Wisconsin may affect the working class for a number of years. It will be a mistake to think that the erosion of worker rights will be limited to Wisconsin, or to public workers. This is a test case and if successful; lobbyist will have politicians chip away at workers right to earn a living. It reminds me of implementation of segregation; political changes that oppress a segment of society under the illusion of creating a more effective government. The big difference is segregation only affected 11 percent of the population; worker rights have the ability to affect that 99 percent.
Pretty soon many have the abiliity to cut health plans, shorten or end vacation time, end OT pay, etc. Companies already stop giving days off for certain holiday and many people are working very long hour despite many of these employees are often classified as part-time workers. Let Americans learn the hard way I say.
