Oden signs with Heat

On one hand I hope that he is able to come back and become an effective player. On the other hand he's with the Heat so I don't want him to do shit to help them. He better hope that the medical staff does a better staff with Oden's knees than they have with Wade's who is becoming less and less effective.

Good point, how many times did Wade go under the knife?

Hell yea! These cats talking about how he matches up in the playoffs. :smh: He's not going to last that long unless they hold him out until then. Sad to say but hey...

:lol::lol: exactly WTF did this dude do in college?

all i remember is joakim noah and the florida gators running up and down the court on osu.

with his health issues, he's gotta SHOW HE CAN STAY HEALTHY before you can have ANY confidence in him.

All of this. Oden is a bum and his career is over. Miami could use a big man but They don't need this bum to 3 peat.

True but they're thinking give GO a shot, if he works out kool...

Dude had to be worth a shot, the Spurs were also interested!!!

I wonder if they gonna keep a youngster or sign a vet to backup Wade with?

that nigga look way older than 30 in this pick

Because he was. I've been telling you muthafuckas since then that he is really Robert Parish using anti-aging treatments. Have you seen Robert Parish publibly since this mutahfucka showed up at Ohio St.

:lol::lol: exactly WTF did this dude do in college?
.

Oden was dominant in college. Florida just had a was better TEAM.

He can't stay healthy and I expect him to get hurt again...even in limited play but a healthy Oden is a really good player

"Through the first 21 games of the 2009-10 season — Oden's most recent in the NBA — he posted a Player Efficiency Rating of 23.14, which would have been good for eighth-best in the league and better than superstars like Dirk Nowitzki, Carmelo Anthony, and Kobe Bryant. He averaged 16.7 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per 36 minutes that season, including a 13-point, 20-rebound, four-block performance against — coincidentally — Miami in his last full NBA game. "

You gotta realize. He played during the Golden era with a lot of great players. I rememeber when him and Bill Laimbeer used to fight all the time.

(He said he was the man for 21 games) Real Superstar Huh?

I don't think you understood the point. It might have been over your head. If Oden is healthy and you get half of his possible production, the Heat have plugged a massive hole. Oden wasn't a bum when he was healthy. He was one of the most productive players in the league. Miami has enough superstars. Some of you muthfuckas are just flat out dumb.

I'm a little shocked Oden is worried about winning a title when that nigga ain't even played 100 games yet. Seems like he should want to play atleast 60 games like he did his rookie year than be worried about titles. But shit with Lebron the Heat probably was his best choice. I'm not mad at him. I kind of want him to do well. It would be a good story. Everyone has written him off.

Yeah. He seems like a really good dude too man. I hope it works out for him. But big men with knee problems....I'm not putting money on it.

Dammit man. I came in here expecting all types of gif and jokes. Come to find out y'all dead serious.

Oden signs with the Heat ....
Oden still plays basketball  That sounds like a bigger story to me.

Is that PER through the first 21 games vs those guys WHOLE season?

Oh i'm not either. I kind of see it playing out him getting some DNP's and playing probably 30 games this season. I hope that's not the case. It would be a miracle to see him back at that 11 and 8 points a game but if so what a steal. I hate the Heat but i'd love to see Oden win. I don't know why he's getting it so bad. Its bad enough being known as the nigga who went in front of Durant. Let him live.

And how long was he healthy Mr.Smart Guy? :lol:your talking some ol woulda coulda bullshit and yes you are flat out dumb i agree 100%!!!! Miami doesn't need half of a performance from that bum ogden to 3 peat :ssshhh:

Greg Oden agrees to a 2-year minimum deal with Miami Heat w/ player option for 2nd year

You dumb bitch. You don't even know the difference between "your" and "you're". Stop talking about intelligence. We all know the muthafucka can't say healthy. However, when he does play, he's a good and extremely productive player. You can't distinguish between the two statements.

Truth is alot of folks are hoping his knees are not healed cause if they are healthy they know its a wrap. Pat Riley aint no dummy, plus I dont think the HEAT are finished wheelin and dealin either

this nigga is 25?

He and Lebron use the same aging cream.

Why did he draw this out when everyone knew where he would sign???

Really though.

Dude looked 30 as a freshman at Ohio State
greg_oden1.jpg

In dog years.

Oden used to go toe to toe with Wilt Chamberlain
:roflmao2: :roflmao2: :roflmao2:

Oden got the Morgan Freeman syndrome. He always been old.

That's what people do when they know their wrong or don't have anything intelligent to say, they start name calling and fighting like a 3rd grader  (Gods son across the belly I proved you loss already) with that said your fat mom is a BITCH and when does he play? answer that? and if you know he can't stay healthy then why is your bitch ass in here defending him, talking about his stats through 21 games comparing him to Kobe and Dirk who both have won championship titles?

