Netflix: The Punisher official discussion thread UPDATE: HE IS BACK! (Daredevil Reborn)

I'm on episode 6 and I'm losing interest. Not enough action to keep me.... just talk talk talk about serving in military and how corrupt the government is.

When does the damn Punisher show up, since the first episode I haven't seen much punishing?

#Disappointed
same here but it got better later

it should have been 10 eps total

darn it...I was hoping not to see comments like this...slight issue I have w/ these marvel shows on netflix...shit always feels 2-3 eps too long...always throws in filler type eps halfway thru

Yeah, there is a slow point. I dozed off as well. But it picks back up. The finale is great

Ok. This show is horrible. They didn’t need to make a series on this crap. He could’ve keep making appearances on Daredevil. This shit is a straight drama for women with a little violence chipped in. It was like a big Lifetime movie. I couldn’t even finish this crap.

i would go raw

Word. Homeboy Billy Russo stayed splashing in her. Most guys would even bother to pull out.

I watched all the way to episode 12 and was like

Edit: This show was a total letdown even worse than Iron Fist. The Punisher would’ve been better off guest staring in the other shows like he was doing.

There were like ten times that he should have bled to death, but instead he washes his face, changes clothes and goes back to normal. :smh::lol:
the time line for his recovery from injury is HORRIBLE..:roflmao:

this mothafucka gets shot up and cut in serious places and the way the events happen recovers in like hours or days at MOST. how the fuck you climbing out the top of an elevator with a separated shoulder?

I LIKED it...but the way they did it I'm not seeing how this is going to be ongoing..in the comics frank castle is at his core psychotic....the whole wife and kids things is an excuse for him. And in the punisher MAX series he SET HIS FAMILY UP to get killed so he'd have a reason to get back to killing and war.

This show gave him closure...so whats season 2 gonna look like or will there be a season 2?

billy was a savage...bitch just got out the hospital all bruised up ...

ni99a was like ..."baby i dont have to lay on u .... "

look, tone, and collar scheme from the other shows... this show

Trying to determine if the FBI chick is hot or not. Sometimes she looks good then other times it's like eh.

She's a good actress though.

I'm ready to hold her hand in public.. lol.

People say that there wasn't enough violence, but the violence that was there was extremely brutal.
Especially the last two major fight scenes.
As far as the story, you have to have some slow points, or else Frank killing people for 50 minutes gets stale pretty quickly.
One thing that was mentioned that I didn't like, was Frank's quick recovery time.
Dude took some serious damage multiple times, and was at full strength in less than a minute

Thats how i felt.
I felt like the first season should have been about the montage of him killing off the gang and cartel members with Micro with four episode arcs for each group.
Then this season shouldve beenthe 2nd.
I still enjoyed it though.

that works...but youd still have the same problem at the end of season 2...the closure issue. At the end he's killed everyone that needed killing and he realizes he can't live in perpetual war so whats next?:dunno:

Andre lincoln (rick from walking dead) and John Bernthal (punisher) are the exact same person. They act just alike..... Everything, mannerisms and all...

I wonder who copied who....
They spent too much time working together, I guess. (unless that was sarcasm) :D

Isn’t the guy who plays Rick British, or something, I’m guessing he copied his American accent and mannerisms for the show. Which would make sense since they were supposed to be close friends and coworkers.
That's a reasonable assumption, but I'm not sure. Watching them work early on, Andrew Lincoln seemed to show the greater acting range. Bernthal is a one-trick pony, but what he does, he does well. He was in a mobster period piece right after TWDead, and that was the most range I'd seen out of him, as an actor.

What you say about acting range may be true.

I haven’t seen any with Andrew Lincoln’s besides the walking dead, so maybe he had a handle on an American accent already, but the speech pattern, and etc., is similar enough to Bernthal that I could believe that’s where he got inspiration for his American accent.

All they have to do is say that he spent time in a makeshift super soldier experiment that he has a limited healing Factor . Because Fox is about to sue their ass for stealing the Wolverine character.
