New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in NY?

Re: New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in N

Why do people question the Giants O line when Eli has played like ass even when he's had time in the pocket to throw?

The problem with Eli is... instead of having happy feet when he's pressured... He gets a HAPPY ARM.... :smh::smh::smh:

Pressure will come and he'll just chuck some bullshit... :smh:

BUT... if he has time, he'll do the damn thing...

Re: New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in N

Mario and Courtney didn't have anybody lining up on the other side that was worth a damn... and let's be fair to Mario... He was a pretty good player his first few years in the league.

...AND... IF we get Clowney, he'll be coming to a team that has has a lot of success with DEs... and DTs...

Eli isn't going anywhere... and Bridgewater would NOT see the field for at least 3 or 4 years... Clowney, on the other hand, would be on the field... and I believe he would help us immediately...

Truth be told... If it were a choice between... Clowney and Cyrus Kouandjio... I'd take Cyrus... ASAP... but... between Teddy and Jaydeveon... just off of NEED... iIm taking Clowney.... BUT...whatever choice Jerry makes... I can live with it... he's hit way more than he's missed...

I feel what you're saying. We'll see. JPP gotta get healthy. Because if he's playing next season like he is this year than Clowney too won't be playing next to nobody.

And in regards to Reese, I got respect for him so this is no shot but what has he done since 2008? Just looking at ya'll roster.....seems a bit rough.

Re: New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in N

Watching SC games this year... Teams are running away from him... and double teaming him a lot... but you know else is happening... The OTHER D-linemen are stepping up... which says to me that his presence has helped that d-line... Now... I will say this... SC has some other guys on that line that can play too... BUT... overall... I do agree with your point... 100%

yea that's part of it. but the real thing is we have to wait and see.. position player is a lock. the only real locks in the top 5 are o-linemen. i think he'll do well in the nfl if going to the right team.. and also he'll have to learn to not be frustrated.. and stay even if he doesn't have good games..

he's the same as his brother in that regard. difference is his brother's o coordinator has always called routes that take about 2 seconds to develop...eli's about 4 get to both of them they get happy feet and make messed up throws that's proven. there's like 3 qb's who will keep taking hits and not get happy feet. and all 3 of em stay injured so

well gm's almost always hold on a year too long. recently our gm has cut that holding on stuff out.

ozzie don't hold on too long he turns the roster over.. he ain't even let them get a mulligan year after the super bowl..
patriots always turns their roster over..
other than that i can't think of any that just turn the shit over and let people walk away like that.

but there are plenty that try to keep the core and add pieces via free agency

reese just held on 1 year too long..

it looks like the falcons gm held on 1 year too long as of right now too.

Reese is money in the first couple rounds. The thing with him is that he tends to gamble on late picks with these project high upside players, and more often than not they tend to be failures, but then again he's good at finding these undrafted free agents.. (Cruz, Hynoski, Will Hill).

Almost all of Reese draft picks didn't pan out because of injury. He's not drafting poorly, but he's had a horrible run of injuries.

Wow.. just remembered how terrible the 2010 draft class was, on top of that faggot Matt Dodge punting to DeSean Jackson to knock us out of the playoff picture

Fam, they told that dude as he was leaving the sidelines not to punt to Desean.

How can you tell who's out of football because of injury? Some of those guys just can't play. I never questioned him until I seen him sign Dan Connor. I was like naw man....

Far too many "out of football" guys. Those dudes should still be in the prime of their careers. Crazy....

Re: New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in N

I got nothing against the Giants... local team and all...but I just wish they would cut down on the Eli commercials while he/they are playing like shit. I swear, you can't go more than 5 minutes without seeing him selling dunkin donuts or some shit. When you're 1/3 into the season and got no wins, that shit is extra annoying.

As fars as Reese goes... He drafted JPP... Hakim Nicks... Victor Cruz... Linval Joseph( VERY UNDERRATED DT)... He's also the guy who found Ahmad Bradshaw... so... He had quite a few successes... and he's done well with free agency in the past too.

Reese is a VERY good GM... and although we're an EXTREMELY shitty year... I have confidence that he will right the ship... I just feel that he needs to go into the playbook of his predecessors... like George Young a little bit more... George believed in LBs and O-Linemen... Ernie Accorsi believed in BEST AVAILABLE PLAYER... Jerry is a student of Ernie.... but... I think he's neglected the LB and O-Line part.

The article pretty much covers who's out of football because of injury.

Yeah, some of those dudes just didn't pan out but most were injured.

Shit, Chad Jones from LSU never even made it to camp. Dude crushed his leg in a one car accident 2 months after the draft.

