Obama is such a moron!

I thought he did well. Answered questions the right way. McCain scares me... Talkin about being a captive is cool... But that's why he's fucked up. Describing it... You wouldn't expect for anyone to be sane after that...

Didn't I tell you guys Obama is a pussy. He comes off soft, so he won't scare white folks.

What the fuck is you smokin? McCain didn't expound on none of the difficult questions, he answered them in a dismissive way. He talked of his stories with people which was an absolute lie. McCain ain't believe 99% of the shit he said.

He is taking that "My Friends" shit from Ronald Reagan I mean really it was like North Carolina (Obama) coming on to Duke's court (McCain)

That's all he needed to do! Obama should never agree to be posed questions about abortion, stem cell, marriage, if he wants to court evangelicals. Progressive and liberals are a different story. He should just keep talking about jesus, sponsor faith based initiatives.

It just a no win proposition for him. Eventhough he didn't do badly, it just not good enough. Basically, John is the winner tonight.

I am looking to their first debate where Obana can intellectually slap him.

Evangelicals or cult members have no pull no more especially after they got hook winked by GWB on his compassionate conservative platform

Obama is going to intellectually slap him, shit will not even look fair.

gotta admit...Mccain was smooth tonight.
he been working with somebody.
how did yall like the way our new president Mccain handled his bizness tonight?
lol

Well to Evangelical's defense, the "young ones" are not single issue voters. Meaning they are willing to waive their anti pro choice beliefs in order to seek out other candidates who are committed to fighting AIDS, helping the homeless, getting clean energy, bringing the troops home etc. I read an article a few months ago that there are evangelicals who are like Obama because they've realized wedge issues like abortion and gay rights are divisive and are now trying to getting more important stuff accomplished.

Yep. That is who he is reaching out to... I've read lots of articles about how evangelicals are dissatisfied with the GOP and conservative movement...and McCain..and many have openly supported Obama and/or taking a hard look at not voting Republican for the first time in their lives..

You guys ain't seen nothing. Just turn to C-Span and listen to this black preacher bashing Obama and praising McCcain.:smh:

Exactly. That's why I think its a good idea that he doesn't shy away from these people. It's not like the whole world don't know he's pro choice. They already know where he stands. Thats why he's beating John McCain 2:1 on the woman vote. He can't lose any more support from evangelicals than he's already had due to his liberal positions. If he can keep the percentage Kerry had and add a little more then its a success.

100 million adults don't vote because theres no reason to - democrats always move right and don't give them a reason to vote. evangelicals are a small minority. obama is going to lose this way. these crackers ain't voting for his black ass.

:smh:

Actually Obama accounted himself quite well at this event. He answered the questions before him and did not step into any landmines. He also told them in the strongest language possible that he does not approve of Clarence Thomas, Scalia, or Chief Justice Roberts. To the BGOL fam he played chess not checkers again tonight.:lol::lol::lol:

I would agree those Justices he named noticed they were picked by Republican presidents. Straight far right wing justices.

Some of these dudes don't see it they wanna see the man fail
so bad they quick to call a L......Barack gave dudes options either
run for office there-self or vote Mccain. i love when he called out
Clarence Thomas his best shit

Hell. I have White friends from Orange County, that always tell me that there are some really racist folks that live there.

That said,

I really like the way Obama came off. His answers to Rick Warren's questions were pretty thoughtful. Dude's thinking process shows that not everything can be view in terms of black and white. Show that complex problems can't be solved with jingos.

McCain on the other hand, had responses that came off too quick and simple. And Dude had to get his military service in on questions that had no bearing on it. And don't get me started on his "stories for everything". Felt that was a defense mechanism to prevent him from handling the tougher questions.

As for Rick Warren,

Dude obviously wants to be seen as a religious power player now. Those who got on his "Purpose Driven Life" trip are starting to see the real Warren as a right-ringer. I truly don't believe the Dude to have a non-denominational bone in his body. I could be wrong. But as I stated, Dude's church is in Orange County.

Yep, they never voted for him in the primaries.

:hmm:

evangelical christians are OVERWHELMINGLY republican.

once again, this is not a demographic that he needs to win. they are hardcore republicans, abortion and gay marriage is all they really care about.

you want me to pull out some stats on evangelical christian voting patterns? what about orange county want to discuss what kind of white folks live there and how likely they are to support a black man for president?

go re-read my post. ONE HUNDRED MILLION AMERICAN ADULTS DON'T BOTHER TO VOTE. why is that?

man..i bet he made that shit up anyway...

Almost a shockingly good grasp of the facts like he knew what the questions were.. I've never seen him this good with non-scripted questions...

Man in the end.....the old man beat him good. Old man has more substance:yes:

I think that was my problem. I expected him to come off as a babbling idiot. He actually sounds like he has a good command of the facts and he's doing damn well with a friendly audience.

Actually this is McCains type of event. He's at his best in town hall type places where he can joke and tell stories.

If you have been watching that Pastor just set Obama up, this man said that McCain was somewhere where he couldn't hear the questions but it seems to me McCain was answering the questions before they were asked..... WHAT I AM SAYING IS THIS BASTARD GOT A COPY OF THE QUESTIONS BEFORE THIS EVENT AND THAT WHITE ASS NO GOOD PREACHER HELPED HIM GET IT. SAY WHAT YOU WANT BUT THIS SHIT WAS SETUP

BINGO!!The GOP know they can't win, especially not without the evangelicals. This was set up to make McCain look good.

I think that the greatest benefit of this non-debate will be to lull the McCain camp- and America- into a false hope that McCain will stand on his own two feet in front of a non-partisan crowd with tough, experienced debate moderators.

Don't forget, McCain was pandering (stump speech !?) to his base tonight (votes he already had), while Obama was trying to introduce himself to a subsection of voters that have generally been hostile to Democrats (votes he may steal from McCain). It is only in the understanding of this setting that you can see how the 'loser' really won, and the 'winner' really lost.
