No FEMA. Severe Central Texas flooding

Central Texas and the TexasHill Country topography has a thin layer of top soil with rocks and boulders under. That area of Texas is normally pretty dry so the ground doesn't hold much water so all they have are rivers around. All them rivers drain to the Gulf of Mexico which are not close to Central Texas.

They have had way above normal rainfall this summer and this week they got hit again. 10 inches of rain in a couple hours will do damage anywhere, especially a place that doesn't get that type of rainfall.

You could have the best drainage system, but it wouldn't drain fast enough with a storm dropping heavy rainfall rates.
No NOAA matters my nig

No NOAA matters my nig
NOAA gots nothing to do with my post or the post I was replying to.

I was explaining the geography of the area where the floods happened.

Plus them arrogant honkies wouldn't listen to the NOAA warnings.

Heavy rainfall was forecast and mofos still went camping,5-7 inches were forecast but they ended up getting more. Who the hell would go camping with that much rain coming.

Texas Floods Latest: President Trump activates a disaster declaration for Kerr County, TX including FEMA & the US Coast Guard. This includes providing 2 helicopters and 3 aircrafts with thermal detection technology.

The death toll has risen to 68. 11 campers are still missing.

Additional reporting from CNN’s Betsy Klein in-part: “……The Austin-San Antonio office of the National Weather Service currently does not have a Warning Coordination Meteorologist. That is one key role, there are other top roles, that are currently vacant as the (current) administration had offered some early retirement incentives as it sought to really scale down the size of the Federal government in its initial weeks…(Some) sources say that this office had adequate staffing and resources…It’s also worth noting that the…Fiscal Year 2026 budget, which they’re already abiding by, includes cuts to some of the technology that is so critical for weather forecasting….”

For Klein’s FULL report video is below, along with additional context from the New York Times via the link: x.com/meidastouch/st…

God bless the first-responders & volunteers in ongoing relief efforts.