Yea Nicks, JPP and Cruz are big time players but you gotta hit more than that. DOn't have to be Pro Bowlers but atleast legit starters.

Re: New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in N

Of course, that list doesn't include players like Victor Cruz, Henry Hynoski, Will Hill, and Stevie Brown.. all UDFA that made it to the Giants roster

Re: New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in N

Teams are running away from Clowney..

and sometimes double and triple teaming him...

You put that boy with another pass rusher... A guy like... JPP...:yes::yes:

Either he's gonna have a good year... OR... JPP is gonna have a good year...

I'm sorry... BUT I WANT HIM ON MY GIANTS ROSTER...

Especially now that Tuck has fallen off... We can definitely use CLOWNEY....

Uhhh, hate to point this out, but JPP is actually having a WORSE season than Tuck, & Tuck SUCKS right now!!!

Stats from last night...

Justin Tuck = 2 tackles, 1 pass defensed

JPP = 1 tackle, 1 assist

For the season

Justin Tuck = 24 tackles, 13 solo, 11 assists, 0.5 sacks

JPP = 15 tackles, 13 solo, 2 assists, 1 sack

NEITHER one is the dominant force that they are being PAID to be, and Kiwanuka is basically just holding his own!!!

Re: New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in N

NFC east team gonna be 6-10 with a home playoff game

Damn shame

And I want the giants to go 0-16

Fuck em

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Clint Sintim was a "bust" due to injuries, right?!?

He burst onto the scene with 2 sacks in one game and basically disappeared after that, becoming injured in the pre-season for the next 2/3 seasons in a row, the second & third times after the Giants moved him to LB with the emergence of JPP to complement Tuck & Umenyiora.

Re: New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in N

Don't be so quick for Coughlin to go. There's a lot wrong with the Giants, much of this is due to injuries. An the Giants not resigning their free agents and not getting replacements of equal value. You can't go cheap and expect to remain competitive in the NFL.

New coach means a new program but to me the blame belongs with the owners.

Giants had to go cheap. That big deal for Eli had us fucked up with the cap. Guys were wanting big dollar, multi-year deals and we couldn't afford it.

That's why Eli said that he'd restructure his contract to help get Cruz signed.

This was from March 2012: Eli restructures

and he made a similar offer over the summer:

If the Giants want to work something out, I am always up for listening and figuring out what I can do to help the cause," Manning said when asked if he would restructure his contract

Re: New York Giants fall to 0-6. Last in NFC East. Tom Coughlin ERA finally over in N

NFC East is a joke, they don't deserve a playoff team

And that's the thing

If you pay the QB that big ass contract and have to go cheap at other spots because of it you expect the QB to lead your team cuz it's built around him

Not throw 3 picks a game

Yeah. Eli is just playing like straight ass. He's averaging 3 picks a game....playing like Schaub and shit....he's just making mistakes. Giants would be 3-3 at this point if not for a few of those dumb ass interceptions.

Fuck that! In 2010, the Seahawks won the NFC West with a 7-9 record (and actually kept us out of the playoffs at 10-6). It's our turn to stink up the joint and piss off a more deserving team.

That's the part that pisses me off with the whole shit. Eli be pulling the same bullshit he did as a first or second year guy....fuckin' 9 years in!!!

Yeah, he got the two rings, and yeah, he's had some nice comeback games, but some of the shit this dude does is fuckin' mind bogglin'.

This dude opened the season by throwing a pick on a fuckin' screen pass...a gawddamned screen pass!

Last night the D bailed this dude out from the first pick inside the 20, this muthafucka comes right back and throws a pick 6. This muthafucka might just be point shaving!

Exactly. Fuck them. NFC West was trash and ya'll didn't say shit about them.

I agree. We need to petition the league to see if we can make that happen.

And good luck starting a petition. The NFC East may be trash but the NFL knows that's where its ratings come from. Giants can be 0-16 and people will still tune in.

Well they need to figure something out or Eli won't have much of a future left. This line will get him killed.

IMO the Giants have been sub-par for the last 5 years. That last Superbowl win was a fluke. Especially their receiving core. Seems Plexico Burress was the only one who knew to adjust his routes for Eli's somewhat errant passes. Either way this years team will finish last in the NFC East.

The question is will they win a game? That 1 and 3 preseason and 0 - 6 start is no mistake, this team sucks. The weakest teams on their schedule are The Eagles (1 game) and 2 with the Redskins.

Giants 0 - 16..............................its possible.

BTW I'm a Giants fan. :crymeariver:

if they get the number 1 pick do they draft bridgewater at the qb in waiting sort of like rodgers was in green bay

No Eli is signed long term. What they need is linemen on both sides.
