Official 2011 NFL Draft Thread......

excellent pick up... he can play inside or outside but he's gonna be outside and provide a fuckin pass rush finally... too bad we don't have a 2nd rounder but we'll pick an OLB who can rush also...

the way this draft is going they're gonna be steals all over the draft.

Man, I know Olineman drafts are boring but we're good for the next 15+ yrs with this cat. He's athletic as hell and a beast. We need this in the NFC. When you have to block the Giant's Dline, Eagle blitzes, Redskins's Okoyro (sp), Green Bay, Minnesota, ATl, etc.. You need Olineman.

I know mayne, just hoping we got it right. Free is solid on the right...average on the left. This cat never played a meaningful down at LT at USC. I wanted to move up & get Peterson, need more playmakers.

Damn good luck to the defenes that gotta see Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller next season. Damn that's gonna be tough. I think they're fucking up going back to the 4-3 though.

Yeah, but this dude will get him murked if he can't play LT. He's never played the position. We got 2 right tackles starting for us now...hope it works out.

I believe he played his first season at LT then they switched him up. They didn't say he was no good at LT they just put him at RT instead. I love the pick because jerry did what was necessary, Prince was mad overrated and Fairley has too many ?marks. I just hope we can find a way to get aaron williams tomorrow, The real test is day 2 to see if jerry does the smart thing instead of getting a lineman who won't beat out anyone we already have. I look for them to get williams or Rahim Moore if they do that then i'll be happy.

As far as mark ingram goes did the saints really give up next years 1st round for a dude with questionable knees? Never give up a 1st just ask jerry how that worked out for him, he single handedly helped rebuild the lions.

Man i'm at the point where I don't even trade or draft a running back with a 1st round pick. The list of solid running backs in the league that were 1st round picks vs the rest of the rounds is fucking ridiculous.

I don't like the drafting of Tyron. I would've preferred Fairley. And the only reason I don't like it is because I have zero faith in the Cowboys developing a offensive linemen. Jerry keeps talking about Hudson Houck man Hudson Houck isn't shit and I blame him for why our offensive line and running game is so shitty. I think the game has passed his old ass up.

People forget that Elvis Dumervil went down and that shit MURDERED the Bronco's last season. All it takes is for one playmaker to be out to destroy a whole defense and everyone from the line to the secondary felt the effects of Dumervil going down.

They did develop free but i can understand your hesitation, but if they do right by him then we might have another Allen or Flozell on our hands. If they fuck up then say hello to Peterman 2.0:smh: Something has to be wrong with jordan because the fact that NE took Solder who is possibly the worst lineman in the draft speaks volumes to me.

Yea but even Flo and Larry Allen weren't 1st round picks. I just have mixed feelings right now. Earlier when I posted I hated it. The more I read about him the more I think we might have hit on this pick. I don't think we can even fuck this up. A athletic offensive tackle who they feel CAN play left tackle. This shit might work. Usually athletic tackles are left tackles but for whatever reason he was a right tackle.

But man what the hell was the Lions thinking of drafting Fairley when they have Suh and Corey Williams? I mean I can understanding wanting depth but on the defensive line and at defensive tackle?

Okay, my Browns need a receiver. According to PFT, there are 4 late second round receivers available at the time of the #59 pick

* Greg Little, UNC
* Leonard Hankerson, The U
* Jerrel Jernigan, wide receiver, Troy
* Denarius Moore, wide receiver, Tennessee

Which would you pick?

If fairley plays like he's capable of then the lions have an unstoppable defense, damn it feels weird saying that:lol:

Man...you know football is won on the lines...we are set on the defensive line for a fucking decade (unless a freak injury occurs)...plus the problems at the CB position were really overstated and this move also takes the pressure of the dbs...man..i love the pic...and are still going to get a decent CB in the second round because of this early run on QBs in the draft

its gonna be pick your poison now... you cant double anyone on the line now :lol:

Yea I know. The only saving grace is that their secondary and linebackers can't cover for shit so I guess there's going to be a lot of 3 step drops on that ass. :lol:

Man I don't know about football being won on the line. Look at the Vikings. They may have the best defensive line in football and that got them nowhere last season. You need good lines but it starts and ends with qb and secondary and if you don't have both than you are going to struggle and the Lions don't have good cover linebackers and corners. They'll give the running game hell but a quarterback and a good OC is gonna murder that defense. I expect the Lions to address corner and linebacker in that 2nd round.
