Oden signs with Heat

His knees haven't held up since his mid-teens, you and The Heat are the only ones confident in his knees.

Either that or he'll be next years Juwan Howard or Eddy Curry.

I think I've mentioned multiple times in this thread that I don't think his knees are going to hold up. I just was speaking on the hypothetical of Miami handling this perfectly and getting lucky with his health.

Lets keep it real...boxing out and grabbing boards has always been the problem with the Heat. Whether theyre facing the Bulls or Pacers.

Btw..Aint no such thing as limited mins when its time for the playoffs. Who else yall got when old face need to rest his knees?

damn theres alot of salt in this thread..

The only salt thats gonna be needed is the Epsom salt that the Heats Medical staff is gonna have to soak this niggas knees in once he gets injured again.

Those 3 big aSs contracts is why the Heat have to keep signing players like this; Either has-beens or liabilities. Trade Bosh weak ass and get legit pieces. Seems like theyre just banking on LBJ to carry team like he had the carry the Cavs.

they have been to the last three finals and won the last 2 so it seems to be working just fine for them wouldn't you agree?

bron is getting better and better... hasn't even peaked yet.

he'll carry the heat for the next 3 - 5 yrs, EASILY, but if he gets ANY injury that cuts his minutes, that team gets to 'average' status very, very fast.

Bitch u don't know what I be doing

Of course we know what you be doing

to be honest I would be very surprised if he plays any serious amount of games.

3 microfracture surgeries is very serious and I honestly thought his carer was over

Charity! Fuck what yall, myself included, say about the Heat, they are a bunch of charity case motherfuckers! God Bless Them!

Oden is another 20 something old looking like he's 50 type dude, should fit right in aroumd LeBronze

The hate is real

HATE???!!! You really think those knees are going to hold up an entire season? Has dude ever even played 82 games in his career, not to mention 16+ post season games...:cmonson:

The Heat were just being Good Christians with this one, it was Mighty White of them :hmm:

*EDIT* He actually made it to 82, just 82 games in a 6 year career...I can divide, that's roughly 14 games a year roughly. Yall signed him for 14 games this year, & a possible 6 post-season games (matching his total). Smarten up Nas. :smh:

If Greg Oden is going to be a disappointment, I'm 100% in favor of this move.

If his body is no longer made of glass, and he still has his skills, then I'm totally against this trade.

15 solid minutes a game and he will be good... He is clearly for the playoffs he gonna go long stretches in the reg season without playing a game

Low risk high reward...

Exactly. Anything better than what Curry was giving you off the bench is worth that risk

They signed Oden to the veterans minimum. If he does anything more than absolutely nothing, they've already won.

I'm reading in the forums that Olden has one leg longer than the other and that it may have led to his knee injuries..
Makes you wonder why Portland never addressed this issue and if Miami are going to give him orthodontic sneakers to help with his condition
..
Folks, with the Air Clubs jokes, this is your cue.

TRUTH

He still should have went to the Spurs instead.
Nah. Spurs are done. They had a chance to add a max player and near max role player. Instead they doubled down on dumb and dumber (manu/tiaggo). That team will be older and worse next year.

Picasso wrote that..not me. I knew he had the injury bug while at OSU too but I hadn't heard about the knee issues going back to high school.
I read where he had a hip injury as a teen which either resulted in or was caused by one of his legs being slightly longer than the other. He will always be prone to leg/knee issues if this is true.

People forgot about Patrick Ewing. It's ironic that Patrick actually looks younger than his age now than back in his playing. Maybe they will look more their age when they retire. :dunno:

True...But he's a yardie and he was a Knick, and well, the Knicks and yardies are great

Dude is still calling LeBron LeBronze.... Just goes to show how you are either waking up from a mind debilitating coma, or your hate is so powerful, that the last few years of LeBron trauma has put you in a two year catatonic state..

Micro-fracture surgery actually sounds worse than it is, the procedure usually last 30 to 39 mins and players such as Andrew Bogut, Anfernee Hardaway, Jason Kidd, Allan Houston, Kenyon Martin, Tracy McGrady, Chris Webber, and Amar'e Stoudemire have all had it.. It is performed by creating tiny fractures in the underling bone cause new cartilage to develop from a so-called super-clot.
I think what can happen is that the new cartilage may not develop correctly or if the player is rushed back before it fully takes..
In any case Oden was given much more time than usually to recover and during that period his dedication towards getting healthy and and back to form is phenomenal..

Now compare that to the high impact and rushed regiment the Trailblazers had him on...:smh: No wonder why his knees never had the ample time to fully heal. If I were a Blazer fan, seeing this video would get me pissed!
