NBA Season is Returning This Year!!!!!!!

No surprise here, everyone in Houston knew he was a lame duck coach after they didn't offer him an extension. He just dipped before he got that call from Morrey.

D'antoni was a way better coach than McHale but as many know, his small playoff rotations always seems to bite him in the ass. It'll be interesting to see if the Rockets find a defensive minded coach or bring someone in their ranks who will promote the small ball play.

That's what I'm thinking too. No way he just up and quit. He must have seen the writing on the wall.

D'antoni is going to need some time away from the league. Maybe take a year off or go coach a college team to some glory. I'd be really surprised if he gets an offer from an NBA team within the next year.

If this goes to a Game 7, remember...........

The list of worthy candidates for the current coaching vacancy for the Philadelphia 76ers continues to grow. Headlined by Tyronn Lue and Billy Donovan, there is now another big name to add to the list.
Mike D’Antoni’s contract has ended with the Houston Rockets after four seasons and he is leaving the team to become a coaching free agent. He led Houston a 217-101 record during his time there and the team reached the Western Conference Finals in 2018 coming up one win short of the NBA Finals.

With D’Antoni now on the market, he is now a candidate for the coaching opening in Philadelphia, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. He was an assistant under former coach Brett Brown during the 2015-16 season before leaving for the Rockets job.

D’Antoni did a terrific job in Houston winning with small-ball, but Philadelphia is currently a team that is led by big men Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons as well as Al Horford. If the Sixers were to make this type of hire, it would certainly be interesting what the team does considering the roster is not currently constructed for his style.
