I agree to a certain extent, but if I was a GM, I would not want any of the Magic players other than Lewis and Howard, the rest of them are overated befitting from playing along side of Howard. The Cavs do have a bunch of young players that are developing, Verejo, Williams, Hickson, and Gibson and if you take away Shaq contract, Jamison, and they should be fee to retool a bit.
Shaq contract is 20 mil still puts leaves them 10 mil over the cap. Free to resign players they have bird rights on but not to chase after free agents.
Jamison has two more years.
Anderson is good but he is the perfect bench player. Someone who brings energy off the bench. draws offensive fouls, frustrates opponents and etc. A bruce Bowen type player. These players don't develop they are role players and play their roles they don't ever become more than that.
Hickson has the advantage of playing with James. He is no Andre Blatche someone when once the chance comes will show he can be a great piece to a team. Plus he won't be allow to develop in Cleveland.
Mo Williams is wayyyyyyy past developing. He has ups to his game and he does downs but their is a reason he was a second round pick. Good player though.
Gibson Cleveland has regretted giving him that contract and tried to move him for the longest but no one wants that contract and has shown he is not able to handle the reigns of lead PG.
Orlando on the other hand. They have VC. If things don't work out he can be traded to anyone looking to free up cap space next year.
Brandon Bass is a good young player and will draw many suitors. Gortat same as Bass.
Ryan Anderson. A young PF that can give you offensive rebounds and hit the three and mid range shot.
Air France we know his value.
Nelson if they ever do decide to move will draw some attention as many teams do need a PG.
Young and talented that is more the advantage of Orlando than Cleveland.
As I said before Cleveland constructs their teams like this. As quick fixes. It works but they have to win now.
Orlando team was built in the draft signings through cap space and trading young players gifted players (Lee) expiring contracts (Alston Battie).
Last major signing cleveland had was Larry H.
