Need Help With My HD Set-up [Porn Inside]

I have 5-6 year old Phillips 60" and I am going to the store right now to get a HDMI/DVI adapter (my TV has a DVI port, not an HDMI). Now I have 2 HDMI cables, but only the DVI porn on my TV. I have a DirecTV DVR set up with a PS3 and a VHS/DVD Recorder as well as a PS2. I have it hooked up via the big snake-like blue/black/red/green/etc cable

When I come back with the adapter is it better for me to hook it up to my PS3 or my DirecTV DVR? Unless there is a HDMI/DVI cable that splits off into two HDMI Female Cable ends (which I doubt). The DVD/VHS I really don't care about. Shit, I barely use it since I got the PS3. I just want to know what is the best way to set this thing up. I finally got tired of watching TV in Standard Def (insert Peyton Manning Picture here).

Do I need an HDMI Switch?
