Nobody pay 20 a month streaming to watch red one.. they paid for streaming service and it just so happens that red one was on it for free big difference… what does it say about the audience absolutely nothing.. there’s a lot of restaurants you probably would never pay to eat at but if I gave you some items off the menu for free you’d prob try it.. free changes a lot of things.. there’s a lot of people that wouldn’t pay for certain concerts or sporting events but if you gave them a free tix they would go.. humans like free and would more likely try something they normally wouldn’t if they don’t have to pay for it.. that’s nothing new that’s been in existence since mankind step on this planet

Go back and read what I wrote. They paid for the service period so out OF ALL the hundreds of options they CHOSE to watch it

Moana and Wicked and Inside Out and Deadpool were all very good near billion dollar movies. And there were a TON of good smaller movies.
Even disposable movies like Trap did well in theatre and streaming.
For every bad movie, album, book there is a good one. That's just life.

Amazon might argue we KNEW it was gonna do basic numbers it was never about that. The theatre release gave it more exposure now it's killing on our service. The publicity for Prime is great. And now we have a go to annual film we can promote forever and make a sequel. We OWN the IP. We can do spin offs etc etc.

I agree business wise. It was fun but good nah. But Deadpool is successful in general. All the movies did well. So its litter bit different.
That can all be true. But we know that wasnt the plan. This a 250 mill movie. They can do that on 50 to 100 mill budget. They want this to be big. And now they might break even thats about it.
