New Clipse album "Let God Sort Em Out". OUT NOW!

I always wanted to know the music making process for why niggss be having 100 records just laying around snd they be mid….thats why Clipse music sound like it does….they make music for albums.
It started with r&b albums. You make as many songs as possible then pick the best 13-15. The goal is to keep recording because as an artist you always create and sometimes you crank out the hit you were missing. The crazier part is even after an artist passes away those songs never see the light of day

Tyler new album gone go crazy especially if he get a feature

But just imagine if they had Nas and Jay on the same song
Can Nas do braggadocious rhymes on Biggie’s level? You can't sell out the hood and sell in and to the hood. Is Nas a corporate earner?

The brands cited in the rhymes reveal the truth about the realities on the ground.

Well clearly he’s still upset about not winning a Grammy
He keeps bringing up Grammy nominated
Chappelle complained until he got the rights to his TV show back. A Grammy means you can go on tour and maybe the market is saying they don't want another tour right now.

Biggie is relevant because the brands he rapped about have a vested interest in keeping his music around.

Nas has made some very smart investments as well I’m not a real big fan so I can’t speak on his tours etc but if he just walked away from music today,I wonder how they would mention him among the greats

It depends on whether the commentator grew up listening to the Jim Jones of the world or not.

You can be raised in the tenements and still have vivid stories of the soil from the Senegal River to the Sanaga River.

People who consistently listen to Jim has learning disabilities
Maybe. However, the issue is whether Jimmy is more profitable than Nas now and what is the context?

Quincy can talk about making money in the 70s and 80s but how much can he make today? We have attached too many of our memories to capitalism. The intro to Chief Keef’s Love Sosa is indicative of our eventual demise.

It be sounding like they do back in the day I felt like they for sure saw the light of day….i remember Boxden and them drops…but shit maybe they was meant to be drops just to test the water….makes sense though what you saying. That’s probably when the music started declining….for some.

No, the output available for consumption isn't because the artists are losing skills but because the industry is trying to make music that's easy to consume and create. Folks will talk about Amazon burning through employees in New York but ignore how many the school district has failed.

How many songs and verses do you have as you wait for your big break? I have 6 classic verses in my collection that would get me signed in any era. I have distributors waiting to begin selling my limited edition t shirts and jeans with the matching sunglasses available for my dearest fans.

Jimmy is short term profit imo crumbs from jewelers etc
Nas is a long term high return profit and building generational wealth

I mean, what isn’t…
