I'm not saying that Eli will play forever... but... I am saying that the Giants' way building is from the line of scrimmage out... Meaning, they build from the line of scrimmage, on both sides of ball first, then they go with QBs and everything else.
Eli hasn't had any major injuries thus far... His arm strength is fine... So I'd say he has at least 4 or 5 good years left in him... As good as Bridgewater may be, he's also frail... and if we were to draft him and put him behind this SHITTY O-Line that we have right now... We'd end up getting that boy killed...
I believe Clowney is BY FAR the most physically gifted player coming out of the draft... BUT... we don't go in that direction... then... we need to address our most glaring weakness... Our O-Line...
I wouldnt invest all that in clowney off of one big play.
Clowney is way more than that Michigan play... Dude has been productive his whole college career... The fact is... teams are playing away from him... or double and sometimes, triple teaming him... That won't be the case if he's come to the Giants... but... Like I said before... We build from the line...OUT... So, if we don't take Clowney... Matthews from Texas A&M would be a smart choice... IF HE'S AVAILABLE...

It was and ugly ass W, but it was a W.
It's too early to say if the D has turned the corner but they've played good football against the teams they're supposed to (actually they've played decent ball against everybody, but TOs, lack of 1st downs, and short fields were leaving them in bad spots).
That said, we got some shit going on with the offense that HAS to get fixed. Barely beating the play clock every down, formation penalties (for the same fuckin' play), and piss poor play in the red zone is inexcusable.

All and all, Clowney ain't gonna be THAT dude to turn a team around. Enjoy the victories and the weak division. As a Vikings fan, I'm not really worried about him one way or the other since we're doing terribly and might just be a #1 or #2 overall pick.
If the draft goes Jags #1, Vikings #2...Clowney could very likely be around. I don't think he's an automatic or a lottery pick like some fans think.

As a Giant fan living in Clowney's home town, I look at some of the comments here and some of yall sound like old heads who had too much liquor in their younger days. Like yall dont really know sports and contracts and what makes a successful team.
