New Movie Trailer: Red One f The Rock, Chris Evans, Lucy Li, JK Simmons (Action Christmas flick)

True. So again what they say about the audience?

Cause NONE of this is FREE.

Theatre streaming etc.

So the house always wins

And audience again proves it's full of sh*t to an extent

It's not about good or bad or remake or reboot or sequel

It's about I ain't paying 20 each for this sh*t but I'll pay 20 a month to watch it at home.

Kraven gonna crash Netflix next year at this rate.
Nobody pay 20 a month streaming to watch red one.. they paid for streaming service and it just so happens that red one was on it for free big difference… what does it say about the audience absolutely nothing.. there’s a lot of restaurants you probably would never pay to eat at but if I gave you some items off the menu for free you’d prob try it.. free changes a lot of things.. there’s a lot of people that wouldn’t pay for certain concerts or sporting events but if you gave them a free tix they would go.. humans like free and would more likely try something they normally wouldn’t if they don’t have to pay for it.. that’s nothing new that’s been in existence since mankind step on this planet

But if it's sh*t on a plate?

WHERE did I say people paid streaming to watch red one?

Go back and read what I wrote. They paid for the service period so out OF ALL the hundreds of options they CHOSE to watch it

That's the thing curiosity so yes it does say a lot about the audience

They are Predictable (that's YOUR LINE TALL!)

And other bad movies have dropped on steaming and gotten ignored so it's not that simple.

It's almost train wreak logic. I knew this would happen though because the modern audience now looks at a movie and decides immediately is this worth the price of admission or am I just gonna stream it?

No matter what they are deciding to invest time and effort to see it.

No one is forcing them.

At kraven lol.

People are already on Amazon and Netflix. And I said it before some movies are cool to watch at home. But not to go to the movies. Look at badlands horrible movie. But cool to just catch it at home.

The movies are just trash. Just putting big names in it isnt working anymore.

You can't say that. That just not true. But it sucks to feel that way.

you named the absolute worst movie of the entire year as a symbol of the whole slate? wtf is that argument you making?

Moana and Wicked and Inside Out and Deadpool were all very good near billion dollar movies. And there were a TON of good smaller movies.

Even disposable movies like Trap did well in theatre and streaming.

For every bad movie, album, book there is a good one. That's just life.

Ain't nothing changed.

I said "some"tho not all. Also Deadpool wasnt a good movie to me. It was cool what they did but purely judging on good it wasnt that.

My point was there was a time were this formula would work and now it doesnt.

Of course your right and again we agreeing basically

This is a huge topic to breakdown

And we not gonna do it for free on here

(You taught me that too)

Parents were not paying to take the family to see it in theatres. They promoted it badly.

Which is exaxtly what I said BEFORE the movie even released, go look.

But at home? Perfect.

The point it is that it's the same exact product but it's what folk are willing to PAY for it. Be it time and ir money there is always a price.

That's you opinion (which I 100% agree with by the way)

but "good" is subjective

And it made a billion dollars to Hollywood?

It was f**king great

Never forget it's a BUSINESS.

They will remix the formula and it will be fine. Things grow stale and Hollywood is a business they get a hit? Just keep making the same hit. Till it dries up. Standard operating procedure.

And then wait awhile, do it again exactly and the same critics will say - WOW THIS IS A THROWBACK! That's how they used to make movies great! Why did they ever stop??!

This movie should do at least 500 mill but the target was 750 or more. It flopped

I don't know what the plan is. They couldn't have been this stupid.

This is the only other way to spin it.

That's literally pocket change to Amazon.

Amazon might argue we KNEW it was gonna do basic numbers it was never about that. The theatre release gave it more exposure now it's killing on our service. The publicity for Prime is great. And now we have a go to annual film we can promote forever and make a sequel. We OWN the IP. We can do spin offs etc etc.

We win.

I agree business wise. It was fun but good nah. But Deadpool is successful in general. All the movies did well. So its litter bit different.

That can all be true. But we know that wasnt the plan. This a 250 mill movie. They can do that on 50 to 100 mill budget. They want this to be big. And now they might break even thats about it.

All that matters is the money bro

Good? Well that's great. Awards even better.

But profit is king. IP is king.

But good movies don't automatically do well many times they don't.

And just because a movie made money doesn't mean it's artistically good

But it's good because it did the job... made money.

And even "made money" using Hollywood math is a cesspool.

We living in Babylon

I don't know what the plan is bro.

Don't even THINK we ever gonna know the truth.

I know people WHO WORK for streaming services can't properly explain in English how they making money past subscriptions and ads.

But I do know that film budget is nothing to them ar Amazon and also they ain't out here WASTING money.

Yeah they are that stupid.. you don’t spend 250 million on a home movie.. they just thought you automatically put a few big names together and people will easily come out and spend money to see them.. they now hope to at least make their budget back and try to promote it in a positive way by saying the most watched film in such a such history
