Man, if I was at the Superdome today where the NFL hand picked a bunch of people to ask questions I would have had a question that a good majority would like to know:

When is the NFL going to release EA Sports from the EXCLUSIVE License? Madden has been bordering on terrible for 4 years. NFL 2K5 came out and was the best football game I have ever played and the very next year EA bought the licensing from the NFL so no other group could put out an NFL game with NFL teams and players. Competition makes things better. It makes companies try harder. The moniker for this year was "play games in half the time"?

Nobody complained about how long the games took to play. We want the franchise worked on and improved. Competition is the only way Madden can get back to being #1 FOR REAL instead of #1 by default.

Why the NFL charges full price for preseason games (like anybody wants to see Jarrett Brown try to play QB). Ask the NFL players. They said when Goddell came to their camps he really didn't know or say anything they didn't know. They actually said he was unprepared for the questions they asked him (I guess he thought they were just dumb jocks).

This is a question that those who watch football and have been playing Madden for years, who now have to suffer through playing madden because it is the only game in town.

The question is direct, and it asks for a date AND it lets him and the world know that the fans are tired of this BS game that has been put out for the past 4 years.

that would be hilarious and partially true

but i think the thing is that the pension structure is crazy when compared to the other sports. i remember reading that for players who have similar length careers, an NFL player would be getting about 51K per year in pension benefits but an MLB player would be making something like 200K. i forget the number of years, but i believe nfl players become fully vested after 3 years.
