Don't know how to feel about this one. On one hand he is right NY is quick to jump on the nuts of outsiders now-a-days and yet show little support to the locals, but Joe should fall back a little he need all the fan support he can muster. Only thing he's known for in 08 is for having a chick with a fatty.

You know what I can't stand also about NY cats (I'm a bronx native by the way so I can speak on this). When ever I see dudes listen to a song they quick to say, how they man from up the block is way better. Damn man just enjoy the music. NY is full of music critics, but no music appreciators.
On some realness, this is reminscent of all cities, not just NYC.
Example: Washington D.C.
The main stream artists that came from here do not get love in their own city first. They gotta be accepted outside of D.C. before they ever come home to any love.
Dave Chappelle broke to New York, and when New York showed him love, he came home and D.C. accepted him.
Mya Harrison left to L.A. and when she was doing her thang, and started getting some pub on collabos and what not, she came back to D.C. and got love.

Joe Budden is really from New York. He was born in New York and grew up there till like his teen years. Then he moved to Jersey and been there ever since. That's why he said a few times in that video, he can say what he says cuz he was born in NY and shit.

Buddens is right tho. I was born in NY, raised in Jersey and now live back in NYC. Niggas are haters for real. Everyone is so cool that they feel obliged to hate on they own. By the way, Budden gets heavy love out Jersey and in the city but the point he was makin is tru. I went to this show in the city a few months ago. It was a bunch of decent NY artists there and niggas was just lookin at them but for some reason, they went nuts when this dude Ace Hood came out. I was like wtf? Lemme clarify my original statement. Joc is a way better stage presence than Maino and all of the other current day NY artists of that magnitude: Hov however was the greatest show I've ever seen.
