep, stephen hodge who i believe is no longer with the team

Actually I was talking about the CAC from Penn State

But he looks like he might be a nice replacement for Brooking

Why do the same thing in the same round for the same type of player the very next year? :smh:

All these bum ass LBs we have brought in the last few years man

Kaepernick is Gonna be a Steal for the 49ers :D:dance:

That's all I've been hearing for the past 2 weeks.

Harbaugh is on this "I'm Jim Harbaugh, Quarterback Guru Extraordinaire, I can turn any QB into Joe Montana..." bullshit so he better deliver. I understand being confident in your abilities but he's on some Rick Martel type shit right about now.

And 9er fans, don't expect Kaperneck to start. Alex Smith signed a waiver form this morning and reported to the 9er workout facility. Reports are coming in that his agent is highly recommending he accepts the 9ers 1 year offer, so now Alex is sippin that Harbaugh Koolaid.

Bruce Carter is still recovering from the ACL and they were saying if it weren't for that injury he could of been a top 15 pick, also he might not even play that much or at all depending on how his rehab goes.We might of got a steal with this pick

Dallas drafted another running back ??????:confused::confused:

Running Back is one position they should be solid at unless they plan on releasing Barber.

And now we draft an injury prone running back?

We dont need a RB, surely not one this fucking early

We could just cut Barber and roll with Jones and Choice!!!

Get a power back in the later rounds or free agency

Man what the FUCK are the Dallas Cowboys doing toady?:angry::angry::angry:

9ers messed up, they could've gotten Luck next year.

How? Even if Luck gets hurt and doesn't play the entire season he's still going #1, and he's not dropping beyond #5. To guarantee getting Luck next year the 9ers would have to go 0-16. And if that indeed happens Harbaugh is getting fired.

Jed didn't hire Harbaugh to win the division, he hired him to win the Superbowl.

I already read all that shit and I still dont like the pick

why aren't they addressing the secondary ???? Sometimes Jerry makes some questionable moves. Plus didnt Garrett have some input in these picks ??? Give Tashard Choice the chance to play. Drafting Demarco Murrary wont do anything but cause more of a logjam at the position

Sean Lee looks like he can play, as far as the Demarco pick i have no problem with that since when he had a decent line to run behind he was outstanding. The Carter pick pisses me off the most seeing as that's the pick that could've been used on a CB or FS.

Murry was not needed

At this point honestly I dont even want to address the secondary through the draft

It was bad enough to be addressed with a premium pick

Yeah Sean Lee can play

He was bouncing back from that knee at the start of the year

So why draft a dude who plays his same position?

Yea but even Flo and Larry Allen weren't 1st round picks. I just have mixed feelings right now. Earlier when I posted I hated it. The more I read about him the more I think we might have hit on this pick. I don't think we can even fuck this up. A athletic offensive tackle who they feel CAN play left tackle. This shit might work. Usually athletic tackles are left tackles but for whatever reason he was a right tackle.

But man what the hell was the Lions thinking of drafting Fairley when they have Suh and Corey Williams? I mean I can understanding wanting depth but on the defensive line and at defensive tackle?

He was a LT his freshman year, didn't get any burn & they moved him to RT. LTs are a fucking valued commodity & in a pass happy offense like USC's they didn't want him watching the blindside, but we're to believe he will come & protect Romo:smh:
Honestly, I caring when Peterson went off the board...I don't expect us to be serious contenders until that stadium is paid off.

Words cannot express! i hope we get swiped by the JETS< BILLS<AND PATS...so this miserable excuse of a FO can get the HELL OUTTA HERE. IVE HAD IT! FUCK'EM

ur front office did fuck up... but mallet does have addictions concerns...so he could flame but he is a 3rd round pick so its nothing to the pats... but yeah ur front office fucked up...either they trust henne or they gonna give next years draft to the eagles for kolb...

I love our draft so far.....not what I expected but with Prince being available @ 19, that changed our whole draft. I figured we go OL and LB with the 1st 2 picks. Now we got the #2 cb in the draft, a DL which is insurance just in case Barry Coefield leaves looking for a huge payday with the 2nd and now a return man/ wr with the 3rd pick. 2 Steals!!!:dance::dance::dance::dance:

Ny Giants

1. Prince Amukamara (CB) Amukamara has the size, speed and awareness to start from day one and turn into one of the league's finer players at the cornerback position. Takes advantage of his instincts and smarts in zone coverage but also has the ability to hold up when asked to cover on an island. Possesses good overall ball skills and hands. Will help out and support the run. Durable, aggressive, competitive and hard-working. No major weaknesses in his game, but isn't a true burner in terms of straight-line speed. Amukamara will likely be selected early in the first round, possibly in the top 10.

2. Marvin Austin (DL) Austin has first round talent, but he did not play football last season and there are concerns about his character and work ethic. He appears to be a prototypical 3-technique defensive tackle, as he is a big boy with outstanding athleticism. He has great feet and the lateral agility to move quickly down the line and make tackles on the edge. He uses his quick heavy hands to shed blocks and has the closing burst to make plays in the backfield. Austin's off the field issues may prevent him from being a first round pick, but he could be a major steal in round two.

3. Jerrel Jernigan (WR) Jernigan is flat-out a playmaaker who has the ability to make an immediate impact as a return man at the next level. He has excellent speed to stretch the field and the hip fluidity to maintain momentum in transition and separate out of his breaks. He lacks the size to be a No. 1 receiver in the NFL, but he is a slippery runner in the open field after the catch and projects to be a weapon in the slot. He has a chance to be a second-rounder.