Next you'll be telling me if he stayed healthy he'd have a championship also because his so called stats were better than theirs in the first 21 games F.O.H

Are you really that dumb? The argument from the article is not that he's the caliber of player those guys are. It's an illustration of his PRODUCTIVITY when he's on the floor. You're either mentally-challenged or just disturbed by Oden picking Miami. Thus, if Miami manages to keep him healthy, he will be an extremely productive player considering his skill set is a weakness for them (a big man who can rebound, block shots, and play defense). Considering big men don't typically recover from serious knee issues, I'm not banking on it. Whether Oden is a bum or not is not even debateable though. He's as brittle as your mind but he's not a bum. Go drink some hot milk and take a nap. You're cranky already. Let the adults talk.

are you that dumb ? what productivity? he didn't even play half a season and even if he did play a full season you and your fuck boi article can't predict what would've happened the rest of the season.

Miami can't keep him healthy no more than Portland could Jackass, they have no control over that and who gives a fuck if he picked Miami or not? for the tenth time they'd still win without him. He's just going to be a top draft bust that gets a ring riding the bench and your obviously not an adult so STFU!

what productivity?

You fucking clown. Any player that has ever played a game has stats. Oden has played for a total of 82 games. During the 82 games, he's very productive. He's injury-proned and can't stay healthy. However, when he plays, he's productive. That's not even debatable so stop trying to argue the shit.

Dumb ass muthafucka can't distinguish between someone having serious healthy issues and someone being productive when he actually does manage to get on the floor.

However, when he plays, he's productive. (82 games and hasn't played in 4-5 seasons is not productive) I don't gave a damn what his average was then, he ain't putting them numbers up now and won't ever again.

That's not enough debateable (debatable) so stop trying to argue the shit.

Only thing I'm debating is whether or not you know how to spell or write a complete sentence? :smh:

try spell check simple minded fuck boy

damn theres alot of salt in this thread..

People heads are exploding. The reality of the matter is that if they work him slowly into the rotation and his knees hold up, he's the perfect piece IF ONLY for the Pacers. The player that gave them the most problems during their last playoff run was Roy Hibbert. Oden is big enough and strong enough to keep Hibbert out of the paint enough so that Hibbert doesn't again have his best professional series ever again. Also, Oden blocks shot and rebounds..which is another area where Miami struggles. If he even gives them half the possible production, he'll help them get back to the Finals. Will take a lot of pressure of Lebron too (on the defensive end...especially on the glass). Riley is smart enough to take his time with Oden and limit his minutes. They're a few organization that are smart enough to handle this situation and Miami is one of them. The Suns have an excellent training staff but he wasn't going there. I think San Antonio would have taken care of him as well. The upside for both parties makes sense in Miami though.

Low risk, high reward.

If reasonbly healthy he gives the Heat what they been lacking. If he can't stay healthy they still the team to beat. Pistons may get in as a 7 or 8 seed and I can see Drummond giving Oden that work:yes:. Lopez would be a tough cover for Oden on the offensive end as well. Still if healthy gives Miami options they never had before.

TRUTH

He still should have went to the Spurs instead.

He's not keeping shit honest.:smh: Hibbert's getting better and will be hitting j's next season. He'll be a liability if the Heat make it to the ECF. As for defense, he'll be easier to cover than Birdman or a Bosh. A conventional lineup plays right into the Pacers' hands.

If healthy Odens defensive rim protection and boards will make the heat damn near unbeatable.

You will have Birdman, Bosh, Haslem, and oden:eek:

He grabs Rodmans at pretty high clip. A good signing for the Heat. Pretty much all he needs to do is grab boards with the occasional post scoring and he will be straight.

he does give them another inside presence along with bird man
but every time he goes up there's a strong possibility he comes down and breaks something
how effective can he be with reduced minutes? not in the flow of the game?
at o state he WAS the team. can he come off the bench? and what about fouls? you need him inside to stop other teams inside game in the 4th quarter. how's he gonna do that with 4 fouls?
on the other hand, could be a great pick up

I see him getting hurt moving out the lane for wade and lebron the go to the rack

The cool thing about playing for the Heat is when you’re LeBron’s teammate and you screw up, nobody gets mad at you for missing a shot or turning the ball over — they get mad at LeBron for passing to you in the first place.

His knees haven't held up since his mid-teens, you and The Heat are the only ones confident in his knees.

Either that or he'll be next years Juwan Howard or Eddy Curry.
