A hip-hop personality implicated in the fatal May 2016 Irving Plaza shooting pleaded guilty Thursday to two federal weapons counts.
Daryl Campbell, who uses the name "Taxstone," copped to possessing a firearm as a felon and receiving a firearm in interstate commerce relating to the May 25, 2016 shootout.
The gunplay on Irving Plaza's third floor left three injured — including Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave, with whom Taxstone openly had a beef.
Troy Ave's bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, died in the crossfire.
Taxstone held without bail on charges in Irving Plaza slaying
While the Manhattan U.S. Attorney's office did not charge Campbell, 31, with a federal murder charge, they told Judge Lorna Schofield he brought a firearm to Irving Plaza and "fired one shot that killed Ronald McPhatter" as well as additional shots during the confrontation.
Campbell faces up to 20 years in federal lockup.

Prosecutors have claimed they discovered Campbell's DNA on the murder weapon used during the deadly melee.
Prosecutors have also alleged DNA from Troy Ave, whose legal name is Roland Collins, and DNA from McPhatter, were found on the gun.

The Manhattan District Attorney's Office has charged Collins with attempted murder for his alleged involvement in the shooting.
Collins has contended he wrestled the gun away from the shooter — and fired back to defend himself.

It's safe to say that Casanonva and Troy Ave may never bury the hatchet.

(AllHipHop Rumors) The war of words between Casanova and Troy Ave continues. The latest round stems from a recent diss record released by Troy Ave.
The record "2 Legit 2 Quit" features some harsh bars from Troy Ave. An animated version of the rapper can also be seen throwing a middle finger from a court stand.
"I’m only loyal to my fam, middle finger from the stand, it’s either me or you," rapped Troy Ave.
The animated visual features animated reinterpretations of incidents surrounding Troy Ave's life.
Casanova caught wind of the visual with Troy Ave trending on Twitter and offered his opinion on the video.
"Watch out for a N***a that put out song and say "I'm only loyal to my fam middle finger from the stand it's either me or its you" cause they f*cking RATS!!!!! Ok I'm going back to being p***y can't argue with a n***a that's taking the stand," said Casanova.
Troy Ave also posted a screenshot of the visual and offered up the following caption.
"This video is currently banned from television due to "problematic violence" Fortunately #RealOnes could Watch it in my Bio Ya Boi Won't Be Stopped.," said Troy Ave.
Their war of words dates back to the incident that led to Hip Hop podcaster Taxstone being incarcerated. The incident resulted in the death of Troy Ave’s bodyguard.
Taxstone is currently imprisoned and fighting the charges being brought against him for the 2016 incident. Troy Ave was also charged with crimes related to the incident, but not charged with the death of his bodyguard.

Yesterday, Cardi’ B’s best friend and podcaster Star Brim unleashed an angry tirade towards rapper N.O.R.E. in response to an interview he held on Drink Champs with rapper Troy Ave.
On her podcast, Keeping it Bute, Star expresses her disdain towards N.O.R.E. for interviewing Taxstone’s enemy after Tax allegedly introduced N.O.R.E. to the podcast world. She said, “You go against Taxstone, you can ‘suck my d***, F*** you Noreaga!” and she added when it comes to loyalty there is no other person’s side.
Star also stated that she met Taxstone through a friend and when they were locked up together, she would send sexy photos to Tax through the guards so he could “get right.”
In response to Star’s allegations, N.O.R.E. released a video of him jogging in Los Angeles and invited one of her guy friends for a conversation. He also poked at the fact that Star Brim and Taxstone’s podcast interview over the phone caused him to get in trouble in jail with the authorities. “Didn’t you get him the box for that phone call? Didn’t you ask him about his sex life in jail? You not funny.”

Troy Ave appeared on Noreaga’s ‘Drink Champs’ podcast and pleaded his innocence insisting he had nothing to do with the shooting that took place at Irving Plaza in 2016. Instead he confirms that the gun he was seen shooting on surveillance that fatal night belonged to Daryl “Taxstone” Campbell.
In two months, Taxstone’s trial is set to begin for the murder of Troy Ave’s bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter. Tax is facing a life sentence for the fatal shootout after police found his DNA on the 9-millimeter Kel-Tec semi-automatic handgun’s trigger, handgrip, and magazine. After a history of online beef Taxstone and Troy Ave allegedly got into a dispute, which resulted in shots fired in a crowded VIP room at the concert venue spilling into the main area where four people were injured.
Troy Ave discusses his past and present and how the case has affected his life.
“I lost so much money and, more importantly, I lost custody of my kids,” said Troy Ave about how this has changed his life. “N***a, I’m still out on bail right now, half a million dollar bail.” He went on to address the snitching allegations, saying: “Now when people sayin’ I’m telling this person and telling that person whatever, I said in a line that I’m only loyal to my fam, middle finger from the stand, you saying it’s me when it’s you. That means that that person already went and said it was me. Period! This is court documented. That person already went and implicated me in crimes that I had nothing to do with. I’d be in jail right now if I had something to do with it. I had nothing to do with it.”
