Because I played with Shaq. It’s that simple. A lot of the time we cancelled each other out. I sacrificed a lot playing with him. I really did. I did it for the success of the team. If I never played with him, my numbers would have been ridiculous.

he probably wouldnt have those 3 rings, but this is true. he would have averaged 40. who was he going to pass the ball to? Deveon George? Slava Medvedenko? He might have one more MVP.

I think Odom, Artest and Gasol were happy to play alongside of him. I mean, after all, it was Ron Artest who came to Kobe and said he wanted to join the lakers. But i agree with your statement for the most part. It is what it is, one more season and it will all be over. he only has a year and a half left, and then he is retiring. when he retires, the lakers will have some dough. the rebuilding process wont take that long.
